  • I take apart a Bose SoundDock, which is Bose's version of the iPod device docks that were popular in the 2000s. It was designed to play music from an iPod at high volume in a small form-factor suitable for a shelf or bedstand.

I speculate that you would not have been able to take it apart without Scooter's timely help on his day off. I hope you compensated him well for his support.

I bought one in Jan 2008, still works amazing! I bought a Bluetooth adaptor for it

Cool! I didn't realize that Bluetooth adapters were available for such things. Good idea.

Did the same, one from AliExpress. Hope it works, I have read many bad reviews on them but what can you expect for 5 bucks.

Precious cat. Cool video. Thanks!!! Do you think the only active and important thing for recycle are the 2 speakers true?. Thanks!!

Thanks! I think the little stereo amp inside has some reuse potential, but I have so many projects waiting that it might just end up in a storage tub for quite a while.

I want to see what you did with it

I haven't done anything with it so far (too many projects...) but I will eventually. Thanks for the encouragement!

Not a sound engineer., remove this video. IR eye is not a tweeter.

I realized that later in the video, and I corrected it. Since I will not be removing the video, you have the option of watching the entire video if you'd like to see that part.
Most of my videos, including this one, are shot live as I take things apart. I sometimes make wrong guesses about what I discover. If you don't enjoy that format, sorry but my channel is not for you.
