Something I've noticed after watching LEGO transformers channels like this are that the mechanics and techniques you can use are so vitally different. I think that's what makes these things so fascinating.
@@BenBoyee Mostly because of how similar they are to the Classic Seekers mold. Slightly updated, of course, but generally disappointing compared to other current figures.

@@cassidyjones2730 He could have a stealth bomber mode like he had in the IDW comics. Stealth bombers are enormous, so if IDW Megatron was scaled to the size on his alt mode, he could reach 50 ft. tall depending on how the proportions change during the transformation.

Beautiful design and engineering, just stunning! Would love to see your take on G1 Megatron, many I've seen here on youtube have (understandably) weid proportions
I'm not really a fan of how a c-clip and a rod thing (forgot what theyre called) is used as a transformation tab meant to be clipped and unclipped, especially since its on the feet area, where the robot mode has to stand on. This is mainly because of a hindered longevity as, at least in my experience, clipping an unclipping a c-clip onto an enclosed rod thing (once again, dont remember the actual name) numerous times doesnt end well for the clip part, and ive had multiple clips snap on me because they were either used in a build that didnt allow them to snap in fully or were simply being unclipped one time too many. I am aware that lego doesnt really make 1x1 ratchet hinge thingies, which is the only pther piece that could fit in that location, but I feel like this could be taken into account for future builds. Also, the reason why I mentioned the ratchet hinge thingy is because the side that has the two circles that go around the centered, beveled circle is actually desighned to be a loose-ish fit for c-clips, and is legal. The connection is stable but can easily be removed without fear of snapping the clip, and has been used in at least one set for this exact purpose (the razor crest uses this connection on the removable part of the windscreen). Anyways the rest of the build looks great, its just the way the toe tabs into the foot that makes me worry about longevity.
You're right, that applies to all clips and bars - all of which fail over time (due to stress fracture) even when not under load. That's why I was astonished that the arm connections, on the official Voltron set, somehow passed the final product review phase. It was the first thing I changed about that spuriously designed monstrosity. I mean, what kind of monster creates a connection that; * Uses multiple clips and bars. * Is designed to be repeatedly connected and disconnected. * Intended as a load bearing structure. * And, is also subject to torsional forces. Absolute degeneracy!
@@liberatumplox625 man the most recent set I got was the 90th anniversary galaxy explorer (havent built the alt builds yet because I like the main build too much) and I really am not a fan of how the rear locks together. But I also dont have the best or most easily accessible parts collection so Idk if I'll get around to fixing it. I think the main reason that drove me away from liking c clips was a moc I did at one point that had the wings at an angle using c clips, but it wasnt perfectly calculated which meant that they sat at a slight angle. I went through like three c clip parts in like a week. I admit the connection was slightly illegal but I didnt expect it to be that ridiculous, but now I do. Dont get me wrong, c clips are great for hinges in lego builds, but they should be left to hinges that don't do much more than maybe opening a door or canopy or just having an angled thing or having a bar attached to a thing, never a locking mechanism meant to be repeatedly clipped and unclipped.

When you make your own Megatron and Soundwave, will their alt modes be an oversized gun and boombox? Or will they have common or unique vehicles modes. I know they’re G1, but honestly, their original alt modes kinda suck. So I thought you could take inspiration from other versions, like Animated Megatron and Prime Soundwave. What do you think?
Personally I love Soundwave as a cassette player, so I wouldn't want to change him, and while I have no attachment to Megatron as a gun it would feel like the easy way out/cop out to make him something different, since the gun transformation is such a challenging one to make work.
