Thank you Chris and Mary and of course Trudy for showing us your adventures..love them all. If you ever come to the US side of Georgia let me know and your invited to stay with us.Love you guys and safe travels..waiting eagerly for the next video 🤗❣️🤗❣️🤗
In Şanlıurfa do go to their fabulous world class museum! After seeing Göbekli Tepe, it’s particularly meaningful, as they have an actual size reconstruction of one of the circular pits you can enter and get a sense of the magnitude and scale of it. That whole area is wonderful! Enjoy! ❤️
Hey Chris & Marianne, I can't wait for you to finally go to Hatay; I would highly recommend for you two to visit the beautiful city of İskenderun and for some delicious Künefe I would particularly commend the "Petek Pastanesi" at "Yenişehir Mahallesi, Mareşal Fevzi Çakmak Cd. No:16, 31200", and whilst you're in Antakya for you to have a look around the Hatay Archaeology Museum. Best of luck and take care!
Hi Marianne and Chris. I want to tell you that I have reviewed all your posts from Turkey. What is amazing is that my wife and I are on our way through South East Turkey just a few days ahead of you. But maybe we should meet somewhere. Enjoy and continue to follow you.
Would love for you to film your time with your family. I know you won’t as you want to keep it private but it is always very enjoyable to meet the families of the people you follow. Would like to hear from your kids if they are in shock that their parents are RUclips stars or it doesn’t surprise them at all. I bet video with your family would be the most watched video you will have to date.

I have not been, but watched a dizi set in Midyat. It is BEAUTIFUL there near Mardin. I'd love to see what you find there (blue candied almonds, silver jewelry, soaps, spicy food) and to see it shot from your perspective. Especially the Midyat konak evi.
It would be nice if you can mention in your videos how much it cost for maintenance of Trudy and also the price of the food when you eat in the restaurant! Have a safe travel around the globe and thank you for sharing.
Very nice route. Artvin, Şavşat is famous for their nature. In Kars you may visit Ani Ancient City. In Van there is a small island called Akdamar with a very important church on it. Mardin is an amazing and old city with a spesific architecture. Urfa, Antep, Antakya will be a wonderful for food and also especially Antakya has many historical places to visit. You two have quite the busy schedule and hopefully things will run smoothly for you. Glad you got the old girl's new radiator installed. Sending good thoughts your way, take care.
Hi - we will fly and put Trudy in secure storage - we wouldn't want to put the extra miles on Trudy ... and we don't have the MOT / Insurance to drive her all the way across Europe ! So it is better to leave her somewhere safe and give her a rest !! M xx

I'm in Jersey (British Channel Islands) from France and today BBC radio Jersey did a clip on my van 'Van Rouge' about when I had mechanical problems at the weekend. The presenter then said tomorrow they are doing a special on a couple who sold up to travel in their van called Trudy. I'm assuming that's you so will listen with interest.
Hi Debbie - yes we had a lovely interview / podcast with Becca Bryers ... a great catch up and it is being shared all over the place - which is nice to hear everyone is enjoying it 🌺🙏
For the eastern provinces of Turkey, do not forget to take stomach pills with you. eastern Turkey has an above-average temperature. The bad news is there are many refugees in the east. Be careful. Stay safe. We love you C&M! 🇹🇷🇬🇧
Hi Levina - it is different on every border .... but Georgia wanted a PCR test even though we have a certificate to prove we have had 2 pfizer vaccines ... but as things open up it will just be the new normal - researching and taking every precautions so you do not get turned away at the border ... Love Marianne xx
I have been working as a teacher in Erciş on the shore of Lake Van for 2.5 years. If you come, I don't have a car to show you around, I don't know where to go in Erciş. Because I'm not from here myself. But you can both take a bath, I'll make tea, cook or order dinner. You can do your laundry too, stay at my place. I can give you a place if you want. There is electricity and internet. I'm in a beautiful place It's not a crowded house, it's just me. I know very little English but I don't think that will be a problem. Also, my neighbor is an English teacher. if you want i can post a location
Hi Jed - we don't MOT the van but do regular check ups and maintenance - the MOT is not required for insurance outside the EU And UK and we are driving east ... so will redo the MOT after we have shipped home from USA or Canada - best wishes Marianne
Hi Susan - as travel blogger we like to visit new places ! But as we also have an obligation to be back in Manavgat to open the Turtle Conservation centre we are dashing around to be able to film and share new places with our viewers 👍🌺🚐 - it has been quite a challenge - but we are happy to put in the work and share the adventures 🤗🌺
@@TREADtheglobe oh right, so it's not part of ur round the world trip, ie Russia etc? Cos of course those borders are still closed I suppose with covid?
@@susanwoods174 Hi Susan - yes it is all part of the around the world trip - but due to the Georgian / Russian Border staying closed we are just here for 3 weeks to take in some of the sights and share them - the border / weather window to drive into Russia / Kazakhstan, Mongolia and Korea has closed for us now as it weather at the Siberian end of Russia will be too cold - so we will try again in Spring 2022 - but until then we have a bit more of Turkey to visit and then we will be flying out with our backpacks and making some travel videos about some of the countries that are green or open to visitors - and Trudy will be safely stored in Turkey and we will come back and pick her up at the end of Feb ... and try to restart the around the world drive in March ... In the town of Van do they have a Morrisons?.....lol.....And they have a town called Batman...lol I looked for a Robin ,I did find a Robin Hood its a restraunt in Fethiye . Im loving your vlogs there like a dose of fresh air .......and where ever you travel, filming or not.......Yes where still here!
Hey Marianne and Chris, I don't have any location suggestions but most of us would be glad if you'd share a little from your UK neighborhood, family and friends when you visit them. I understand that you'd want to focus spending quality time with them instead of filming in your limited visiting period AND maybe you'd prefer to keep that part of your lives more private but a quick little video and maybe some hellos from those people would be nice for us. Because, even if we haven't met in person, you've become friends to us and that sort of video would feel just like we've visited you there and most of us would love to be your guests :)
Hi Caroline ... yes we would sleep in Trudy in the garage ... we have actually done this in the past .... there is a video we made when getting Trudy prepped for the world drive and we ended up staying in the garage and cooking the mechanics breakfast !! LOL 🚐
Hi guys...I missed you in Fethiye. I'm doing something similar on You Tube. I'm doing a video in the east 1st week of October when you are there. I'm doing Mardin gobekli tepi..gaziantep etc ...I'm on a coach tour filming so you never know..it be great to meet and I introduce you to my video and maybe vice versa... safe travels ...
Ha Ha !! So .... as we are connected to the turtle conservation centre in Manavgat ... we will be back regularly to support Seher - so don't worry we will never be far away !! M

Awwh Thanks Nick - it is great to hear you are still enjoying the videos and we are so happy to share the next adventures !! woo hoo xx
Because, even if we haven't met in person, you've become friends to us and that sort of video would feel just like we've visited you there and most of us would love to be your guests :)
what would you do if the van had to stay at the garage for more than one day - would you camp up outside the workshop ?
Hi Caroline ... yes we would sleep in Trudy in the garage ... we have actually done this in the past .... there is a video we made when getting Trudy prepped for the world drive and we ended up staying in the garage and cooking the mechanics breakfast !! LOL 🚐
@@TREADtheglobe thanks ... I guess the mechanics really appreciated that !!
