Oh, I love this townhome. But, I couldn’t stop looking at her dress! The colours and patterns and style, with pockets, plus it looks beautiful on her.
I agree, her taste carried with so many patterns and styles but the dress was a winner and she wears it well🌺
I agree, I really liked her dress the best...And her two cute little fur babies too!
Me too Tracey, it was what grabbed my attention in the thumbnail, gorgeous print, and yes, she does wear it well.
It's by Zimmermann. Beautiful!
That’s what made me click !!!!
It's always so refreshing to see a home that is clearly a one-of-a-kind reflection of the owner's personal aesthetic. Had I seen the home prior to seeing Christina, I could have predicted that she'd be wearing exactly what she's wearing. Lesson: In a world of white, beige, and grey cookie-cutter spaces, be a Christina Nielsen... and be fabulous. Bravo!
That beautiful patchwork dress made of assorted print fabrics. Wow. It's the best thing in the apartment.
She’s absolutely stunning. The apartment is nice but she’s beautiful. Steals the show! 15/10
Loyalty: 💯😉
I like her eclectic style, it is very relatable and her dress looks great on her, she's pretty and not out of reach.
First of all she’s flawless and her dress is stunning! Second I luv her style! Her pace kicks ass :)
Such a pretty home! We love the home tours Homeworthy!!!! Pls don't ever stop them!
I totally agree!!! I am definitely loving these!
agreed.
Thank you so much!!!
I love these videos so much too. So fantastic seeing everyone’s design ideas. Getting great ideas.
Same!!! The home tours are my favorite
Beautiful home and interior, lovely to see a normal person tour around her home, a relaxing space for a wife and husband. Awesome.
Very cozy. She made the rental all her own. During the tour I forgot it was a rental. Very nicely decorated.
Oh My Goodness, Yes the DRESS!!! Absolutely stunning. I want a dozen. Of course, this town house apartment is beyond beautiful and she has such great taste. She should buy it!!!! How could she ever move out, unless she is leaving the city... Renting that place has to be more than a mortgage would cost. And loved her two adorable dogs. It is hard to imagine that she cooks most every night! How does she manage to have the time and energy to keep everything looking perfect, no doubt work, walk her dogs, and COOK??? My hat goes off to her!
Gorgeous and warm, her layering and mixing of color and pattern is obviously very sophisticated and her understanding of interiors (and fashion) has helped her create something very unique and special. Loved it, and the puppies. 🙂
Thank you for inviting us in to see your home! Love the purple glass on the fireplace! Love maximalist style. Every person is so different and I enjoy experiencing different styles, art, textiles and how people integrate it all into every day life! So interesting!
Kudos to this young lady for finding wonderful, older furniture and putting an upholsterer to work. I was doing that 40 years ago to the chagrin of my friends who questioned, why I would want to have some else's old furniture? Now I have a home full of wonderful comfy chairs and sofas and nothing went into a dump. That George Smith sofa would tip the bank, if it were new, at more than $15,000!!!
I have an old baker arm chair that's been through 2 fabrics and if it were new it would be $6000. Cost me a little over a thousand including fabric. You just have to have imagination and be willing to find the fabric... which can be frustrating and fun! But then you know you have something no one else has. I wonder what her upholsterer said when she brought that wing chair and sofa in. Over these 40 years they all said the same thing to me "where did you get that" and smile ))
I'm into eclectic, whimsical and fun, so this is very relatable to my sense of style. I wish I could include a photo of my place. lol
what a beautiful apartment.
The yellow sofa is beautiful.
Not my style, but the architecture of the house is amazing!
The skirted console doesn't belong besides the beautiful fireplace. Far from the so called English aesthetics and "very British". Too many knickknacks.
@@celiajarvis3168 thank god it’s not your house and your space you have to live in . Keep your rude opinions to yourself. Nobody asked Celia if she liked the console table there or not . Or if Celia thinks this beautiful women had too many Knickknacks. She is well traveled and I’m sure loves to display the things that she has collected throughout the years around the world. It’s OK to admit that you don’t go anywhere.
