Finally, an indian film. I think 'Kahani' by Sujoy Ghosh sir and 'Andhadhun' by Sriram Raghavan sir would be best indian movies to analyze. If you like sir Guillermo del Toro's films. Then I definitely recommend 'Tumbbad' by Rahi Anil Barve sir.

Hey! Never expected you to do an Indian movie, love it.
I'd personally recommend Drishyam. Indian movies usually have this problem of being overdramatic, having forced romantic subplots leading to tonal inconsistencies; but this is one rare instance where the movie is focused on what it's trying to do. Don't have much experience with movies (more of a tv show guy), but I'd say it's one of the better ones.

@@ScriptSleuth actually sweets can mean a lot of things in hindu culture . when she gave it to him , she just said that these are for geeta but didn't clarify why was she giving it to her .so mahavir was confused bcz sweets can also mean that something good happened to the girl just like the scene where the man gave mahavir sweets because he had a boy .so he asked her what is this (more like why are you giving me sweets bcz he obviously knows that those are sweets .) she basically gave him prasad which is any sweet given by the priest after a prayer .

@@ScriptSleuth @Script Sleuth I will say start with Shakespeare. He comes very close using storytelling techniques to their peak. This movie, Dangal, I watched after its immediate release. To be honest, I was bored. It lacked intense feeling. May be you liked it too much, I dont know but there are other movies written by top writers that I think can beat Dangal on every turn. Have you watch Davdas 2002? This story has remade retold as movies, almost 16 17 times. Piyasa, Sholay, DDLJ, are all worth your time. BTW are you a professional writer? (I won't mind sir if don't wanna answer). Still, Thank you.
