@@thomp9054 I don't think so. He and Ryan are accomplished musicians who have been friends since highschool. Ryan toured with Ben Folds and Jack had some really cool solo stuff. It's on RUclips. Check out Dead wax, they flex their musical knowledge there. I'm not sure, but I think Larry Goldings may be a musical genius and he is really the center of the band. Those three created it and the others have come in on their success and made it even better. I hope they make a billion dollars but they seem like they would just give it away. Their main purpose with scary pockets has always been to get exposure for the singers and other musicians. They seem to be really selfless people, in my opinion. Could be wrong.
@@dalejones4322 I am aware and agree with most of that but in my opinion Jack is really more of a hobbyist who's surrounded himself with great players Not trying to troll or take away from the high quality of music
@@thomp9054 maybe. I would guess that music is his main focus. He is in three bands and has another channel devoted to music. We do agree that it's good stuff though
That's a really impressive live version of a really impressive original that I listen to a fair bit. @jackconte @ryanlerman geez, what a band! Living the dream, playing in the pockets:-)
I would love to hear what these guys think of "Season of thwitch"Steve Stills/AllKooper/ Mick Bloomfield...Those Stills 'chops, " Hamond Organ, "Muscle shoals" sounding Horn section...Was very, and still am into what Steve Stills gets up to.
Ha, and that's why you were in Paris. I don't give an F#minor when you play in LA, but please, tell us when you go to France, or Europe. You have quite a few fans over here!
See us LIVE with David Ryan Harris & John Scofield, November 16 at Echoplex in Los Angeles! Tickets: www.ticketmaster.com/event/09005D46CBA957C0
time for a tour in Australia??
MonoNeon is so good!
And that’s just his outfit!
He really is.
dude. it's such a damn masterclass watching him just hold it down. SO SOLID and so inventive!
And…so fucking strange!!! Looks like he just came back from the Artic!!!!!
He’s the best
The Scary Goldings project is a brilliant piece of musical history and I'm so glad that new classics are still being made!
He doing his thang on that organ! 🔥 🔥
JOHN SCOFIELD, BABY!
This has a real Medeski, Martin and Wood feel. Early years. Great to see and hear John Scofield playing with you. Awesome!
Yeah! Check that entry at 2:53 - super tasty.
Yes, I hear that too. Great playing all 'round!
Had the same thought!
Impressive playing by Mononeon. Perfect timing and perfect ears. Very creative and tremendous sense of anticipation.😎
As always, Lemar has it. Listen to that beat all way through. And the drums well up in the mix as well.
John Scofield settles all disputes and lifts the crowd up!
I was there at this precise concert and it was crazy. Every time Sco started a solo the crowd went wild. Fun times
Every part is awesome, but the drummer is the hero on this one. Snare / hi hat / ride / bass drum - but so much more!
Less is more!
Love that bass groove!👍👌
I love pockets with organ SO MUCH!! MonoNeons tight groove doesn't hurt either
This just is.... one of the best bands... ever put together.
Scofield is a legend. Awesome!
Very Herbie Hancock, but then John Scofield adds the soul... Really sweet!
This is the wildest I have seen the drummer play.. He is always so cool. Shows there's much more in the tank..
That groove was nasty..🔥🔥🔥
I really, really hope you come over to Europe soon. Love from Germany
Quando suonicchiavo le
Musiche in libertà
Era la fine del mondo !
E qui e musica libertà.
More, please. Much more. Really digging this!
You could only fit Scofield in an outdoor stadium. Man’s living greatness.
Sin palabras!😊❤🎉
I want to party with these cats! Jack is so hyped!!
Jesus Christ!! Musical Genius!!
Yes, all over the place.
That was beautiful.
such a vibe!!
great.., remembering me to the groove of "freedom jazz dance", thanks so much to the band..
So deep in the pocket it ain't ever coming out!
Great! Same thing I played in 1968 with Bobby Lyle. Check him out on Hammond. This groove will be on this planet forever!!
Glad to see scary Goldings growing and getting bigger exposure. Thanks for the video
They definitely kill it
but dudes the CEO of Patreon
He just buys whatever exposure
just like he bought his band mates and the whole tour really lol

Super cool & groovy!
This is like the "good old days" of Jazz, when musicians would jam out for hours, but for funk...what an experience🤯

Ryan's got the look of someone that has never gone to bed before 3AM
Mortal
Does anyone know what that swelling tone is that cuts off suddenly? Sounds like a runaway analog delay but I'm not sure.
the the not john scofield guitar player, playing his pedals to make some of those noises?
Will there ever be a replacement?
Y'all got anymore songs of that concert? ( insert dave chappelle Meme)
Great track Y'all, but LARRY is killin
((groove level 2 unlocked))
Need a horn section.
2:53 HOT!!!!
Do a cover of boys and girls by blur
Like like banjos and fiddles a little organ goes a long way.
Where have I put my sock? 🤔
