That first black SUV was a Kia Sportage btw, not a Seltos… That may be partially why you can’t find them easy, you don’t know what they stole or what you’re selling!
This is why we can't have nice things. Ruining it for everyone... It creates a stereotype if I, a Black person, comes on the lot to shop for a vehicle and want a test drive. How will I be received? Remembering those days of going to the store and seeing a sign "Only Two Kids Allowed At A Time" on the door. Or being greeted by an armed security guard when patronizing a local store. Innocence lost...
Straight up. I’m calm and cool. I live in Chicago. The way they drive. When I was younger I guess I did the same. Lord it’s different when you have a better car. I still know how to drive. It’s just everyone else’s sht that makes me nervous
Since this is 90% black kids doing this, there is going to be a negative result for all black people. I don’t see black people self-policing and shutting this down in their own neighborhoods and families. There is an us vs them mentality that justifies this behavior in some way.
You gotta understand that those kids committed a crime. I can tell ur young and stupid just by ur profile pic and name. Wise up kid. You follow in these dumb ass kids footsteps and u gonna be in jail with them
How are these dealers or their workers not watching the keys or putting it in a secure place? They have better security at McDonald's. The reporter kept mentioning the keys being on desks. Anybody can tell you it's not safe.
because they dont use keys. kias made from 2000 to 2021 have this dumbass key system where if someone pulls out the enitre key inserting column in the car they can literally use a USB to switch the car on. you can look it up on the internet. a youtuber called Tommy G made a nice documentery about it.
bro who knows maybe its right off the trailer maybe gets a tracker if it even gets financed to begin with. because some people pay in full i dont want a tracker in my car if i paid in full
Dealerships are wide open to this. I work in one and it is not unusual for the service dept to open up before 7, after that anyone can walk in and out of the building and there are no sales staff showing up until at least 8 AM. So the only employees there are out in the service area while people can go in and walk around the customer lounge & showroom area where it is pretty common that keys are left laying right out in the open on the sales counter or inside unlocked desk drawers. Just yesterday I went to another dealership that my employer owns and I told them I was there to pick up a specific car that we were taking on a dealer trade, they were like. "oh. so and so is gone for the day but the keys and paperwork are in a packet laying on his desk over there" and that was for a brand new Nissan Armada, probably one of the most expensive cars on their lot. It amazes me that this does not happen more often considering how lax dealerships are with security.
I used to go to dealerships on Sunday just to look at cars without having to deal with salesman. I have literally found keys just sitting in cars on the lot more than once. One time I pressed the start button thinking nothing would happen but it started right up… surprise of my life. Lol
My Kia got stolen from a school parking lot in broad daylight at 2:08. We have a camera, but the perputrators are very grainy. It was so wierd seeinging them drive off thelot with my care. I find myself angry, why can't he ge his own car!
If it's such problem bolt keypad box to wall and put absolutely every dealership car key which is in some sort of processing and not in authorized person's pocket or anything similar there, i mean how many cars they sale or showing simultaneously?
Supposedly one of the kids, a thirteen year old was suspended from the middle school he crashed in front of for stealing another car. Perhaps the suspension is why he stole again. How about in school suspension? And if he stole another car, why wasn’t he in juvie for the first theft? Answer me!
Lol stfu. Gen z is one of the pussiest generations there ever was. Ppl been stealing cars before u was even thought of and tryna glorify this shit just makes u look stupid. That’s why yo dumb ass gonna fuck up and spend ur life in prison

Need to learn the lesson here in Milwaukee we're learing: Kias/Hyundais are vulnerable to easy theft.
This is why we can't have nice things.
