Travis got lazy. Dude has been living the high life, sleeping in silk pajamas for the past decade. Travis was fantasizing about a win. Sure, he doesn't have much to prove, unless he wants to go by way of Devon Larratt and catch a second prime in the late forties. To do that he's gotta actually want and work for that shit again. It's gotta be in his soul.

Travis will never abandon the absolute weight category imo. I think what he needs to do is move up the rankings in the US first (to at least top 3), get rid of the rust there, and then face a top 10-15 guy from overseas. (Kalina is arguably a top 5 material right now).
P.S. I never understood why he would face such an opponent on the right for the comeback match. Left would make so much more sense, kinda obviously

First of all yes Travis was good right handed to some degree even at some point but it wasn't his best hand. Travis best arm or hand was left that was his strongest arm it's where he was the number 1 at. He was number 1 on the left hand 2nd of all he just got back lol and he faces a formadible level and your saying outside the straps lol. Usually when we another arm wrestler is worried about the other arm wrestler strength he doesn't let him get to the straps any round maybe only after it's almost over .

Man i hope this doesn't discourage him. This match means literally nothing. Travis' form not long ago, in 2018 i believe, vs Giorgi Svetkov proves he can be at least in the top 20, maybe even top 10. Its just going to take longer than he had to prepare. Its not like hes training for peak only, he still has to catch up to the new game, THEN he can start training his peak only 👍
But he will likely take this badly. Not even getting to the strap, yikes. Understandable against Levan or Vitaly but agrinst a top 20 guy thats worrisome.
