Haha thank you. I made at least 2 mistakes but was still barely in range for a boomerang throw. If i played it perfectly then I probably would not have needed to rely on a snipe. But the mistakes made it more hype!!

Hey Shortcat. I love the videos! I had a quick question, why don't you trick on gliders? Is it faster? My name is Shortfrog and I have been playing Mario kart seriously for 5 months. I am at 10,500 VR and gaining 200 to 400 VR each day. I don't play a ton of races every day because Nintendo makes me verse 20,000 to 30,000 VR players. So I gain a lot very quickly. I may not be the biggest challenge, but I think I could get 1 win unlike longcat. Also, thank you for all the tips and tricks. They have helped me a lot. Because of your shorts, I can land the gap cut about 80% of the time and I just started practicing last night. Ever since I started playing I have always wanted to at least try to beat you in one race.

Hey, I thought I'd let you know that, thanks to you showing off so many shortcuts in your videos, I've now started taking them ever since playing again (after recovering from being sick and binging your videos). I've never actually used videos to figure out the lines before, but somehow watching you made it so that I nailed all the shortcuts on DK Mountain and Mute City on my first tries (including that one over the rocks!), although I didn't do too well on regular paths... for some reason.
I also had a terrifying moment online with that shortcut in Rainbow Road (8 version) near the end where you jumped between splitting paths. I was playing Worldwide and had no intention of actually doing it until my brain had the following thought process.
"Wait, go this way, it's the path Shortcat took."
"No! I haven't even tested that offline and it... wait it worked?!"
"Hell yeah, let's go for the next part!"
"What, no! Don't push... I did it, what the hell? How?!"

You have no idea how much it healed my soul when you said this 13:54 I get so salty about how luck-based that track is, half the time I just get combo'd the entire race
What you could do is use some elo rating calculations to figure out your win-probability based on your opponents average vr and accurately calculate your "skill vr" but I guess this works too lol.
Can I just say I'm tired of hearing "Shortcat is J Perm"? I did my own research and aside from them sounding similar it's all speculation. And even if, hypothetically, he did run both channels, the lack of concrete proof means he's probably intentionally keeping his channels separate. The reasons for why he might are not our business. You're not solving anything by commenting over on this channel telling him to upload to his other one. All you're doing is annoying him and other commenters who are just trying to enjoy this channel's videos.

i mean there's more than just speculation, they're both canadan, jperm made a mkwii video and comentated the same during it, and obviously sound the same. personally i believe it, and it's nice to think that they're the same person since i really admire jperm, but i'm fine with people disagreeing
