My son passed away in August, he was 31 years old, from ALS. He was an air force veteran who went to Afghanistan twice. I miss him so much. I love you Adam and look forward to seeing you again!!
That's a shame about your son's loss and only 31... sorry he had that awful disease .
Linda Hinojosa So sorry for your loss 🙏 we are all connected and he is with you ❤️
God bless and keep you, Linda. Your son, and others like him, are the real heroes who should be remembered.
R.I.P.! Thank you for your son and his service to the country!

My hero...my Daddy passed on December 21st, 2019 from Ahlzheimers. He wasnt a celebrity or a king, but his name was Ernest Terrazas and I couldnt be prouder to call him my Dad. RIP Daddy💙
I lost both of my parents in 1993 to a horrible car accident. My dad was 54 and mom was 42. As this New year came, I miss them so much more. God Bless you Esther and stay strong. I really know the pain you are feeling. I sincerely do.
But as my dad used to preach in his sermons (he was a pastor ) He would always say "It's not saying goodbye. Just see you later for a little while" Starting to cry here but those words of wisdom keep me going each and every day. I wanted to pass that on to you.
@@scottcupp8129 thankyou..so sorry for your loss.
But he was a great man in your life and that is what counts.
A beautiful tribute to a loving and much missed Dad. His soul is at peace.
I would like to add my Dear Mother to the list of beautiful people who passed away in 2019. Her name was Maryann Gonzalez. She was 91. Rest In Peace Mom 💐🕯
RIP MISS MARYANN.. YOU ARE IRREPLACEABLE .
Maryann Williams Rest In Peace to your beautiful mother. She's singing with the angels! 🙏🏼🥰
How beautiful, may she rest in peace
May she RIP and my sincere condolences to you and your family ❤️
So sorry for your loss. 💕
To all who lost someone in 2019 just remember 'it's not goodbye . . . it's see ya later' 💗
Nope
No. This is all there is. (Sorry). Enjoy it now.
Yes, it really is see ya later! There is so much more.........
No, it’s not.
When you’re on a list like this you’re probably not a part of being ‘in peace’ after your death.
It’s just the odds.
Eternal life IS OFFERED to those who accept Jesus Christ as Savior. I'm saying this without apology.
To all those who have passed away in this decade, including my dear and late Grandmother, I'll forever miss you all and I'll forever say Hail and Farewell, along with saying Thank you for the Memories.
To all my family members, I miss you all. To those who passed this year, may you rest in peace!
@Jim McCracken You are rude.
Chris Finch I also miss your grandmother. she was goood...
Jim McCracken Hey dude everyone on youtube loves his grandmother. we all have treasured memories of her in that nevada brothel
Mom and Cheryl, till I see you again.
Ah, I lost my father this year. This segment became extra special to me now. He was as loved as anyone can be among his family and friends.. Miss you dad.

LOVE YOU DADDY!

E Kop I lost my Papa Joe on April 1st! Greatest man I’ve ever known! Sorry for your loss! Dads are sooo precious!
I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my mother and sister in April of this year, too. No matter how old our loved ones may be, it's always too soon. Take care.

Marilyn Ray Hey Marilyn how are you doing😊
That was a very nice tribute!!! I'm 49, it reminds me that life is short and you have to make the most of it.
You are half an century old.
Same age. It's weird, ain't it.
Never stay still while you're still breathing, seems to be the way to live longer.
You are absolutely correct. I'm 77 and starting a new internet business.
God Bless everyone who has lost their loved ones 😪

indeed; or, as an aged friend of mine says, "If I'm going to be a target for death I intend to be a moving target." he is 87 and amazing.
I agree. I turned 60 two weeks ago. Today I rode 10 miles on my bicycle.
To all the good actors, singer, writers, etc. who died this year, We will never forget you.
Who?
Isaac Martinez Chavez I'll forget them . Especially Carol Channing . What a ham .
Publish, produce, create.
That's the way we achieve mortal immortality.
If you have it in you...put it out there!
I don't know if this is morbid or not but I look forward to this segment every year. To me it showcases individuals who dared to dream and worked to achieve their dream. It reminds us that life is finite and we should do our best each and every day.

