Introducing the Aptitude Camera Planner

Accurate drawings are pivotal for large construction projects, especially for technology systems. We’ve learned that 2D drawings often fall short, particularly with security camera placement. We designed an automation tool to address this challenge; it converts 2D drawings into 3D simulations. This 3D map provides clear guidance on camera placement and angles, ensuring we capture the intended line of sight. This saves time, reduces costs, minimizes hassle and change orders in the field. Our tool is called the Aptitude Camera Planner. This is one example of how Aptitude works to make smart buildings smarter through thoughtful design and planning of each technology system. Our guiding principle is simple: to connect people, places and technology through intelligent integration.
