I imagine the orange and green minifigs blended into the color schemes of the sets too much so they changed it to blue to make the minifigs stick out a bit more.
Strangely enough, I agree. I don't think the orange + green minifigs would've looked too good, although the blue is a little odd, perhaps a dark blue would've worked a little better as to not compete against the vibrant orange and lime.
Rock Raiders & Power Miners could be such a cool where they are competing to stop the rock monster elemental creatures. Have different biomes which have certain elements and or gems or minerals which would be themed around the rock monsters using the powers and the two teams learning how to build machines that would use the powers of the elemental cores.
Power Miners is one of my favourite themes. I bought all the sets when they came out.....2 of my little rock/lava monsters, a hinge on the head piece broke, so we have to be careful with them. Unfortunately, I don't have any Rock Raiders.
I owned most of wave 1, and I preferred the sets to the concepts, except for the rock monster King he was too cartoony for my tastes, he could have been more monstrous
I have only one Rock Raiders set, the walker with the crome drill. I have seen a video on youtube of the biggest Rock Raiders/Power Miners collection. There are some very valueable minifigures of these series.
Awesome video, as always. When this theme came out I was not very interested in it and only got some of the small sets. But to see the concept art and models is always interesting. Great video.
I think I may have seen an image of a toy show with a set that said "Mine mech 2.0" on the sign but I can't find the image. From what I remember, the set mostly looked like the original mine mech but with different weapons. This may have been a false memory but I'm not sure.
Beside bionicle and ninjago, power miners was my absolute favorite. Love this video you made! Hope to see some more of power miners one day or Atleast a different variation
I’d love to see more original action themes in general! Lego returning to the underground concept would be fun… maybe Ninjago could do it as one of its sub themes haha
Man they brought out those Lego City action bikes and there was one with a power Miners colored helmet that I can't help but think it was taking inspiration (it literally has green base color and orange hazard lines)
When i saw for the first time Power miners i just fall in love with the theme, it look really amazing but it was kinda sad that Lego acctualy Cancelled it, would love to see more sets from that theme.
Based on how well this one’s doing, I’ll probably be refactoring the schedule to make it at least a bi-weekly series and breaking up the recordings we do have into individual themes
Power miners is my favorite theme. I only own one of the sets, but I still want Lego to bring this theme back in some way, even though it’s probably impossible and will never happen.
I became a big fan of the Rock Raiders theme way back when I played the computer game despite not owning any of the sets. Naturally I also became a fan of Power Miners, one of my favourite themes. Really wish they continued the line for longer, although the second wave wasn't very good in my opinion. Nice to see an old theme being looked at! On another related note, since you might know, are any of the stickers on your Power Miners peeling or flaking? Some of the stickers from my Power Miners and Mars Mission sets are cracking and turning into little flakes, crumbling when touched.
Are you in a high/low temperature area or have you left your sets exposed to sunlight? I am interested. I have no problem with mines (pun not intended), sets have been disassembled but parts with stickers stored and used for mocs since.
@@satellachannel6423 No direct exposure to sunlight (but there is a window nearby, although mostly blinded to keep the room dim), relatively dry, and occasional summer heat. A cool dry basement is probably the best, but I do not have access to one. I want to specify that all of the green stickers on my Power Miners are fine, it's only the white stickers, mostly on Mars Mission, and red stickers on my Ferrari sets that have crumbled. All the clear stickers on sets like Exo Force are fine. Strangely enough, none of the Atlantis from around the same era have been affected. I believe it's an issue of sunlight and temperature plus the material used for those stickers, but I haven't yet seen this happen to other people so can't be sure. Sadly have to store all my newer sets in drawers now to prevent weathering.
@@pewpewdragon4483 Ok, that's strange. That's too bad :( I have the same conditions. Never heard anyone having those problems with these particular sets. Probably the temperature, but it might be a production issue too, more or less of some chemical in the glue and the stickers are condemned from the start.
@@satellachannel6423 Yeah really sucks when the design relies heavily on the stickers, particularly sad that the Ferrari sets used stickers for the minifigures, so much for collectable :\
Oh man, sorry to hear that about your stickers. I know there’s a known issue with stickers from the 05-07 era of sets, but have never had that issue with stuff like Power Miners that released in 09 yet.
6:29 this one will be the Oth Vehicle, I SHOULD BUILD THIS. I will named it as "Atlas", the 0th Mining Vehicle, I don’t care about the Atlantis set, I’m more liker to start building a set I wanted to make one for myself nor anyone CAN. And the Crystal Sweeper prototypes makes me want to build those, I’m more of Tank type instead.