@@celiajarvis3168 The skirted console is absolutely dreamy. I love it exactly where it is.
Love her dress and home 🥰
Hello Tiffany
LOVELY LADY AND DOGS AND APARTMENT🌸🌺🌸🌺
Gosh, I am going to re consider throwing a lot of old " stuff" from French house going into the apartment ...this lady is so talented to mix things and style and instead of everything fitted and custom made , there's an old charm and everything works and looks so personal and stylish and elegant with a "je ne sais quoi" . Superb !
I've seen this home before and am very happy to see it again as it was a longer segment with added details. Lovely home with great style. Love her dress!
I've see it somewhere before also, but wasn't sure until she came to the kitchen. What a beautiful and unique rental. How fortunate to be able to live there!
Yes! I need that dress in my life.
Wonder who it's by?
@@SkyBlueWooHoo her dress is the Zimmermann Estelle midi :)

Tracey below comment, I also love the dress and it is stunning on her and her showing and description of each is very nice and interesting.
Very nicely collected objects, beautiful dress!
The most prominent objects besides two awesome fireplaces are television screens. Little display of tea set is just precious!!
This was such a breath of fresh air. I loved the color and texture combos. Amazing creativity!
This apartment is really one-of-kind! There are so many treasures that I wanted to spend time looking at. Those little dogs are just too adorable. I thought she was holding a tiny black bear cub when she opened the door! And, can we talk about that dress…magical!!
I liked the living room and the dining room but I really liked them after seeing the kitchen. Opening up the kitchen just made everything flow together. Very nice.
The home is beautiful and also I love her dress.
Beautiful apartment with architectural detail. Interesting interior design.
I love her and her confidence, her dogs and the apartment!
I love her taste. She introduced the dogs first which shows her priorities are a lived in, happy home. Definitely the English vibe of just chuck everything in because if you love it you’ll find a place for it, with dogs too. Slightly surprised she says ‘pre war’ for the beautiful period apartment. ‘Pre war’ in England would be mid to late 1930s, not absolutely every period before 1940. We would say late Victorian.
But she is in America not England
@@maritzanc I think he knows that. She did say she grew up in England, which would have influenced her aesthetic.
Being greeted at the front door with nasty barking rats😂🐕
@@archiearcturus7378 You're not well. If you don't like dogs, just scroll away.
@@sandraleigh4023 I adore well trained dogs, which I have, just not these ones. I don't expect all of my guests to love dogs, and that's ok too. If you have a problem with humans just scroll away dearie. P.S. last I checked you didn't have access to my medical records, so it is impossible to make a diagnosis on my health 😂
Loved the apartment but didn't like her decorative style which is a first for me. The kitchen was fantastic and I would love to have that kitchen in my home. The fireplaces were beautiful!
You can tell that she breathes colour and style. This design is very well executed. I’m not huge fan of layering patterns and colours but I’d happily take this!!
❤gorgeous detailing❤are we loving that outfit❤
Loving this beautiful home- just a lovely and cozy place, with the top of the top choices of color and design!
Love the detail she went into... I also appreciate she mentioned it's a rented property seemslike many never share that info in general. Beautiful eye for detail
Gotta love the dog rug @ 4:12
What a fantastic space to work with. I love her aesthetic and her little dogs too!
A very lovely home and beautiful woman..but,can we talk about those precious little dogs?? Beyond!!!😍😍
Love the little doggies, the design of the home and oh my, those Paravicini plates! So whimsical!
Gorgeous home, pretty dress and cute doggies.
