If he becomes mainstream then the demons will catch him and eat him. It will only be a short time before he feels compelled to get a face tatoo and do a collab with Nicky Minaj. Then we are all fucked!
I KEEP COMMENTING TO HIM TO GET SNOOP ON THE PHONE AND PRODUCE ONE HIT (THAT NETFLIX SHOW SONG) .. *HE NEEDS TO JUMP OFF THAT SHOW NOW!!* AND MAKE HIS MOVE INTO THE INDUSTRY LIKE CHILDISH GAMBINO AND ANDRE 3000 DID
@@kriskringle583 Yes yes yes. I couldn't agree with you anymore than I already do Kris!!!!! He is a genuine person. D Smoke has some beast in him.. That's why he won. He's been one of "them".
I'm from France, rhythm + flow made me discover you, I'm absolutely astonished and full of happiness when I listen you rappin. Stay yourself and I'll try to do my best to make you visible in France (sorry if my English wasn't perfect) you deserve to be known
Je l'avais découvert avec un autre morceau mais c'est vrai que ce mec a quelque chose. Si tu connais, je te conseille également Caleborate (Real person/4 Willem)
The camera work reminded me of Jordan Peele's new movie "Us" based off the trailers. I do love the song and considering it is based around having patience of hoping to make it within the Rap Industry as a Lyricist. People constantly say that that you're underrated and going to blow up soon (I remember that from "The Perils" song you released) which had nothing but positive feedback. But "Stop Shooting" and "See Me Now" didn't gain as much attention despite having a great context behind them with meaning. Personally my favorites was "Sunday Saxon" because the Lyrics speak a great tale of regrets but trying to teach someone your mistakes so they do not repeat them. Or perhaps it was a message to yourself when you were younger. Then "Off my Mind" was amazing! The Lyrics have the right amount of insecurity and anguish." Mind over matter, but does it matter if I do not mind..." was personally my favorite lyric because of complacency and not really wanting to care about what stresses you out. This music video seems kind of like "Sunday Saxon" in the way that you are talking with or at the child while feeling isolated within the glass walls as an archaic fortune teller machines you see at Carnivals. The line "Act like I haven't heard a thing except what I said. It sounds like you heard the song except what I said" sticks out directly because you faced the camera talking to the audience like "pay attention to what I say, it's important". I believe the messages behind your songs are amazing and I hope you continue making these videos and songs because I love the lyricism and the older style you utilize due to the fact that it is more relatable. A good beat and Lyrics that make you think that doesn't flex materialism; what more can you want?
Thank you, I personally been following Old Man Saxon since his Ted Talk about the true power of Hip-Hop and Rap if it is based around realness over whatever is appealing. Which is true, most songs of the genre that I listened to what E-Dubble until he died in 2014, he was extremely real within his lyrics, but never blown up. Then you get music publishers such as Strange Music who publishes Krizz Kalicko who is absolutely real with his lyrics but also makes it abundantly clear that all of his songs are jam packed with emotions most of the time that can be hard to relate to unless you have similar mental disorders. But then there is Old Man Saxon, who makes music with the right amount of relatability and emotion that is displayed by word usage and how amazingly he weaves the words together. I know the general consensus after "the Perils" is that he is going to blow up...but we didn't really stay in-tune for his next two releases which is a saddening truth. But I thoroughly enjoyed all of his works thus far and want to continue showing support to him!
This comment means so much. It's so refreshing to hear these sort of interpretations to the videos. You nailed it with the isolation behind glass walls comment. And noticing little details like what we did with the "Act like I haven't heard a thing" line. I know that the viewership doesn't have monster numbers but it's so encouraging to know that there are people paying attention to these details and digging the videos.
@@anthonyyanohays9706 Thank you, you could say my interpretations were on point, but I really loved the lyrics and how the video was produced so I wanted to show my appreciation as I suppose he feels underappreciated for the hard work he has done thus far. As a small RUclipsr myself, I can connect with that. My projects are not as artistic as his or meaningful by no means, but getting an audience that listens is the hardest thing to do unless you have some trends. I am glad Old Man Saxon refuses to do what the rest of the industry does and keeps his music relatable.
I'm disappointed that i hadn't found out about you sooner... But you were my favorite artist in Rhythm and flow cause you actually brought comedy and rap together which is something many people tend to shy away from. I salute you good sir.
I love this song: people from the outside congratulating you on achieving a dream when you're still dissatisfied and striving for more. It reminds me of when I've gotten new jobs that I don't really want to work and everybody is excited for me except myself. It also kinda fits with the all powerful fortune teller that can only use his powers for other people. Thank you for another amazing song and video Saxon. Also, I wonder if this is supposed to be a continuation of the story in Sunday Saxon or if its just the same kid in a new world? Keep doing what you're doing!!
Still one of my top songs. In the culinary biz and been here a while, had my opportunities. Cooked for big people, enjoyed every bit of it. I don't call myself chef reconsider myself that leader, just trying to do what I love no matter the struggle but still it hasn't happened. Doesn't mean I'll stop. 😉
Love everything you do. Been listening for a long time now. My favorite song has been Sunday Saxon since the day it came out. You're a big inspiration for me, and I hope to meet you some day, or at least see you live 🙂
Once again, you gifted the world of HipHop with a very unique piece of music with a very suiting and also every so abstract music video. Wow Saxon, you really outdid youself once again.
In my opinion. THE shining star of R+F. Incredibly gifted artist. Love music with personality. Anyone else get K.A.A.N vibes? Keep killing it Saxon. All the respect to this elder. 😂🔥❤️
You are like one of my favourite artists lately. Im more into metal and hard rock but i cant stop listening to your tracks, they make me feel stuff and its really rare with music nowadays, at least for me. The clip is great, minimalistic but with a distinctive style. Dont give up, the quality of your work speaks for itself.
Most underrated artist I have ever experienced personally. Old Man Saxon has been On Point from the start. Helped me overcome a lot too, so thank you. please come through Minnesota!
I binged on all 4 Netflix episodes, and googled or youtubed zero rappers, except this one. Yeah you sir, something abt you. Now, I like all your work. I’m a fan.
I swear, @RUclips - every single one of my replays BETTER count as a view. I love this....Big fan of cer Spence. This is straight fire... Thank you so much 😂
Been listening to you on and off the last couple years, On Point got me through some of my fiercest moments, even if I don't have the need for the ferocity anymore or still do what I felt like I was "On Point" with. All of your music touches me in different ways, and artists like you are who keep me moving forward even when things are the worst. As someone who has struggled almost all of their life with motivation, confronting issues, and dealing with my own identity; this song is incredibly motivating. It hasn't happened.
I used to listen to this song and Sunday Saxon on loop when I was mid deep in my depression. It resonated with me when I knew I had shit to do with my life but it just hadn't happened yet and I was just in a dormant phase. Since then things have looked up and I've overcome a lot, and after hearing this song for the first time in long while, I'm just feeling grateful. Glad to see you're getting more exposure and hope it just gets better for you from here!
