We fixed a pond one time that was using 4 old fuel tanks welded together end to end for an overflow. They had welded a big gate on the end of the pipe in the pond to cutoff the overflow. Of course when the pond filled the tanks/pipe floated. So they dug it out , placed it again and poured 96 yards of concrete around it for a seep collar. It still floated the pipe enough to leak and the seeping water cut a gully through the pond dam. When we got the call, I couldn't believe what I saw. Like to never got all that concrete busted up. We cut the gate off the pipe and welded it to the end of the pipe outside the pond and it has never leaked again. That job sucked. Love your videos.

Right about at This Point 12:34 I am thinking 🤔 they must have Burried someone under this😱
And by This Point 26:27 I’m thinking, maybe they Burried a Whole Family under this mass of concrete 🤷🏻‍♂️ What they do, put rebar in that piece too.?? I tell ya, 33:31 that was More than One Ten yard ready mix truck worth of concrete, maybe 2 1/2 trucks worth. A total Overkill on this tp be set on top of mud....!!! 😫👎

Roof edges are another bug problem when someone puts on flashing, flashing tape and membrane but don't have the up-roof side under the upper pieces of membrane.

  • @marlondeere3039R

Good one! When pouring concrete on or up to existing concrete your must soak the existing concrete with water first or the old concrete will pull out the water and it will not adhere and it will crack apart every time. Good example of this is the way the pipe came out of the poured so easy. If you wet it first it will be as one piece.

Attach a bag of earth to a G-clamp on the end of the pipe, on a 2 yard length of rope.
Drag the bag along the ground..
It keeps the pipe in the direction of travel, and aids in location when in the trench.
There's nothing worse than pipe, especially polypropelene for flapping about in the breeze.

Is the ditch under the anti seat collar filled with concrete to support the joint in the pipe??

When in doubt, just pour the concrete all about!! Lol That liner in the back of the dump truck has seen its share of concrete and rock. Won't be long and yall will welding in some new steel. Love these videos. I bet you miss that power of the 220 and 250 when you're in the 160. That girl is sure doing work though!

I was wondering why the concrete was giving you so much trouble
Then I realized you were in the 160
I thought at one time you guys were getting rid of that
Goes to show you that just because there's a lot of concrete Around that pipeThat it wasn't going to leak
But when it was done incorrectly don't matter how much concrete you put in there She was still leaking
You guys do some nice work
    Got it done another
    happy customer

Looks like it was a nice overflow, it’s ashamed that it was installed backwards! What a waste brother! If people would just pay attention when doing something, I hope the owners got that one for free! I love these jobs Chris! 👌🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻

It's like the other contractor started out pouring a foundation for a high-rise, then changed their mind and threw some pipes in instead. That was a mess!! Glad we got Chris on the job to set it right! And the pond and the setting is beautiful!

I don't know who worked harder at taking out that concrete, you Chris, or me,.. I caught myself working imaginary controls and ;lifting' as much as I could there on my couch hahaha.
Nice rebuild of the overflow system. Good job!

I do like the compactor, much easier to use than the old Irish motorbike.
Does it compact as well though?
Putting the blade behind you and putting it down on the ground would give you more downward pressure at the compactor

    • @onenuttybuddy

There is no blade on this excavator. However, there is one on the mini.

@@ShalomBrother Ryan, I think I replied to the wrong thread. Someone mentioned something about Chris could have used the blade on the big excavator to do something and I replied to them the big excavator didn't have a blade on it but there was one on the mini. Sorry for the confusion but thanks for the reply. 😉
