Let’s all 1v1 at dunk camp👀
I just joined your Skool!
@@Ace.Hoops1 let’s goooo
Yesss!
I want to go to Dunk Camp too even though I'm 100% getting dunked on 🤣
1v1 tournament with lowered rim at Dunk Camp would be fun af!
Love ur vids they are very helpful. I’ve been training for a year now and have increased my vert from 17 - 25 inches. It still isn’t very high so I want to know what non weighted exercise uses I could do to further increase my vertical significantly. I trained with only plyos for the past year.
The best exercise is always gonna be low rim dunking. But after that you are eventually going to need access to a weight room to unlock your true potential
If you can’t use weights, SL calf raises, squats, and glute bridges along with hamstring curls will build a strong foundation
I would love to see an Austin vs. John 1v1, the loser has to do quasi iso's on general days for 6 months straight 👀
Just Got my first dunk last week at 15, ~4m old 6 ft and 175 lbs. I got it out of like 7 try's after I got a 33 in vert for testing at school. I was like WOW I had no idea I could jump that high. I just lift normally 5 days a week never training my vert. I put it into a dunk calculator and I said I could dunk so I went out and tried and got it.
Hey Isiah !!! I just wanna ask if how do I extend my penultimate step on a 2 foot jump ?? And also , what happens if my Tendons are too elastic but not stiff
what helped me was trying to fully extend my knee and lead your plant foot with your knee instead of having your foot out.
18 years old dropped a weight on my foot then caught my first dunk right after 😂 but I blame the environment me being from nyc nobody jumps at that time I moved to Georgia and everybody was dunking so it was only. Natural
what was johns vert to start off? ig he was young so this question might not matter much.
Hey man would love to get some help to learn to dunk I’m 6ft just dunked it once for the first time yesterday would love to learn to raise my very make it easier
I got my first “dunk” off a lob at 14 and I was like 5’9”.
The age that you have the opportunity to start working on .
My first dunk was at 14 years old. I was 5'5. I could only get it from running behind the hoop in the driveway, then turn in the air and finish left-handed. If I tried to do it head on, I'd clip the pole on my landing every time. I remember a neighbor coming outside I never talked to in my life yelling at me "Holy shit did you dunk that ball?" 😂
Yo Isaiah im 14 yrs old 5'9 and i can pull a 10ft rim but cant dunk, i have a 33-34 inch vert do you think i should start using weights?
When I start jumping with heels, I have knee pain. How can I prevent that?
We need that 1v1 😂😂
Yogurt, Cream Cheese and Bagel, Grapes, Raisin Bran and Special K, and a Humidifier; the first time I jumped up to prove a Dunk... 💌🏀
Ngl i was hoping you guys would show the lizard here in this vid 😂
I like the stake of that 1v1 😏
One thing I've realized over time is that I have incredibly short arms, or incredibly bad flexibility. I am 6'1 on a good day and standing reach is only 7'10". Most guys my height can reach at least 8' so maybe I need to work on standing reach?
yeah same. im 5'8 with a standing reach of just 7'0
I'm 6'2 with 7'10 😭
false 8´ is good 7’10 is normal
im 5.7 thirteen and my standing is 7'6
To the dunkers here - I can two foot jump and grab rim with both hands. How far am I off my dunk? 3 inches? 6 inches?
If u can grab the rim with both hands u should be able to dunk if u use one hand
3:01 🙏🙏🙏
I've been dunking since Playskool so…🤪
I want to buy the 1 on 1 couching, what is included, is it worth it?
buy it its gppd

Should I be dunking. I’m 16 at 5’9 and have a 39 inch vertical and I still can’t dunk😭 is that high enough to be dunking
Well, how high can you touch on the rim. To be able to dunk, you need to hit the bottom of your wrist when jumping as a bare MINIMUM. If you're off two you essentially need to dunk with two hands off two to dunk with one hand off two.
im 5'8 with a 39 inch vert. idk abt you but i can grab ring pretty comfortably, but cant dunk yet. really depends on how long your arms are, but you should be pretty close to dunking
What was your guys vertical before you started training. ( if you know)
Mine was 17, and now it’s 25. Trust me plyos work
@@nflmixtapeprod.4621 ok thanks
If you’re asking them, Isaiah had like a 25” vert from playing basketball, worked it up to 30 by just jumping a lot and then 36, 40, 45, and now 50
Mine was like 20 inches before. Now it’s closer to 32”
@@troliskimosko oh dang good job
I’m 14 6’2 200 pounds and can grab rim ima see my progress in 2 weeks and tell yall if I’m able to dunk or not
Just fyi, you're not going to see progress that quick. You must stay consistent for 2-3 months to be able to see tangible progress. Just wanna let you know so you can mentally gear yourself for that.
@@DavidBergman1776 Alr ty
I was 14 when I put down my first dunk and I was 5-9. You might need to lose some weight cause if that 200 pounds was muscle. You would be dunking already...
Austin loves Seinfeld? Hes now the best dunker at THP
Bro I wanted to see the lizard
Ohhhh thought that said first drunk!
Where's THE LIZARD???? RIOT!!!!!!

It looked crazy ngl
