Can't figure out my 1982 Chevy Citation the flasher that works the turn signals and the hazards is in great shape the hazards work but the turn signals will not. I watched oodles of videos and tried to figure it out, put new bulbs in check the fuse, I only find one flasher it's not even where it's supposed to be according to the repair manual. I'll just continue to manually flash my blinkers forever 🤪 LMFAO
FYI to all a pinched trailer light wire between the spare wheel and the chassis has similar symptoms. Insulation of the wire rubs off and makes contact then pops the fuse for the turn signal + B/U when either passing reverse gear selection or going into reverse. This happened on a Blazer.
Thanks again for the video. This has got to be the dumbest place to put the flashers. In the previous design it was easily accessible near the parking brake. Great job dealing with the people in the comments who asked questions that were answered in the video. You have the patience of a saint sir. You're to be commended for that as well. 🏆🏆🏆
lol my 4-way switch is held down with tape. Fuel pump and coil are on their own switch, can turn ignition off and take key out and the truck is still running... Keys also fall out if you make a left turn a little to hard. Ohh and that tape on the 4-way is because the button came out and it causes so many problems that im currently in the process of wiring the blinkers to a 3 way switch of their own and the 4-ways to their own as well.
Thanks for you video the emergency flasher if get stuck will not let you turn signal work and the sign is you lights in the dash board will not come on thank you
the break light relay under the hood..when it's inpluged the high mount light gets brighter. plug it in and push on the brakes with it running and the idle drops till you let off the brake then it goes back to normal
brake lights, turn signals, and hazzards dont work but all the other lights do even the high mount brake light.when I push the brake the high mount comes on if I unplug the relay its gets brighter plug it back in n got the brakes the idle goes down
brake light relay..when inpluged the high mount gets brighter. plug it in and with it running hit the brake pedal and the idle will drop till you let off the brake
Hmmm.... Can I hope it's the same with the 94? My signals died very slowly. It wasn't a "suddenly stopped working" issue. They just slowly stopped working over time
i have a nissan march 2012 and iam having many electrical problems , right now fog light works and headlight works, front wiper but the electrical lock system not working and turn signal not working , and back wiper not working , any idea what do i have to change ? btw turn isgnal is flashing rapidly but no signal is on from the bulb
I'm rebuilding a 96 Sonoma, trying to figure out WHAT the "box" above the flashers is. Mine is missing, Brake switch, every wire has been cut, the connector, that plugs in to switch,,,,, Not there each wire using a crimp connector. SMH
ok looking for short I hit the brake heard the relay making a funny noise..replaced it hit the brake and blew the fuse. so i inpluged the multiswitch but the brake high mount n driverdide brake light started working but not the oassingerside
I got a 94 S10 blazer my right blinker won't flash bulb is new clicks fine bottom parking light doesn't work and left blinker works but flashes really quick bottom parking light doesn't work bulb also new...
with a test light verify that you have power and ground to the connectors. check the grounds that hook to the frame and body by the battery. may have to take battery and tray out to get to grounds.
I tested for short by disconnecting the pos.cable. using a test light I clamped one side to the battery and touched the other to the cable and it lights up. so I made she everything was off and pull each fuse one at a time and the light never went off..does that mean theres a power to power short
swapped flashers to see if it would make blinkers work but it did not work. bought a new flasher and installed it and it still wont work. what should my next step be?
Ok. i would like to know. i also got a 91 chevy 1500 pickup with the same problem. gotta check the wiring from the switch to the back by the frame rail to confirm if there is any wire shorting out. only getting 11volts to the ear bulbs but battery has over 12v. so gotta be shorting somewhere or bad ground. also the fuse for the tail lights is also getting really warm to the touch when on.
Hola sabrás dónde van los relay la caja de fusibles dónde trae todos los relay por no se la encuentro Ami camioneta solo en cuentro los que están adentro del lado del piloto me ayudas para saber dónde se encuentran
Can this be the problem with my 95 blazer ? Blinkers Dont work! Sometimes right side blinker only works rare I have another issue with the low beam lights Dont work :/
REYNALDO VASQUEZ DJ NALDO listen to bottom right of dash. do you hear clicking when not working. if not replace this cheap part first. the low beams could be in the headlight switch. they go bad from time to time.
at first after they went out I replaced the fuse hit the brakes and itbblew the fuse..I replaced the brake switch and it stopped but I would hear the relay clicking but no lights
check the wiring from the front driver side frame rail all the way back to the tail lights. there might be a short. also check the rear for a ground strap or just a normal ground to the frame. clean the ground back there and reinstall.
I have a 1999 GMC JIMMY that clicking of signal-stat won't stop clicking. Only when I apply brake will it stop clicking. Left and right signals both work, and hazards work, brake lights work. I just can't figure out why it keeps making clicking sound. I replaced signal-stat with new one, but still have problem. Has anyone else experienced this problem, and can give me an idea how to fix it ?
Ok so I have a 1998 gmc Jimmy with the exact same problem but mine is a 98 and it's different it has no relays behind ash tray my only relay is behind glove compartment, I've checked all fuses and they are good, can anyone point me into the right direction is there another relay I should switch??
bam6972 yes theres a flasher relay behind my glove box, but it only clicks when my hazardous lights are on i bought a new really and it still only clicks with emergency lights. i still can't figure out the problem
I've looked and looked and theres only one unless the owner before moved it, the only flasher there is says combination flasher.im going to have to take it to a mechanic
the break light relay under the hood..when it's inpluged the high mount light gets brighter. plug it in and push on the brakes with it running and the idle drops till you let off the brake then it goes back to normal

Thanks man. Saved me a trip buying a part, it was the hazard button issue, jerked it around and they working again!
God bless you brother. With out your video, I not sure I would have found it.
+Steve Hutson glad it helped.

