- 🚨 RESCUE OF ORANGUTAN KEPT AS A PET - KUKUR NEEDS YOU NOW 🚨
PLEASE DONATE ON RUclips OR OUR WEBSITE: www.internationalanimalrescue...
At the end of last year, the IAR Indonesia team - along with the Wildlife Rescue Unit of the Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA) - worked together to rescue a five-year old orangutan, who was being kept as a pet.
Only with your generous donations, will we be able to care for Kukur and make sure that he gets the best treatment and rehabilitation possible, as well as rescuing many more orangutans in need of our help.
Kukur's 'owner' claimed to have found the orangutan whilst farming in the forest and said that he felt sorry for Kukur, so took him home and kept him as a pet. Kukur was incarcerated in a small hut, living together with the family and other domesticated animals, such as dogs and pigs.
Kukur was fed a largely human diet, such as instant noodles and coffee, and was kept tied up by a rope around his neck. After a closer examination, the medical team that found Kukur also found old wounds on his neck and ankles.
Without your help, the team on the ground would not be able to carry out the life-saving rescue missions that give Critically Endangered orangutans like Kukur another chance at the life they deserve; a free life high up in the trees of the Indonesian rainforest!
Please give what you can today for Kukur and the many orangutans like him being kept illegally as pets.

IT IS AMAZING HOW CALM HE IS. HE OBVIOUSLY KNOWS THAT THESE ARE GOOD PEOPLE AND ARE HELPING HIM. SO INTELLIGENT THESE AMAZING CREATURES ARE!
Thank you for rescuing the baby.
And thank you for supporting us Melanie! We couldn't do it without people like you.
He's so trusting, knowing these people are trying to help him. I hope that when he is ready for release into the wild he does not become too attached or trusting of humans.
Poor baby is missing so much hair! His little head is bald. Now that he is in safe hands getting the proper care and nutrition hopefully his hair will grow so he will look like a proper orangutan! Thank you for all your wonderful work. 💜🇺🇸
The rope looks like a nuse. Thank you for taking that off and caring for them.
*noose
Poor little creature , to be tied with that short rope. I am glad that you had rescue him. Now he is in good hands . Thanks for the great job you are doing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for your kind words of support Silvia!
He seems happy as hell. Treated great by those people. Zero sadness no flinching. Engaging. Just needs more space and being with his own kind is better. But the people took good care of him.
@@dutchcoven4256 where do you see that he is happy as hell ???? Look at his eyes and see that there is no zero sadness . Don't forget that his mother was killed in order to take him . I don't know if these are the people that killed his mother but someone did and in front of his eyes .
@@dutchcoven4256 You're a clown.
Thank you guys. He is very tiny for a 5 year old.
SO SWEET AND INNOCENT THAT LITTLE FACE.........
May God bless you all with every happiness of this world with this precious one.
Bless him, poor baby. His little bald head. Thank you so much for saving him; he can have a happy healthy life now. You are wonderful people.
@Cici Anne Calm down. How do you know I’m not equally outraged by poor starving children? A person can love more than one species. I love all creatures equally, including humans.
God bless people who help these innocent souls 🙏🏻❤️
GOD BLESS !!!!
Thank god for these rescuers!!
Thank you for saving him! People can help by donating and by only buying products that are made using sustainable palm oil. More education is needed for both the local people and people around the world. Share these videos everywhere.
Does “sustainable palm oil” exist
@@jessicawaters8899 Well yes
@@Styrexon Do you have links to where we can learn more about sustainable palm oil that isn’t a product of deforestation?
Thank you for all your work 🙏♥️🦧
More video like this please. Surely supporting
You guys are awesome. Thanks ❤️
He looks so sad. I’m so pleased he can learn to love life again 😊❤️
How does he look sad lol
@@dutchcoven4256 those big eyes look so soulful, like he has seen to much in his short lifetime. That’s just my take on it.
Heroes.