This tour is a real treat, a window into the mind of a gifted designer. A truly livable space. It feels effortless and somehow serene while still plenty colorful. My absolute favorite is the awesome dining room. Stellar design mix - yet understated, functional and not in your face at all. Brava!:)
this is the third time I've seen a YT home tour of this not terribly remarkable home. halfway in, I was like...haven't I seen this before? (I did remember the backsplash tiles in the kitchen).
in general, I've noticed that at least a third of the tours on here have been done already. I really enjoy this channel and the clear care Alison puts into these tours, but it would be great to see more people whose homes are not well featured elsewhere already.
Agreed about the same homes, but also same decor across the same class and same dresses in different colors.
It feels modern day stepford wives.
I suspect it's a matter of what's showing up in your feed. For me, it's the first time I'm seeing these homes. I get the repeats with other channels on YT but not Homeworthy.
Maybe some of the homes are less remarkable, but that's kind of what I like. I can't get inspired by watching a tour of someone's $30M ultra modern home in Beverly Hills; I want to see homes that look like something I could create myself - flaws, budget finds, and all. Also, I like that the Homeworthy tours are mostly around NYC because I live in the SoCal desert and am having city lust. Just one's personal taste, I guess. :)
Definitely true, this channel must just get contacted by really thirsty people who are desperate to get their houses all over the internet. But they are some nice looking properties.
I would suspect that the pool of people willing to expose their homes on the internet is quite small. Look at the comments of homes on this channel - some are truly rude and awful. PLUS, for security reasons, some people may not want their homes online. Others are so incredibly desperate for attention that they are willing to do so. Who knows??
@@markcampbell369 It seems like most of the people I see giving home tours are interior designers, bloggers in the design field, or influencers, who want the free exposure for their careers.
Love her long dress. I wish I can buy one like this.
Beautiful. Love that you took the time with each and every piece. Such a personal curation of the space- the intentionality and attention to detail is incredible 💛
Although something feels missing for me (I think it's the overkill of bright white paint everywhere), Christina has made her home feel effortlessly put together. It feels deceptively simple and easy. That's real talent, a great eye for proportion and texture amongst other natural skills. I love the architecture of this property. Beautiful, thanks for uploading this video. Much enjoyment.
Its not the white paint.
White paint on all the walls probably has to do with it being a rental and her not wanting to repaint when she moves out. But I agree, color on the walls would add so much.
I think it's her furniture layout. It feels quite haphazard, although all the pieces themselves are nice.
It's very helpful that the designer cites so many of her sources. I'm not sure what she means by 'maximalist but understated' -- but okay! It works.
It makes me feel better about my home … nothing matches 💕
What I love most about some of these tours is the problem solving. The use of the panels in her bedroom to reconfigure her room was beautifully executed. The mix of fabrics throughout her home was soothing just to watch. I so wanted to see more of that kitchen….it was beautiful! I also love reupholstering furniture and that mustard sofa was one of my favorite pieces. Lastly….that dress…needed a segment of its own…beautiful ❤.
I usually really dislike the eclectic look but I really like her treatment of her home. It’s quite refreshing.
I love the vibe in this apt. great flow.
Her Dogs are so adorable! 🥺🥰
Love her dress and the townhouse, both beautiful.
This apartment is huge! Rare in NYC
Love her design aesthetic! Beautifully curated home.
Very cleverly put together. A perfect of example of buying what you like & somehow it all goes together. The Moroccan kitchen tile works so well, I also like the large panels behind the bed. High ceilings really are a gift. By the way, Christina reminds me of a young Kristin Scott Thomas (actress). This was fun & had a real lightness to it that I enjoy.
Your dogs are SUPER CUTE! Your home is beautiful too😀
What a beautiful home done with that refined maximalist touch! Love all her patterns, colors and textures! And her dress was beautiful!!!
Absolutely Fabulous ... but, can you ever go wrong mixing modern, vintage & antiques? Great color palet :-) ... thank you for sharing your beautiful apartment.
South African roots ! It’s a gift!
