I'm retired and moved to Kona. I live right behind St. Michael's church. Kona is the most beautiful and peaceful place on Earth. I'm never leaving here.

Fish Hopper is my favorite restaurant in Kona! Glad to see they are still open. Was hard to watch this ....so many places closed. Sure hope the businesses and island economy can recover

From Australia - family, friends and I have been there many time. Completely in love and I have to say some of the most Aloha moments we have ever experienced have been there. Sad to see the struggle but we love you and we will be back to help in our little way to help you bounce back.

      Aloha,
I cannot thank you enough for all of your ‘olu’olu (kind) words and support. We are truly blessed to have a country neighbor like Australia with aloha spirit.
“Mahalo Nui” thank you very much 🤙🏼

Will be going to Kona in 20 days. Have never been to the big island. Spent time in Oahu, and mostly Maui. However with recent fires that have happened there we decided to go to the big island as it wouldn’t be right to visit Maui at this time with so many people struggling there. Maui hold a special place in my heart, but I am looking forward to seeing something new and experiencing different adventures. ❤

It is truly very sad 😢 to see this once a very busy spot in town to look like a ghost town. It is slowly recovering but still ways to go...
      Mahalo nui for your comments.

Was there from 10/18-10/24, last time I was there the Fish Hopper was called Oceanview. Stayed at the King Kam when the rate was just under $70.00/night, now I think I paid around $300.00/night with the travel plan I had. October is one of slower and less expensive months to go. The restaurant right across from the King Kam across Palani Rd has excellent steaks and sea food.

Damn we missed so much of the big island. Just recently got back from oahu and I have to say my heart is still at the big island. Idc about the night life. I want to see how the locals live life.

I couldn’t agree with you more, it’s an amazing town, seeing the industry grow the past 25-30 years really made it diverse but hoping to keep it on the minimal and preserve its history.

Love the clear video. Not sure of the 1080p or more but certainly clear. Sad to see our town desimated by political agendas.

      Aloha,
This was taken on mid February, but I was just there again a few weeks back, most are open now, definitely more crowds. I believe they are about 75-80% open along the Alii drive, but the empty shops are still vacant. 😔
Have a great time, and be safe
      Mahalo Nui...🤙🏼

Do you still have to quarantine for two weeks ?

    • @islandbreezetv2549
      @islandbreezetv2549  3 года назад +2

      Aloha, Gov
2 weeks is still required unless you have a pre-test done prior to your arrival. Inter islands travel in Hawaii is exempt unless traveling from the island of “Oahu” to neighboring islands.
      Take care and be safe
      Mahalo Nui 🤙🏼

High paying Jobs with no degree or hook ups from resort Owners who post General management positions over seas are tipping categories..PLEASE COUNT HOW MUCH HAWAIIAN and not Filipino to Micronesian are in these positions working. Go to every restaurant and observe how much over seas workers are in the front of the restaurants?

Looks pretty quiet - what time of the day was this video taken?
Also, what's up with the useless mask wearing outside... Absolutely absurd to think they even work or are needed outside - especially in sunny and warm Hawaii!
PS: The hysterical and pathetic overreaction to Covid-19 is despicable. It's way past time to get back to normal!!!
