Wow, this is the best thing I have heard so far in as how the GNU should work. Everybody working together in each ministry. ANC keeping the DA honest and DA keeping the ANC honest. The ANC can make sure the DA takes care of the poor, true unity. I cant see why anyone would find fault with that.

IFP is just trying to save its premier in KZN, they know very well that if EFF joins this coalition there will be end of that 18% premier. 😂
How capable are the ANC in repairing our country? Zuma and Ramaposa destroyed it now need help of the GNU to fix it, if they allow.
Just look at all the Zondo Commission comprised ministers that have gone back to parliament even a minister charged with corruption.

Is this really the Professor is aware that there is nothing historical here? The only thing is that the ANC has lost its majority. Subsequent to that, it handed over power to the party that dislikes their policies. The DA has long ago said that it will be working with the Government of Ramaphosa. There is nothing special about this arrangement. The only thing is that Ramaphosa keeps his end of bargain.

Decolonising in this instance means reallignment with BRICS and like minded parties, the Dutch settlers are pro geno west and the rest of us are pro Russia and I don't see why we should have accomodate that at the expense of our patnerships.

The mistake The South African political analysts, together with some leaders, are calling the ANC and the DA without generalizing the whole parties in coalition and the gnu.
Will Africans really take another 30 years of ANC-DA chicanery? This time with the DA upping the ante by actually being in the drivers seat?
If the economy improves and the unemployment rate goes down , South Africans will certainly reward the DA with more votes.

The DA will take credit if the economy turns around in the next 5 years and that will benefit them at the polls. If it gets worse , the converse is true.

In a perfect and fully practiced GNU , ALL elected Political Parties enter into a Power -sharing-- arrangements of the Executive proportionate to their elected vote percentage...and this must include all ,not a coalition of few parties.

The best GNU Can only be achieved when the power for executive positions is eliminated..
THE PROBLEM
Here surfaces the issue of Coalition government, or coalition cabinet, is a government where political parties enter a power-sharing arrangement of the executive. This is one of the reasons complete transformation from majoritarian to GNU fails..

Let All parties be represented in the Executive by their ELECTED Vote percentage. All parties should forward their desired candidature (equaling their percentage in parliament)to the Consulting Council which is represented by all parties.
Secondly and Lastly..
The best medicine to eliminate the hunger for Political Parties power struggle of Cabinet positions is to allow for All Executive positions to be applied for and Vetted by Parliament...No MP 's appointment to Executive possitions...All other inportant positions like of intelligence..police. defence...judiciary..let them be decided for by Parliament...not President..his duty just be to execute what the parliament pass as wholly debated laws and policies that are monitored by parliamet..