Freakin gorgeous!! Love love love this apartment ✅🥰
Just a little word on welt cord on anything. If you use, as you did, a contrasting welt fabric, you wouldn’t refer to it as self welted. Self welt is when you use the primary fabric as the welt. You could say, I used a contrasting fabric for the welt cord on this chair. That is accurate. In my experience as a decorator this is what I know to be right. Someone else may have a different view.
Stunning home. I loved the lighthearted moments with the dogs. So thoughtfully well done, seems like both a sanctuary and a great place for having people over. Thank you for sharing!
Beautiful space!!!! Was so looking forward to seeing the bathroom and closet!!
Love your dress! Your Brooklyn home is spectacular! Love your work!!!
Stunning!! AND unique. Love everything you did with the appartement
I love to see a beautiful home that has a TV and exercise equipment and dog beds.
This is such a beautiful and eclectic apartment. It looks very European, collected over time and elegant. I especially love the kitchen and the toile flowers on the mantel. Thank you for featuring this lovely, creative young designer!
She is so chic.
A lovely hostess, no doubt.
Love this NY apartment!! So Beautiful 🌺
Lovely home and great dogs .♥️
Love your home and sense of style. The dogs slayed!
I love your home. It's so special because you've used your favorite colors, favorite things, plus incorporating the very best of style, color, and pattern choices. Thank you for opening your family's beautiful living spaces for others to experience.
Beautiful home!! Lovely!
I really enjoyed this one, I like them all but this one was especially good. This young lady has a good eye for design. Thank you so much for this channel I truly enjoy it!
I love this home. Nice details, fabric combinations and decors.
Love her dress and some of her pieces but can someone tell me why young people talk "up" all the time? It's so annoying. No complete sentences.
Loved this home and decoration. The spirit of the town house and the touch of Christina gived a beautiful effect. Would love to have the same home... so let me know if you find one for me.
Charming home!! The dogs stole the show!!🤣
The little fur babies stole the show!
I like the dog that looks like a bear cub.
I'm a little surprised that with her attention to detail that she didn't disguise the other side of the French doors. I think a screen or a panel similar to the one she used behind the bed in the bedroom would also work to hide the French doors.
I also hope she'll work on her personal confidence as she's a little too old to still be doing the 'uptalk' thing. I found it distracting and off-putting.
I agree. i was thinking, why cover the French doors 😊 or something different.
Understated chic ❤️
Love her ecstatic. Peaceful and energizing colours thruout. Ps love her dress!
What a beautiful apartment. I am glad that it was so well restored. Those fireplaces are all gorgeous. Thank you both so much for sharing.
I love the apartment, it is so unique, great taste. Greetings from South Africa
Quite a wonderful French Woman. Thank you for sharing so much of your culture and your beautiful way of living life🥂
Love, love your beautiful home! Very elegant without being stuffy! I feel like you do a beautiful job presenting your home! This appears to be the soft white wall color I love. Could you please share the wall color and trim color and sheens. Whites colors are hard to pick. I love just a hint of a yellow undertone without any grey if possible?
The house itself is gorgeous !!!! all this mixing colors, patterns and the amount of stuff everywhere is overwhelming, but we all have different taste, right ?! I’d never ever wear that kind of dress 🤔 🤷🏻♀️
love her dress too!
Love her taste & her cute dogs 😍
It’s a welcoming home, love the dress of the lady and Mia is absolutely adorable.
That dress looks terrible. Clownish.
Love your design aesthetic! I am South African.. and great to hear you have some connection to SA. Our country is far from perfect.. but you’d be hard pressed to find friendlier folk anywhere else 😊 thank you for sharing this lovely video
All the fabrics are to die for 😍
La casa es divina!!!! ♥️
Green lamp is great, beautiful lady
Love the home. It is beautifully designed and also very livable.
I love her stunning dress....nice video...thanks for sharing.
Love the design, and the dress looks stunning!
Beautiful. I luuuuvthe mustard sofa and the mantel.
i love the vision and execution.