*I always look forward to it too because they*
*do such a great job of their tributes.*
I can't believe they left drummer Hal Blaine out of the musicians. He was the founder of the Wrecking Crew, the most recorded musician in history and received a Life Time Achievement grammy this year not long before he died at age 90.
"May he rest forever on 2 and 4"
I'm sure it wasn't on purpose. :-(
It is important that you included him!
Ginger baker
@Carl Clarke I have multiple copies of the DVD and give copies away to educate people on The Wrecking Crew. There is a great Facebook page on them. To put Ginger Baker in instead of Hal shows they are only about names not substance.
So many from my childhood passed this year. CBS always does a great job on this tribute.
I am with you, Beverly, from this Beverly...
Beverly Straus we have the best name 😊
I wish they would breakaway from the half lies news.
Hey Beverly how are you doing😊
Thomas Perry Hanks I’m good thank u 😊
I lost my father about a year ago and I miss him dearly. He was my inspiration to better myself and just be a wonderful father/husband
I miss you dad and I will see you when I get to heaven.
I sure feel sorry for the people who pass away on the last three days of the year who will never get the recognition they deserve.
I agree! I've always been a fan of Edward Herrmann. He died on New Year's Eve a number of years ago. I was always bummed that he didn't get the tribute that he deserved.
It gets serious when people you remember well from your childhood start leaving. We will all eventually go.
Octavio Lopez Sr. So true. I remember when my mother’s favorite stars began fading away, it was sad. Now it’s happening to me. 🥴
To my Aunt Alice Lacks at 104 years old, may she rest peacefully with her parents and siblings.
OMG!!!
IS YOU RELATED TO HINREATTAE LACKS?
My mom and dad loved the Carol Burnett show! I was to young to appreciate it at the time. As I grew older it was magic. Especially between Tim Conway and Harvey Corman. The people on the show were the OG of comedy. Tim, by far made me laugh the hardest. ‘Thanks for the memories’ 🎼🤣😘
I remember my Dad. D.R. Jones Sgt. USMC
Hero of the Chosen. And my hero.
And we lost the greatest man of all my Grandfather.
My family and I lost my grandfather too.
We lost so many great and talented people. My Mother too, she was 101 yrs. old ,I'll miss her too.
I lost my best friend August 24, 2019. I miss her every day. She was 56 years old. They did a very nice job on the dedication to these people. Very nicely done.
Mary C I’m sorry for your loss. Know that you have a personal guardian angel. When we die we just change form. Every time you think of your loved ones that have crossed over. They connect with you... they see and hear all that you wish they could experience. Even with animals as well.
I’m a medium and have had some tough experiences greeting pets that are no longer in this earthly physical realm. Dogs cats and even birds. The tough part is having others think bad of me, because of the experiences. I’ve been called horrible names and treated badly. Sad but those that don’t have eyes to see or the mind to understand cannot, especially in those initial moments.
I lost my mom in 2008. She was a rough tough mom. Hard life with her. But she was my best friend. And I truly loved her. Took me 3 years not to cry every day.
Not a day passes that she isn’t on my mind. A song an experience reminds me of her. Something someone will say or do. Christmas is tough. I actually finished the tree this year without crying. Yet as soon as I heard I’ll be home for Christmas. That’s all she wrote- cried like Niagara Falls...
I treasure the good of her. And learn and hold onto the rough patches as reminders not to walk her path. Even in bad situations one can learn allot from others experiences. My my. 😉
I send you blessings and lots of love for the New Year.
May blessings always be at your feet and always be given by your hands. 🖖🏻☺️💜
MzClementine thank you. I’m sorry about your mom. I’m sure she misses you too. I lost my father in my arms to pancreatic cancer. I believe there is another side. The day before my father passed he saw something standing in front of him by his bed. He said who are you what do you want? There was nobody in the room but me. He told them he wasn’t ready to go. So I know that that was somebody telling him that it was time for him to go. May God be with you.May he shower you with blessings.
MzClementine I lost my father in 2007.
Mary C my condolences. I lost my daddy Oct 2 and my baby cousin took her life 3 weeks later. She was 46. My daddy just shy of 84. I understand losing best friends. I lost 5 in 2012 including my mother. Take each day and never forget your love and memories. I’m 56 this month and I pray for happiness and health for you in 2020.
Pam Nichols thank you. I’m so sorry about your family as well. It just really stinks to lose somebody that you love so much.
RIP Marie Fredriksson from Roxette. You will never be forgotten! ♥
@Jim McCracken Yes, it did... too bad, she was an amazing artist and human being!

Minnie Mouse and Big Bird have passed. My childhood is fading fast. 🙁

Carroll Spinney's death hit me hard. Even though I liked Elmo and Grover more than Big Bird, Carroll was the last of the original Muppeteers who worked on the original first season of Sesame Street who started with Jim Henson.

These people are so immortal it’s hard to believe they are gone.
I liked this segment years ago when they covered folks who weren't just entertainers and politicians, like the chap who invented the blender, etc.
Well most of the inventions we use today have been around for so long, that all the people who invented them died a long time ago. There really hasn't been any new innovative inventions in quite some time. Just advancements and improvements on already existing inventions.
6:28 they mentioned the guy who invented paint by numbers.
They still do that; it's in the weekly segments.
The smartest man I ever knew was Jerry Merryman. He was a co-inventor of the hand-held calculator and a good friend and mentor. He passed away in February.