I have a 97 Sonoma and there were only 2 T30 bolts to remove. Thanks to you I now have flashers again.
+Sal214OC great!
short and sweet, mine just went out and i had them back working within the hour, good vid man

thank you so much, i replaced both and now turn lights and hazard lights work perfect.
Thanks for you video the emergency flasher if get stuck will not let you turn signal work and the sign is you lights in the dash board will not come on thank you

I did it! I fix my turn signal malfunction. Thank you for the info. You save me a lot of cash from the crook mechanics.
Sneaky Ray most mechanics are going to hell for sure!
Thank you! Helped me out today lol
cool.
So I did it it worked for a day but now when I flip the turn signals, it just turns on the hazard lights
Hmmm.... Can I hope it's the same with the 94? My signals died very slowly. It wasn't a "suddenly stopped working" issue. They just slowly stopped working over time
could be. I would start there. there cheap.

I have a 1990 Buick reatta with similar issue. Can it be the turn signal also? I thought the bulbs needed to be replaced but it still not working.
+Ray Lozada try changing the turn signal relay. 9/10 times its the relay
I got a 94 S10 blazer my right blinker won't flash bulb is new clicks fine bottom parking light doesn't work and left blinker works but flashes really quick bottom parking light doesn't work bulb also new...

+Mel French it could be in the multifunction switch or the hazard switch.
ok thanks I'll check and let you know
Ok. i would like to know. i also got a 91 chevy 1500 pickup with the same problem. gotta check the wiring from the switch to the back by the frame rail to confirm if there is any wire shorting out. only getting 11volts to the ear bulbs but battery has over 12v. so gotta be shorting somewhere or bad ground. also the fuse for the tail lights is also getting really warm to the touch when on.
hey I tested for a short by putting test light between terminals then pulled each fuse but the light stayed on...????
BOUGTH A 96 SONOMA THE HAZARD SWITCH IS BROKEN OFF AND THE TURN SIGNALS DONT WORK COULD IT BE THE HAZARD SWITCH SHOULD I REPLACE THAT?
I would replace the flasher first as its less then 10 bucks. the hazard switch is part of a assembly and would cost a lot more to fix.
So my s10 turn signal work but hazard light doesn’t work just when I press the brake pedal any idea ?
The brake lights override the hazards there's nothing wrong.
omg thank you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
+Brooke Hayes not a problem don't forget to like and subscribe. there will be more blazer videos soon.
98 1500 sierra, no running tail lights and turn signals??????
check all the body and frame grounds. especially the negative battery wires going to the frame and the body. they like to brake off in that area.
now when I push the brake I hear a noise coming from the relay
Hola sabrás dónde van los relay la caja de fusibles dónde trae todos los relay por no se la encuentro Ami camioneta solo en cuentro los que están adentro del lado del piloto me ayudas para saber dónde se encuentran
when I push the brake the relay makes kinda like a hissing noise
What about a 1997 chevy blazer?
should be the same. i think in 98 they put the flasher behind the glove box
Would that cause the number one fuse and the number 16 fuse to pop together
no. you probably have a short to ground on the tailights. run the wires down the frame.
What model & YEAR is this ???
1995 s10 blazer.
Can this be the problem with my 95 blazer ? Blinkers Dont work! Sometimes right side blinker only works rare

What if mine blinks on the outside but on the inside no blinking or sound " any ideas 05 nissan maxima
at first after they went out I replaced the fuse hit the brakes and itbblew the fuse..I replaced the brake switch and it stopped but I would hear the relay clicking but no lights
check the wiring from the front driver side frame rail all the way back to the tail lights. there might be a short. also check the rear for a ground strap or just a normal ground to the frame. clean the ground back there and reinstall.
I have a 92 Silverado anybody know where the flashers are hiding at?
I have a 1999 GMC JIMMY that clicking of signal-stat won't stop clicking. Only when I apply brake will it stop clicking. Left and right signals both work, and hazards work, brake lights work. I just can't figure out why it keeps making clicking sound. I replaced signal-stat with new one, but still have problem. that is pretty weird. maby the turn signal switch has a short in it. try replacing that
94 has it underneath the wheel by the e brake
Old design. 94 should still be the square body S-Series
changed the flasher and nothing ..it doesnt even click ///.. i guess im going to try to change the switch
that would be the next step. I would check the fuse first.
bam6972 what fues is for turn signal I have a 1997 jimmy GMC
Ok so I have a 1998 gmc Jimmy with the exact same problem but mine is a 98 and it's different it has no relays behind ash tray my only relay is behind glove compartment, I've checked all fuses and they are good, can anyone point me into the right direction is there another relay I should switch??
TrackVsATV im pretty sure that the 98 and up they put the flashers behind the glove box
bam6972 yes theres a flasher relay behind my glove box, but it only clicks when my hazardous lights are on i bought a new really and it still only clicks with emergency lights. i still can't figure out the problem
theres two different flashers. one for the hazards and one for the turn signals. there should be 2 flashers behind the glove box.
I've looked and looked and theres only one unless the owner before moved it, the only flasher there is says combination flasher.im going to have to take it to a mechanic
dam... let me know what happens