@Prieta Chula So you support animal cruelty?
@Prieta Chula
The biggest source of animal cruelty is animal farming, which, incidentally, is also the biggest source of world hunger; not to to mention the suffering of farm animals, such as cows, pigs, chickens etc, especially those in factory farms, far outweighs any other suffering on this planet right now because we're talking 56 BILLION land animals here and cows being separated from their babies moments after being born, pigs being gassed alive (which feels like being burnt from the inside out; in the brain, eyes and throat), male chicks being macerated on their first day of life, just when they open their eyes. Nothing compares.
ruclips.net/video/ny6aqdFy9SI/видео.html
If we converted the cropland used to feed cows to cropland used to feed humans, we could easily solve world hunger, feeding every mouth on the planet. We could also use that land to reforest areas and restore biodiversity.

Also we would stop giving slaughterhouse workers PTSD. And stop climate change from killing people because veganism would save the environment. And stop putting indigenous people into danger too!
If you care about animal rights and human rights, then go vegan - stop using animal products! Plus, vegan food is healthier and confers more energy!

Wow what a sweetie, thanks for what you do!
We can help them too, donating.
Thank you so much Rosa!
Thank you for the great help for this little pet 💚You have wonderful and kind hearts good people ♥️
Wow. He was really calm. Don't know if that's necessarily a good thing though...
He doesn’t have healthy fear of humans which will get him killed in the wild
The little man is too attached to people! He's learned to depend on them for everything, now with the love, support and guidance of International Animal Rescue, he will learn to help himself and hopefully return to the rainforest a healthy, free Orangutan! Please sponsor a Orangutan, it's worth every penny! ❤️🐵
Thank you to all helper! 💜💜💜
Why don't their government start throwing those idiots in prison for having these endangered animals? If they were punished maybe they would stop.
They were doing what they thought best, just uneducated. Completely unlike the companies responsible for deforestation and the use of palm oil in half of the west’s food products
@@alalmalal It is because of the crooked government. If they would throw those idiots in prison for destroying the rain forest then this would not be happening. But they turn a blind eye to it.
These savages should not be imprisoned, but publicly hanged on poles so that others do not repeat this. To do this, we need a harsh law punishing the mistreatment of orangutans. The government should adopt such a law.
Until captors suffer some harsh consequence for their actions the problem will continue!! I am sure all captors will say they were “trying to help, or I just discovered him” -hmmm I say not so much!!
I love orangutans
GoodJob. Allah Blessing your job
Kasian,,bulu2 nya seperti nya di cukurin..
Tega amat sih
How can anyone think that by putting a rope around the neck of an innocent creature is actually helping in anyway, my god what I would do to some people if I ever cought them in an alley.. at least some people have a heart ❤..
@jessica waters...ur absolutely right!
Can I treat them the same way they treated that poore little orangutan
Why didn't they punish the people who bullied him! Cruelty cannot be left unpunished.
He needs lots of hugs
Love
Those villagers murdered his mother.
Comfort him.
What extraordinary work you all do to save these precious creatures!! The expression on his face was heartbreaking!! He didn’t fuss or fight-he knew you were there to help him. I just don’t understand the mentality of the captors. They live in a poor country and have trouble taking care of themselves. Ultimately do you think they were going to sell him?? How was he discovered??? 😥😥😥😥😓
Odd question. At the beginning of the rescue I noticed you spent a lot of time checking his mouth. Was something wrong? And you made sure his feet and legs were positioned close to his chest-I was thinking this was odd. Typically the body would be as flat as possible. Was there a reason you kept him curled up in a ball??
When will the Indonesian people see than Orangutans are a National Treasure, and something that the country is proud of.
we do! the thing is all those evil money greedy people also see them as treasure. I hope the govt can preserve the wildlife more seriously and stop kissing foreign corps ass that keeps reducing our forest
looks like Floyd Mayweather Jr.
🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️
They seem poor condition too. I don’t understand why they keep this orangutan as a pet. Feeding a orangutan needs resource too!
Poor baby :(
Poor guy has a totally bald head because the people dont feed him the right food.
I take it the family in this video is the one who had him as an illegal pet? Does the govt in this country do anything to these people? The punishments need to be severe if they ever want people to stop taking these animals. Makes my blood boil.

Thank you 🙏🏽
How did they ever find that little one so deep in the jungle?
Someone report it
How is Kulur now ?
Who's the animal now ??? The people who tied the poor baby orang utan with plastic robe or the Orang Utan ? By looking at it we know Who's actually the animal 😢
It looks like this baby's head has been shaved or am I not seeing something right here why would they need to shave his head
Orangutans lose their hair when malnourished and he was fed noodles, soda and condensed milk so his hair loss is not surprising.
IAR, did they shave his head or did he lose his hair due to stress and/or malnutrition?
It's common for orangutans to lose their hair when malnourished and he was fed noodles, condensed milk, soda and other human foods. Thankfully, the hair usually grows back once on a diet suitable for orangutans.
First!
Il faudrait marquer les produitts sans huile depalme car il y en a de partout moi je regarde la composition du produit et toujours en petit cest ecrit huile de palme et je n en veux pas trop trist pours ces auran outangs parlez en aux associations s v plait
What happened to his hair? He is bald
That's usually the result of poor nutrition, which this poor guy experienced. He was fed noodles and coffee instead of the fruits, plants, insects and such that orangutans eat.
Why do they have that green rope around his neck tho ??
Orangutans, especially males, are pretty strong even at 5 years old, the age this little guy is. The rope may have been used to keep him from getting on top of the family members but was most likely used to ensure he didn't escape.
Devem ter raspado o cabelo dele coitado ficou horrivel
Did someone give him a hair cut or shave his head?
The hair loss is most likely due to malnutrition and stress.
Hes so under weight
Why did you put that poor monkey in a cage ... you could have hold him ... why
It's for the safety of everyone involved. When infants are rescued, they're held during the ride to the sanctuary but older orangutans are much stronger and this is the best way to ensure that the rescuers and Kukur travel safely. Also, orangutans are apes, not monkeys
*I can't believe they shaved his head to seem more human like, what they have done to this beautiful creature is appalling & disgusting.*
I believe he is bald from malnutrition.
You can tell that it is natural hair loss from what I ASSUME is a nutritional or stress issue. Pretty quick to judge jury and execute those evil horrible human's aren't ya there mr.perfect?
@@trueyankee4767 *Yes and I still stand by everything I stated. How they kill the baby's mother and tie a rope around their neck like a dog when it's a wild animal who is probably smarter then you are and if that was the case I doubt he would have a body full of hair but bald on the head and even if it was from poor conditions and malnutrition that's even worse then shaving the hair off. How about you go take a long walk off a short pier*
@@jordiejordan8249 It’s often normal for young orangutans to be bald.
It's most likely due to poor nutrition. Not only is this little guy bald, he's underweight and small for a 5 yr old male orangutan.
Fast to furious
srsly? shaved scalp?
He wasn't shaved. The hair loss is due to the malnutrition he suffered from being fed noodles, soda, rice and chips.
Dumb post
Why would anyone want one of them as a pet. You can see there a pain in the ass.
As are adults that won't educate themselves before making ignorant comments! 🙄
@@deborahallen3318 practice what you preach.
prop dumbass first time owners who thought they could take care of a monkey cause cute monkey videos said it'll be okay. most likely to pretend to have a child for a few years then drop them off via tied up to a post or just sitting there lost, scared and confused on where is there owner or what to do next. really sad, if someone gonna raise them it shouldn't just be anyone but professional's that have a license for it.
Maybe they planned on eating it
Orangutans are sooo boring.
Karen hopefully you've corrected your wiping and washing technique.
