If Stevie had restricted himself to Dragonforce bass lines, we wouldn't have classic tracks like this: a true artist.
I remember those, they were popular in the late 80's early 90's. The problem back then was that the analog to digital converters wasn't fast enough. I assume that isn't a problem anymore.
yeah, i remember the guitarist for our band had a roland branded guitar midi controller that attached to a real guitar. it was an analog to digital pickup with a large foot switch pedal board with all the sounds. but when ever we tried to use it, the guitar had to be perfectly tuned and it seemed like it was a split millisecond behind.......i believe it was a gr-1
@ i just looked at some pics of the vg-99, it was def. a gr-1 with a gk-2 pickup i believe. it had a 3 way switch on the pickup for midi/mix/guitar and a midi vol. knob. it was a fun thing to mess around with. we used it on a homemade 4 track recording we made. Used it for a horn section since we were a ska/punk band without horn players lol
I have 4 types of midi guitar now, including the much underrated Casio PG380 (which responds better than the GKs of the 80's). So I became an "early bird backer" of the Jammy when it originally was going to have a sliding 5-fret neck. The design changed because people didn't love the prototype. Now that I have had mine, and seen how well the team has responded to users with very useful updates (the first of which added access to tweaking response per string), I am not really as interested in my other guitars for travel at all. It plays way better than the Jamstik, and as much as I enjoy freaking people out with the YouRock Guitars, they are more of a gimmick shaped like a guitar anyway.
Glad to see the interest growing, and I hope more people get behind these guys. A ton of work went into their Kickstarter idea and their post sale involvement is amazing.
