Good to see that the M3As are still being used a lot
Im a native born New Yorker from the Bronx . Unfortunately i haven't been to the hometown city in a long time . Although that said? My heart is still in the city. . Last time i was in the city area was 2005 i was in 2005. It was Yonkers for my late Nonna passing on my late fathers side. Im a 66 y.o guy with rich find memories from my early years of the city. I hope to one day before i pass ? I get the opportunity to revisit the city and stroll through some of the areas there in the city. The Bronx and Yonkers. In close i know the city has undergone some say? Challenging times to put it mildly. I wish for many there snd us natives no longer there ? That a real focus had been made to truly preserve the good that has been there in the city. I know there is still some beauty and good folks there ? But like the rest of our country things and times have changed. Thanks a million for sharing this train ride on the line here. Ciao.

My old line. How I miss taking the train to the city! In the summer of 1976, this line got me back and forth, to and from Midtown Manhattan every weekday. I earned enough money to buy a stereo with very large speakers I shlepped back home on the train. Thank you Korvettes on 5th Ave.! I took this train line to see Queen in 1977 and 1978, Kiss, The Grateful Dead and The Who.Yes, Styx and The Moody Blues. All at MSG! I was a lucky teenager. Thanks to all the hard working people who transported us safely! I always felt safe.
Can’t wait to see this in tsw2

Awesome video Bro. !
MTA Metro-North Railroad, going your way!!🚉😁✌💯
We finally got the first look today of this route and I gotta say! This one’s gonna be fun and absolutely challenging with this being in the Big Apple now!!
wow those are some smooth rails.
Great Job On This Video Lance Wright! Keep Up The Good Work!
Very nice.
every body may the force be with you
Please bring more videos like this! I LOVE seeing these full rides via railfan windows showing the trackage! Hope you could do every route on the NYC Subway, Long Island Railroad, & Metro North Railroad! Thank you! 🥰🥰😁😁
Great! Instant favorite. It's been awhile since I've seen a Metro-North RFW.
I took the MTA Assistant Conductor trainee exam recently. The signals they had on the exam don't match field at all. Only one was the working limits stop sign at NWP.
Love the NYC cab ride videos!
wow i might have to try this.!
Hello from germany. Play this ride in TSW (trainsimworld). Very nice video. Thank you.
Thank you! memories of my NYC trip en 2016
NWP seems like the ‘Jersey Ave’ (NJT) of the Harlem Line.
Man, the distance between Mt. Vernon West and Wakefield, or lack thereof...
That was a enjoyable train ride
I hope you can get the Hudson line next
UK here. Good stuff, thank you. Not many signals out there - I take it signalling is in-cab?
Yes, only wayside signals at places where you'll switch tracks or where there's a movable bridge.
Their been replaced by automatic train control it’s a requirement in United States.
The in-cab signaling system has been in use for decades on MNRR; the latest change has been the inclusion of the Siemens ACSES II PTC system. You can see the transponders in the gage throughout this video - typically three in a row. They're the yellow squares that update the trains onboard computer with speed restrictions, distance to absolute stop signals, work zone restrictions, etc.
Good video
what's the purpose of the switching maneuver before the iron girder Bridge? the train went left and then right 500 feet later
My favorite route on TSW3. I wish we had multiplayer so I can play with my fellow virtual operators lol.
lady gentelemen big fan of pokemon dawn ash
Glad you got that I wonder why they haven’t been many M3 cab rides on metro north the Long Island rail and had a lot of them.
Stay tuned for more M3 cab rides
Please do the Hudson Line.
That's the Bronxville Station at 23:29. I grew up walking distance from there in the 1950's and 1960's. There used to be a taxi cab company there with all black Cadillacs lined up on the west side of the station. Lawrence Hospital is right here...
TSW2!!!!!
Superb video thanks! I can never understand though why the rail infrastructure is so shabby looking? 😮
It's incredibly expensive and disruptive to replace

47:03 - 47:07 No High visibility Vest or hard hat ... trespasser? (Or am I being an idiot? )
Maybe, though whichever way it does not seem to be wise to either trespass, or be an employee not wearing a high visibility vest, right next to an active train line (perhaps they have a reason); not you.
how come so slow
Because USA

Seriously, why is this so slow? It is painful to watch!
Boy this is a slow route
Wouldn't it be just as fast to walk? You'd get exercise at the same time!
you can get there faster on foot
