She is literally a legend, all my friends, both political and non-political mid-20s to early 30s will watch stuff Maxine is in just because she is in it, even if we know nothing else about it! If Maxine is in it, it must be good (and even if it ain't Maxine will be!) Such a a rare talent, coupled with such a genuine, intelligent and thoughtful person. There's no one like her!
Thank you for this wonderful interview - being in Australia, I’ve probably missed many of Maxine’s key television roles, but have absolutely loved her in The Secret Diaries of Anne Lister, Peterloo and the amazing Fanny Deliver’d. It’s wonderful to hear two passionate and intelligent artists talking about their experiences. Ok, so reading that back, it sounds a bit staid and sycophantic, so I guess what I mean is “Great Stuff! Ta!” 😂