This was legos renecianse: power miners, mars mission, pirates reboot, galaxy squad, alien conquest, atlantis, phators quest. 2024 new space might signal another
What’s interesting is this came out around the same time Ninjago and yet it didn’t last as long. I guess the ninja theme was just more popular than power miners
I think the characters designs are fun the finale was the better one but I like the classic rock rader I think the should have made even one minifigure that had that rock rader design
I love space police that’s so cool. But power miners was and is my favorite series for sure. I have all of them except the little minifigure bag and number 11 which was some limited edition set. I do love the mini figures we got though might even get a key chain of it maybe if I can find some. I know they had a watch. I didn’t know the drill and wheels were molded specifically for this series but that’s pretty cool since I do love them as well. I do think the transforming vehicle would be cool but I’m glad it wasn’t there as it felt like a little too much but the vehicle form would have been cool as Power miners had very little dump trucks for a mining operation. Spoilers but This series is also canon to Lego lore as it shows up in The adventures of clutch powers and clutch powers shows up in ninjago which is great and made me super happy. I think why this series eventually was canned because this is kinda soemthing you didn’t want to buy more of unless you wanted to to build the mix sets that Lego does a lot which is soooo coool. Also there’s no tv show like ninjago but it’s understandable
Like 👍 all three of the versions of power miners ❤ and the the video as a hole. Hope to get the lego I don't have yet ect.which is most I might add.😢😅😊😮🎉❤
i did missed LEGO Power Miners theme there's 1 theme I missed was an theme which is SpongeBob SquarePants there till dumb Mega Bloks took the SpongeBob theme from LEGO
I’d like to give em the benefit of the doubt, maybe I was just too old, not meant for me, but those Power Miners look butt ugly to me and could never hold a candle to my precious Rock Raiders.
I imagine the orange and green minifigs blended into the color schemes of the sets too much so they changed it to blue to make the minifigs stick out a bit more.
Lego had so many cool themes, it just kinda stucks that they are straying away from them in favor of licensed products
Yeah, while I do love weird licensed stuff, I’m a sucker for in-house themes and wish they did more than just 2-3 action/adventure themes at once
@@DuckBricks me to dude
Classic Lego themes will come back man don’t worry
Unfortunately the licensed themes make more money than originals.
@@Chris-iq5pr, It would be nice to not havta pay for the stupid licensing, and to have stuff that isn't Ninjago.
This series was S tier, brings back so many fond memories
S+

8:14 That Agents bike was my favorite set when I was little! Interesting to learn it originally was designed for a completely different theme.
Power Miners was the best lego theme, hands down
Power Miners is one of my favourite themes. I bought all the sets when they came out.....2 of my little rock/lava monsters, a hinge on the head piece broke, so we have to be careful with them. Unfortunately, I don't have any Rock Raiders.
Nice! Power Miners is a great theme
Really interesting!
Wow, it is very cool to see a veteran of the LEGO RUclips community comment on this video!
Incredible thanks for sharing
13:50 I have a feeling this concept was reworked into the enemy creatures we would see in Nexo Knights, especially in the BigFigs.
I owned most of wave 1, and I preferred the sets to the concepts, except for the rock monster King he was too cartoony for my tastes, he could have been more monstrous
I can totally see that, especially with the concept art in the video it had a ton of promise
Holy. This is cool and came at a great time too. I just rebuilt all my old wave 1 power miners sets.
Nice! Perfect timing!
By far the best theme, i still really want so many sets from power miners that i never got as a kid
I have only one Rock Raiders set, the walker with the crome drill. I have seen a video on youtube of the biggest Rock Raiders/Power Miners collection. There are some very valueable minifigures of these series.
Nice! I own all the Rock Raiders sets except for the Chief minifigure, which is insanely expensive on BL
Awesome video, as always. When this theme came out I was not very interested in it and only got some of the small sets. But to see the concept art and models is always interesting. Great video.
Glad you enjoyed! Thanks!
i remember when i was young and had the crystal sweeper, all my friends who had it and myself all said that the sweeping mechanic did not work.

Oh no the power miner fandom is actually dying.
Yeah it’s sad. I remember the PC game too, it was a classic as a child.
Bro this channel is criminally underrated 😤
Spread the word!!
Man they brought out those Lego City action bikes and there was one with a power Miners colored helmet that I can't help but think it was taking inspiration (it literally has green base color and orange hazard lines)
Thank you for making this video! I love the power miners line. I just subbed!
great content!
keep doing power miners stuff!
My all time favorite lego theme I would be stupid if they ever brought a theme like this back😢
Power miners and Atlantis were easily the best themes. Hope they bring them back
Out of all lego sets I got when I was growing up.
Was ice planet, space, and of course rock raiders.
Nice!! Those are some classic themes
I had some kind of interest in the theme which left me.
As a kid I loved this theme, was my favourite. Now though, I kind of love Atlantis a little more.
i have all of them. like all the polybags etc and im still wondering why they left out the nr 13 vehicle
If I didn't spend so much on Bionicle and the occasional Lego Star Wars set, I would've loved to have more than the one small set I own.
I love getting these sets when i was little 💙💙
Fun Fact: Brains, the Power Miner scientist, appeared in Atlantis also as a scientist meaning Power Miners and Atlantis are in the same universe.
Probably favorite Lego theme
Awesome!
When i saw for the first time Power miners i just fall in love with the theme, it look really amazing but it was kinda sad that Lego acctualy Cancelled it, would love to see more sets from that theme.
Long have I waited.... Those prototype videos should come out more frequently IMO, so people should get more used to seeing them.
Based on how well this one’s doing, I’ll probably be refactoring the schedule to make it at least a bi-weekly series and breaking up the recordings we do have into individual themes
My favourite theme.
Awesome!
Could you do a video like this about Mars mission?
We have gotten translucent Body’s and legs I can’t remember what sets but I remember Lego did produce some for the ninjago theme.
Yes, they’ve done a ton of arms and legs for Ninjago, Chima, and even Star Wars/Pirates of the Caribbean and more, but never a fully transparent torso
Nice
I did a review on the crystal sweeper and there’s one flaw on it that found with it and it’s not what you think
