- Taken on 9/8/18, just as the SEPTA Roadeo was wrapping up. Here we take a journey back to the Howell Garage in Central, NJ beside 3 beautiful New Jersey Transit Buses! (Whom's specs will be posted below) And with that being said, Enjoy!!!
1999 NovaBus RTS-06 T602N #2501
Cummins ISC (8.3L) EPA98
ZF Ecomat 2 5HP-592C
1996 NovaBus RTS-06 T802N #2625
Cummins C8.3 (8.3L) 250HP?
ZF Ecomat 1 5HP-590
1989 Flxible Metro B 40096 Suburban #3057
Detroit Diesel 6V92TA (9.0L) 253HP
Allison VR-731 ATEC
This is why I respect NJT, they good at Preserve 1 or 2 each of their batch order fleets
Every time I see this video I swear the flexible is the best running in the group who ever was driving that bus knew what they were doing.
Damn that Flxible sounds good. WOOOOOOOOOOOOO SHIIIIIIITTT!
Sure does!!
Memories
I didn’t know that was you following us. It’s Howell Garage not Hilton. Hilton is in North Jersey.
Wow lol, well I figured if I couldn't ride it at the time, the second best thing I could do was this. Hope our driving wasn't too nerve-racking lol.
Oh & thanks for the correction. I'm not too good with NJ Transit outside of South jersey.
Awesome video my guy! Ahhhhh the sweet sound music of a Flx powered by Detroit 6V-92 coupled to an Allison 730 transmission. Makes a grown man weep hahaha
Ronnie Cathcart I just want to drive one
VR-731 transmission BTW not V730
COOL VIDEO
My two favorite style buses
The advance style, yes indeed!
How I wish NYC would have given the FLXIBLE a proper try, but the A frame blunder was too costly too justify it. Not a fan of its successor, the GM RTS.
30' RTS 2501 was the pilot unit and a training bus.
Both Novas came to the garage I'm at.
LOL 😎
Guy in the Flx drives like he has no sense at all.
