This is a speedrun of the game, using a cheat code to add the Expert difficulty (hardest available). Go to options and while holding select push "up up down down left right left right".
Expert mode
Starts with no extra lifes (least possible)
Starts with 0 credits (no continue).
Finishes the game in 49 minutes.
This was played on an emulator using a playstation gamepad without any sort of configuration different than a real Gameboy Advance. Each button works as a real Gameboy Advance. It took me many many tries to master the game. I use a lot of the multi kick combo move because it gives a lot of points, and 50000 points = extra life.

Awesome playing. I will have to try that rapid kick. I never use it. I just missed a 1 CC on expert today. Fuckin timer on the final stage. I found a farming spot at the end of Stage 5 so that definately sped things up.
The only bad thing about the expert mode is that the game do not reward you with an alternate ending like DD 2 in NES. But overall, this is a great game.
Can't believe you're getting thumbs down on this. 0 lives to start, you lose over half health bar on first level even when working systematically. Well done, i say.

i give you props kid. you are a talented gamer. i miss this game. & streets of rage 3 i used to play it in the most difficult level right when i got it. i wished i could have upped the difficulty on Actraiser 2

Congratulations! Awesome run. I've beaten this game on identical setting so I know what hardships you overcame while mastering expert. I played on gba emu on xbox using playstation pad. It was in 2003 or 2004. Stages 4 and 7 were the most iritating. I noticed that a timer in stage 5 boss is unlimited so i was farming points for 1 ups while standing on a higher platform. I have to make my own DDA video.
Ah, yes. I just discovered this exploit recently. Im using it in my 1 CC expert run as well. I should have the run finished soon. Just missed it today.
how do you do the multi kick combo?
It's been several years that I've played the game, but I recall it was something on the lines of pressing down, then kick.
Thanks! It's been many years, but I think you need to stun the enemy, and get close enough and press down, then kick.

When the enemy is briefly stunned do down, kick from a fair distance.
But a inside round kick come out, instead the 4 kicks in a row I told you I want to.

Good play! I put mine online on my channel. It's a little different of yours 'cause I'm more a elbow hit player than combo kick but you inspired me. It's also unfair when you hit Linda, the combo kick stop for no reason.
I never realize also they reuse the jump kick from the wall (dd3 arcade).
This is 11 years old. I'm still here ^^ I don't remember where the Linda combo was interrupted on mine. Will check your run for sure!

Thanks been playing this game for years on my psp and I finally preformed the multi kick. Now how do you do the helicopter spin kick.
Without a doubt, you are a pro at this game. What an amazing run! That water in the cave level never fails to screw you over, does it? The Cave and the Truck levels are always the hardest for me, because it's easy to lose several life bars.
I'm also a pro at this game and I've beat this game on every difficulty setting.

The spin kick is done by jumping and pressing punch and kick at the same time.
i remember just punch the enemies but not kill them to gain more scores

it's a needy strategy for getting extra lives, but it has almoust every move from every game from the franchise exept from super double dragon with those cool grapling moves with the fists and kicks they were cool but too bad they didn't make to this game
