- "There is no reason for these prominent icons in the civil rights movement to be here," the attorney said to the judge on Nov. 15, 2021.
Ahmaud Arbery was shot and killed on Feb. 23, 2020. Cellphone video leaked to the public shows two armed white men in a truck approaching the 25-year-old Black man as he runs down the road. One of the men, later identified as Travis McMichael, and Arbery struggle over McMichael's shotgun before Arbery is shot and collapses.
Travis McMichael, his father Gregory McMichael and William "Roddy" Bryan, who recorded the video, are all charged with murder in Arbery's death.

For a not guilty verdict to be found, the jury has to be unanimous, meaning that one black juror could hold up the entire verdict. That's just to say it COULD have an effect. That being said, this lawyer is a fuckin idiot and if he was any good at his job, or had a defensible case, hed be able to convince that juror just as well as any other that his client is innocent, frankly I'm a white conservative and I'm not convinced by his defense either, between that and what I've seen via the evidence, this is very different from the rittenhouse trial. That was self defense, this was a hunt in the streets

This defense attorney is grasping at straws cuz he has no case. So concerned about their client having a fair trial but where was Ahmaud's fair trial? He was executed and they assumed the worst of him. Even if he did steal anything he didn't deserve death. There are many people who did heinous crimes and didn't get killed.
The alternative is, that the defense was not prepared. Thought he’d strike all of the black jurors, then it would be a wrap.
