Love this powerful story of Christ and his power and love
For the unbelievers out there I pray that God would open your hearts so that you can receive his grace. Prayers does work but only if you believe. If you prayed with an unbelieving heart then what's the point of praying at all? I had prayed for others and have seen the power of God's work and not because of what people's actions. I do hope that one day you would be able to experience God, it is the greatest feeling that one can have in their life.
8. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might

9. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my

God always heals.Jesus never turned any one way.He healed all that came to him and he is still the same yesterday today and tomorrow.Just because we don't see it manifest does not mean,He didn't.There are so many things involved in a healing that we don't understand but the problem is never God.
As for Paul's thorn in the flesh.It wasn't a sickness, study it in context.It was all the persecution that came against him and God has not redeemed us from persecution.
I know many people are biased toward healing preachers today but listen with an open heart to something's.
I recommend you listen to GOD WANTS YOU WELL by Andrew wommack and be open to be challenged.None of us know it all.

Truth. I like it when Christians are open to all of God's mysterious options.
I pray, and others have prayed for me since I was 7 (many many moons ago) and illness only gets worse ! ! !
be like the woman with the issue of blood and know that i you can just reach out and touch Him you'll be healed. Never doubt. Jesus already healed you, just received it.

acording to wikipedia, Matt was give ' a clean bill of health in september 2010'. That means he's healthy.
Its not a matter of believing hard enough, doubt and fear block faith out.
I pray that he has! Hope it never comes back :)
yeah, he's still pastoring in Texas. I believe he still has to go every so often to get checked to make sure the cancer hasn't come back, but yes, God healed him! :)

The material (Adamic) man is of a short duration, it is the Spirit that gives life. 1 Cor 15 speaks powerfully about the new birth of a Spiritual body that will be born from the tomb of death. It has never been about immortal souls needing to be saved from hell, but of the redemption of the body (the whole person) from sin and the wages it pays...death! The Orthodox Churches of today preach a different Jesus and another gospel and herein lays the confusion and problem. 2 Cor 4:16-17

@hmala Pastor Matt has said that he doesn't believe that God gave him cancer, but that he definitely wasn't surprised when he was diagnosed & he did nothing to stop it.

@SoldierOfChrist110 what makes you think Paul was using a figure of speech? there is nothing in the passage that suggests it to me. also, where else in the NT do you see sickness being used as a metaphor for persecution? Paul often spoke of numerous difficulties he went through like hunger, sleeplessness, dangers from false teachers et cetera. Paul states the reason for the physical issue is to keep him form exalting himself 2Cor 12:7
How is he now? It's been two years since this recording. Has he beat cancer?

I feel I'm taking crazy pills reading ur posts and seeing the clip. God heals PERIOD! God is faithful NOT MEN.

@hmala God does not give cancer. He lets it happen... It's obviously a trial to see how faithful Chandler is to God. Does Chandler only love God for all the good He gives in his life? Or does Chandler love God unconditionally. This video proves it all.
@stuword323 I'm not sure if 'control' would be the right word. It sounds as if God also 'controls' who he wants to tempt and make someone fall through Satan, you know what I mean?
But yes, God is in control of His plans and it will never fail.
I'm sure the hundreds of thousands of dollars spent on medical care and the years of experience of doctors would say otherwise
if Jesus healed while on earth, why not now? so many people suffering and man it just seems almost like a tease that someone was able, willing at one time, supposed to be even more powerful now, and then just not. and then these type just really seem to blindly cover all bases with "it's His will". working through the suffrage or, He healed. forgive me Father but I'm just at an all out loss lately.

That's a lie. That idea places healing and salvation in your hands. We like that because we can control it, but it's not true.
the only thing is that he never actually said that. He never said if you believe your gonna be healed, you will be healed. U kinda just made that up. Sorry man.

+John Rain Is healing on this earth so important? If there is eternal life, this life is nothing more than an exercise to be ready for what is to come. God is using this pastor to teach his flock how to be and how to react in the face of tragedies this life throws at us. After all, we ended up here because of freewill and sin of Adam.

So you are saying that god's healing has two steps:
1) death
2) healing in the afterlife
And this phase 2 healing is invisible to all living humans. Sounds like the emperor's new clothes to me.

Love this guy's heart but he totally misunderstands the cross. Jesus took our sickness and disease just as He did our sin. Read Isa. 53 and Matthew 8 where he quotes it in reference to the healing ministry of Jesus. God already healed this man. Have faith and receive it.
If God doesn't heal you He doesn't love you very much. Probably only as much as he loves skunks. God doesn't heal skunks much.
I find the pastor's willingness to undergo surgery belies his lack of faith in prayer. If god is more powerful than the science of medicine, why go to the doctor?
junkmailjoebrown I know the comment is three years old haha but I had to respond. God created this earth for humans to flourish. The Lord also created the plants and herbs of the earth that can be used to make medicine. The Lord also created the doctors in His image. It's about believing that God has the full power to work in and through all things. He's my pastor now and what an amazing man with an amazing story that he glorifies the Lord through every sermon.

junkmailjoebrown You're juxtaposing God and science but God created science. He created the natural world and its order. At times and if he so chooses he operates on our behalf outside of those natural parameters--aka a supernatural "miracle" His existence encompasses all of reality, the natural and supernatural dimensions.
As before stated it's not a lack of faith to use the natural means which were created for us, while praying for a supernatural healing. I'm in the very process myself at the moment, juicing and using herbs and medication while also asking God for a miracle. I'm in his hands, as we all are.
If God will heal through the science of medicine, why not? :)

I dont think So myself, but why God doesn't heal everybody including me is Just stupid. I stopped praying for healing and go on with my life, its much better than praying without results......
