It was an honor having you there Katrin! / The Fjällräven polar team
I’ve applied for this I have a passion for arctic weather the feel of walking through completely snow covered planes with nothing truly gives you a glimpse into what life is like where there is absolutely nothing. In the past 2 years I’ve been to the Himalayas twice and climbed once my next adventure was going to be to Norway/Sweden this genuinely looks like the experience of a lifetime! The filming and editing ability in this is truly astounding. Good luck to everyone applying and to anyone who has completed this!
Beautiful video and perfect adventure I hope to be lucky enough to be part of such a team and a wonderful adventure, especially as a wildlife and landscape photographer.
This journey was always my dream, and i mean it, seeing arctic Scandinavia. Since i am a long distance hiker and climber i wish this journey. Hopefully this year i will make it if i get selected :)
Someday, if you’d consider a legally blind long distance hiker, I’d love to join. Caring for my 95yo mother right now, after which I’ll be back to adventuring.
Sled dogs are some of the best cared for animals there are. They absolutely live to run.. just like any pet dog begs to go for walks. Just look at the smiles on their faces in the video 😊
As one of the #Fjallravenpolar2023 competitors I can promise that my sled team and those of every competitor were the happiest dogs I have ever known. They want to run, they are never forced to pull a sled and the lead sled musher is constantly checking they are ok. The musher knows every dog and can tell if they are ‘under the weather’ long before anyone else would. That dog is then rested, rides on a sled and given care until they are either fitter or taken home for a longer break and vet check. Every person looks after their dogs before themselves and even when we get into camp, the first two hours are devoted to caring for the dogs, loving them, putting jackets on them, getting them water and feeding them, before our tents go up or we look after ourselves. The dogs are the stars of the show, they deserve respect and admiration. Have a great day!
@@nomadseakayaking6655 Is the Dog not a Beast of Burden/Slave? It doesn’t matter how well they are treated, they are still slaves to ferry inconsiderate humans across the wilderness. Their nature is to be free and not to be the work horses of those who wish to play in the woods. I bet you have no idea of the exhaustion they go through. They are not meant for pulling sleds and you know that. It is completely unjustifiable.
@EDWARDKILE You clearly have not ever met the sled dogs. They get depressed if they don't get their runs. It must be weird that somebody enjoys exercise if you walk only to fridge from the couch

Would love to go at some point in my life, however for now I have a long way to go before I am ready. Until then I keep dreaming though!
Fjallraven should make some products for our dogs!

The dream. Definitely competing this year!
So what jacket is Carl wearing at around the 3 minute mark?
It is the Polar Expedition parka: www.fjallraven.com/eu/en-gb/men/jackets/down-jackets/polar-expedition-parka-m?sku=F87173
💙🇸🇪💛
മലയാളികൾ ഉണ്ടോ?? 😎
Yes we've had people from all over the world since Polar began. We encourage everyone to apply!
Barking dogs are too much.
I love Fjallraven but it’s a shame how they exploit those dogs :(

I don’t agree with you!
