    I had worst case along with horrible misphonia and tinnitus. It seems miraculous that it's all gone .I spent 5 years battling all odds. I would say my case was the worst. It started with a loud blast in my headphones from a war type of video game . I also blasted loud music six months prior with earbuds non stop. Running water...driving...showering...,dishes...television...radio...shopping carts...Squealing brakes...babies...even my wife's voice offered me pain. Just the sound of "S" in speech was painful.

    Give time for your body to heal and repair itself. It will get better. Massaging your head, jaw, face and neck. I did acupressure and lymphatic drainage massages worked.

    Sometimes it's not the sound itself that's a threat..it's what the sound represents that is a threat.

    I developed hyperacusis and tinnitus at the same time. I have lived through hell these last two years. My ears asked me for silence and when I gave it I heard the loudest and most torturous beeping. I have managed to control the hyperacusis, but the tinnitus is getting worse. I came to live secluded, isolated, going out as little as possible. I was a musician and I have lost many things that I liked to do, what gave me life. The doctors and the tests did not solve anything, damn disease.

      You still can beat this. I had both too. My tinnitus was very loud . I did start out using TRT and it helped a bit. My real improvement continued with my own sound therapies . I used every sound on youtube and recorded them to play back in a loop. Tinnitus spiked up and down...many setbacks. It's a normal trend

    Initially got sinus infection from AIR CONDITIONING in the ceiling, dirty particles were breathed in whilst sitting at work.
    Frustrated year long wait at hospital. I have been seen by ENT DR & otolaryngologist. Had MRI SCAN & there is leaking fluid from ear into BRAIN. Referral to neurologist another waiting list.
    Told bilateral tinnitus non pulsatile right ear worse than left. Asymmetry on hearing test with bilateral LOSS IN HIGH FREQUENCIES. Prominent lateral and 3rd ventricles. HYDROCEPHALUS.
    Put on list for Hearing aids and sound therapy. Told NO CURE for sizzling, hissing, beeping tinnitus. No hope !

    Dr Ben thank you so much for this video. I have the same but with tinnitus that gets louder with sounds. I haven't seen any success stories with my issues. It's always one or the other. Do people hearing with T AND H where T reacts to sounds get better. Does it mean it's not possible to recover?

    • @chrisgladue8946
      @chrisgladue8946 4 месяца назад +1

      Hi, I had the same problem, my tinnitus was a buzzing sound that got louder with any kind of sound, the sharper the sound the worst it got. ENT surgeon recommended hearing aids, any doctor added steroid nasal spray. It's been four years since I had that problem, it pops up now and again and now it reacts to sound for a second and it stays away all day and most of the night. Right now it's totally gone and hopefully it stays away this time for good. The ent indicated it was an edt. Your sensitivity will probably taper off eventually like most of the people with tinnitus.

    Can hearing aid/s be used for loss of hearing when suffering hyperacusis and tinnitus?

    • @treblehealth
      @treblehealth  4 месяца назад +2

      Yes, hearing aids can be used to address hearing loss in people with hyperacusis and tinnitus. They can help amplify external sounds, making tinnitus less noticeable, and some hearing aids come with built-in sound therapy features to further manage tinnitus symptoms.

    • @treblehealth
      @treblehealth  26 дней назад +1

      I understand your concern. While hyperacusis can cause discomfort with certain sounds, pain hyperacusis is less common. If you're worried, it's important to consult with an audiologist or specialist who can guide you through managing hyperacusis and preventing it from worsening. If you haven’t already, consider speaking with a specialist for personalized strategies to help manage your symptoms. Schedule a complimentary telehealth consultation: treble.health/consultation
