I wish that you worked for Seat in Ayrshire as I've spent almost £700 so far trying to get my Seat Ibiza boot lock fixed. It's going back in next Friday as it's jammed again. It's had 2 new boot handles and locks in 2 years and now they say it's the wiring. 8 mechanics have looked at it so far ! No one seems to be able to fix it. I might have to play your video to help them. ! Thank you for your informative video.
Thanks man this has been helpful. My car makes a spinning noise as though the motor has become disengaged. Hoping opening and closing it this way will sort it.
Think i owe you a pint! Different switch in my pre facelift but same issue ended up building the switch back up woth epoxy will see if it works when its dried
Hey bud, bit of an odd one but I've got the same issue, back covers off.. I flick the mechanism but it doesn't do anything like it's not connected to anything.. moves freely.. would releasing tension on the boot help?
well my mom's Leon doesn't have the fucking inside latch... it seems as though it's something physical that's stuck, because sometimes if I push the boot symbol faster, it clicks open

Do you have to dis-connect the battery buddy?
Don’t worry, all the connectors are made in a way there is no power once they are disengaged. So, simply remove it and disconnect the pins. That’s it
