    Exceptional work! when newly replanted, the grass will never need fertilizer with the nutrient rich dirt and topsoil removed from the bottom and spread around the new pond edges.

    • @AFHProjects
      @AFHProjects  Год назад +1

      Thanks! It's actually too rich and the grass doesn't want to grow there well, there no minerals. It needs to rot a little and mix with some minerals, it's acidic. Almost like peat. Thanks fo watching!

    • @DH-fo9dx
      @DH-fo9dx Год назад

      @AFHProjects Very true lime, and a little time will break it down, cutting the acidity. Again, it's a beautiful job, and I love the content. There's something magical about pond/lake building and heavy equipment work to me.

      I don't have a bigger bucket. Only the teeth bucket. It's very slightly bigger. It's not really a point to use bigger, then the full bucket is gonna be too heavy.

    Nice work looks 💯 times better. Where does the water come from to feel the pond up?

    • @AFHProjects
      @AFHProjects  Год назад

      Thank you! Just the ground water and rain. In the future, there will be a ditch running in from the bigger ponds. The ditch that I redigged at the end. We will do that after the bigger ponds are transformed as well, because we need to empty those ponds as well, and we don't want that the mud runs into that new one here.

    • @AFHProjects

      @DavidCobb-uc4qr Yeah, it's an option, but I didn't want to dig into that backyard. First, I didn't have permission to lay that mud on the neighbors property, but later, I got it, and there was a nice slope to lay it.
