it doesn 't get any better than a Bob Mintzer chart played by the best to make sense of these sophisticated changes and keep swinging. wow. Phil Markowitz solo amazing as always almost as good as on my foolish heart by same band. The ensemble blend of each section and together on attacks and dynamics is breathtaking. Bravo.
YEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!! I've been looking for this for months! I LOVE this song, and my Jazz Band is playing this. Bass Bone is great in this, I'm taking it down an octave too.
The bass player is absolutely one of the best. Rufus teaches as well as he plays, and he is a very nice guy. He has a sound like few others, and he listens to everything around him when he plays, responding so quickly with just the right stuff.
What a nice thing . Thanks for sharing your upload with us . Bands are far too few to be critical about them at all. It is hard to go into a place and have a beer and dig a big band anymore. This band is so rich and well populated by fine musicians. What can one do but snap your fingers and smile .
@rockin3b I'd like to hear you swing... Every comment you've placed is negative, that everything could be better... Let's hear you play, so everyone knows how it should be done.
Without comments. Bob is GENIUS! We are listening The Future Music!

It sure is, watch Bob smiling at the end of Phils piano solo
The drummer's delicate touch during the solos is just so right.
The bass player is absolutely one of the best. Awesome!

I really love that theme!

Great tasty solo from Keith O'Quinn on Trombone !!
a real pearl.
Masterful comping from John Riley here
This song has one of the nicest head sections I've ever come across.
Indeed...it's gorgeous!!
Great piano solo by Phil M.
Rufus is just the man. Hands down.
He certainly is, watch him following Phil on his piano solo.

@rockin3b: You must have no heart if you fail to feel the magic in this...
"too White"? How about "too musical". This whole album is a gem, me thinks.
