Please show us how you prepare your hotpot!! And describe why you use the ingredients you chose and the flavors and textures and why they are good together. You mentions kimchi. I like that. The others ingredients there besides spam, I’m not familiar with but I am willing to try new things.
Thanks for showing HMart! I’ve never been and never had hotpot! Mmm I love Asian food so I think I need to check this out further! Love seeing the shops and local sites and shops around Boston! Thanks for sharing!
My husband and I were just in Central Square having hotpot at Happy Lamb, right next door to H-Mart! They changed the format of the restaurant since I was there last. Its all you can eat now! Everything was super fresh. Then, we went to Paris Baguette to get a peach ice tea.
I like seeing the Boston area in your videos. My mom was originally from Saugus and we went for 2 weeks on vacation each summer to visit family when I was growing up. I remember going to Boston to see the Prudential tower.
It’s so strange to see my old neighborhood where I grew up on a vlog. I haven’t been through in a few months. It has greatly improved over the years as far as the grime (especially since the 80s). I can’t get over all the new buildings. It was once filled with mom and pop stores and restaurants - Teddy Shoes, Hi Fi Pizza (no longer there) and The Middle East Restaurant/ club. People were all up and arms when Starbucks came in 20 years or so ago (giving Dunkin Donuts a run for their money) and and now there is a Target and an H Mart. Central Square is what I would describe as “eclectic”. It’s always been a little bit of this and that with some surprises in between. I could tell you some stories.😉 It will always hold a dear place in my heart. Thanks for the tour.
Lori, I echo your comments. I grew up on Brookline Street, on the corner of Putnam Ave. I have fond memories of Central Square and all the shops. Corcoran's was the dept store of choice, Harvard Bazaar, Fanny Farmers, and the 5 & 10 where we got everything. We moved to Arlington in 1974, so it's been a while for me. Cambridge is still home though even when I've been in NH since 1986!
OK, now I'm hungry for hotpot! It's really nice to see the architecture of the city, as it's so different from what we have on the western side of the country.
i got frustrated the last couple of times i tried going to central square because the parking is so bad these days. also traffic is worse with the bike lanes. i miss going to boomerangs. hmart burlington is more my speed! that meal looked amazing, so much variety
Hmart is my happy place❤ The veggie aisles alone are fantastic! I always try to purchase a food item I've never tried before (and always go back for more). Hot pot is one of my favorites but have never tried it at home- so many parts to get ready. I admire your kitchen/cooking skills to take this on. As always, great vlog!😊
Hotpot looks like a yummy varied and healthy option. And yes we call spam luncheon meat in the UK. But you can still find references to it as SPAM. Looks delicious. 😋
It's hotpot season! 😀 I rediscovered my love for hotpot last month. 😄 Kay, stock up on your favorite soup base! Nothing is more disappointing than having everything for hotpot but no soup base! I just watched your older stream the other day about taro disappearing in the soup - hope it didn't happen this time. 😂
Your vlogs are making me miss Boston. :). NE is really one of the best places to be in the autumn. I do love me a good H-mart, or Asian grocery in general. There isn't one that close to me where I am now, so when I get a chance to go to one, I really try & stock up. Your hotpot looked delicious!
Omg I love hot pot! That looks so good!! Have you ever tried the fish balls with fish roe inside? It’s like a teardrop shape. Soooo good! I want some hot pot now 🤤🤤
Why, hot pots are starting to become a craze here in the states! I am a alumna of Lesley University which I believe is next to Harvard? Hope to visit one day, I did their cohort program in SC. Tfs
Hell-0 🐱 I have not ever eaten hot pot style. From the set up on your table it seems a bit like a fondue meal. I have not ever eaten a full on fondue meal with meat either. I have only eaten the cheese fondue and the chocolate fondue, since they are at a lower temperature. I am a bit afraid of cooking on the table top with oil at the required higher temperature. Perhaps I will try to be overcoming my fear. Love your channel. Hopefully you are Not letting anyone bring you down with unkind comments. Take Care Stay Safe And Healthy 🐱❤️🖖✌️☮️
I had never even heard of hot pot in real life, only in The Sims. I don't really know what it is, just Chinese seafood soup, like a Chinese Ramen? Or am I totally misunderstanding what I'm seeing online? It looks good! I hope it turned out exactly how you wanted it :)
It’s basically a boiling soup and you cook all your ingredients in there yourself! It’s kind of a pan Asian thing. In Japan it’s called Shabu Shabu which means Swish Swish cause you’re swishing your food around in the soup! It’s super fun!
So yummy 😋 😍 I haven't been back East in over 20 years 😫 The food isn't the same here (California). I so miss a decent bagel🥯 Thank you for sharing your story yesterday ❤ It's seems people have to "one up you"; my clients do this to me all the time. When they ask me a question I don't know I just tell them "That's a great question, let me look into it) then I call my product reps & get back to my client asap... Love ❤
I love the background instrumental music!

Loved shopping with you! I don't know what it is about grocery stores but I could watch people shop all day lol

Yay! 😋🍲 Hot pot in autumn❤️🔥
I need that hot pot!!! I absolutely love hot pot at the restaurant!!!! Thanks for taking us along 😄
I wish there was an H Mart in NH. One of these days I'll go down to MA and go shopping there.
Looks like you had a fun day out.
Thanks for showing us your town
Oh good! I was wondering what this 'hot pot' was after I heard you mention it. I'll watch this right now!
OK, now I'm hungry for hotpot! It's really nice to see the architecture of the city, as it's so different from what we have on the western side of the country.
Beautiful 💚 We are going to try the hot pot this weekend thanks for the ideas 💚
Love H Mart. Just went this weekend and made kimchi. Yum!
There are many HMarts in the Atlanta region…5? I moved away but it was hot pot heaven up there.

I’ve always wanted to go to a H Mart. But wow those mushrooms - $89.99. What do they taste like? So curious lol.

Love the intro music. Reminds me of Charlie Brown n Peanuts show
Love a trip to H mart! Looks yummy.

Oh yeah, def voting for a cooking thread on your channel. :-)
The food looks so good. Very yummy. 😻🌸
The hot pot looked so good.
Looks so good 🤩
Looking forward to watching this in the morning with my tea. I enjoy spending mornings with you. LMK if you have any vegan hot pot ideas.

@@TheOrganizedSoprano yessss!! Sooo good!
I would love to try your hotpot!
Mmmm, yummy looking dinner ❤
That dress is giving me Fred Flintstones vibes 😃

Yes! Lesley is so close! A wonderful school!
I'm a grad of Lesley as well and yes the main campus is just north of Harvard Square. Very close.
Your intro music 🎶 in this video reminds me of the Peanuts background music 🎶.

@@TheOrganizedSoprano OH that sounds so much fun! I wasn't sure about the split pot, it looks like a good time with family and friends 😁
I've never made or eaten hot pot. Do you need the special pot or can you do it with a regular pot?
I think it requires the special pot but they are inexpensive on Amazon! I think I paid under $50 for ours. It’s electric
The fact that you had spam and wagyu beef in the same meal just makes me laugh 😂
Best of both worlds lol
@@TheOrganizedSoprano absolutely!
Someone has to fill me in on those 90 doll hair mushrooms!
