I have traveled all around the world, I've never seen or experienced better services provided by the council to their locals than in Turkey - This goes all the way to parks, gyms, transportation, even restaurants - Truly some of the best restaurants in Turkey are run by local councils (Hygiene standards, Prices & Service), unfortunately contrary to the UK :(
Fabulous as always! Soo thrilled you can get your Russian visas in Turkey but sad you'll be leaving such a beautiful country and the amazing people. Thank you for sharing xx
I am so grateful to have met you all - there will be a lot of our Turkish family at the party when we finally finish this challenge LOL - we are so excited, yet we will feel so sad to leave - but true friendship never tires, and video chat will keep us close xx love to you all xx 🇹🇷🚐🌺😍 Marianne and Chris xx
All sounds exciting news, you continuing on your onward journey. Wow I'm going to miss Turkey. It has been a real treat experiencing Turkey through your vlogs. Fingers crossed for the 1st of June.
Hi Marriane and Chris, that Campsite is great, we are taking notes and definitely that campsite would be perfect for us and the kids would love it there. It's got everything we would need and the price is fantastic. Thank you for that 😍👍🏾❤️❤️❤️❤️
That campsite was five quid a night?! 🤯 Turkey is so affordable! Outdone only by their heartwarming hospitality, of course. ❤🇹🇷 Great news on the visas! Very encouraging, indeed. As excited as you must be to continue, I must admit to feeling a lump in my throat forming at the thought of Turkey in the rear view mirror. 😥 That happy dance & a "you're still here" had Mrs. P. and I laughing out loud! ❤❤😎👍xx
It really is! We will be torn indeed .... challenge or stay ? Yep we will continue the challenge as soon as we can, and hope that the world situation opens long enough for us to get home ... We hope there are more happy dances to follow !! And love that you two are able to laugh with us (and at us LOL) love to Mrs P xx
I don't know what was the funniest 😂 trying the "Burnt ice-cream " or the happy dance to celebrate the Russian Visa, you guys are a tonic. Beautiful campsite, with great facilities and so close to the Beach. I'll be very sad to see you leave Turkey but looking forward to the Russian adventures. Stay safe guys 🙂👍🚐
Thanks Mary - we are so happy to have stayed in Turkey so long - we originally planned 3 weeks as we are driving around the world as a challenge rather than lots of travel vlogs - but we have enjoyed and been so grateful to have arrived in such an awesome country. We do hope to be able to continue the challenge and will truly miss Turkey when we finally leave - but completing the challenge has been such a focus for us as we were only planning 20 months away from family ... Marianne xx
We loved you trying the burnt ice cream chris 's face when the after math kicks in lol. Fab camp site great vlog as always.. Turkish people are so so friendly 👍🏴👍
Thank you 😁 Yes this has been an awesome country to be in - people, places and food ... well except this ice cream !! All the other ice creams are lovely !! xx
Hello Our Dears Marianne and Chris ! Manavgat's blue skies revived our sweet memories. Congratulations on starting your new website. We were also pleased to hear that you can receive Russian visa. But we are Sad about leaving Turkey because we traveled to Turkey with your every Video. We were impressed that the ice cream wasn't very tasty. We want to remind you that while you are still in Manavgat, please visit Side too. With our best regards Nurie and Hassan Bijan Hamburg
So pleased for you both getting such an exciting visa, but as has already been said it seems strange to think you anywhere else. I have only discovered you since lockdown in Turkey and you have been my unwitting companions during my 3rd house sale (yes the same house) and move from Devon to Essex before heading off to Europe in August. We aspire to your sense of adventure and hope we are at least half as happy on our trip around Europe before heading back to Australia.
Wow - thanks for buying us coffee !! and for coming with us on this adventure - we love travel and will keep sharing all the good stuff that we find ... Good luck with your travel / move plans 😍🌺👍
The news regarding the Russian visa was bitter sweet. I had to postpone my planned trip to Turkey and was enjoying Turkey through your eyes. I was really hoping that you'd make it to the eastern provinces and cities like Gaziantep, Mardin, Van, Erzurum, Kars and others. Sadly you never made it to the gastronomic capital of Turkey and the gorgeous beauty of East and North east Turkey. However, I shall still watch if only to see how much you are going to miss Turkey. From beautiful Oregon, USA
Another wonderful Video. We loved Manafgat. Good luck with your Visa. I am sure you will miss the delights of Amazing Turkey though. Patricia 🏴🏴🏴

I watched your brilliant video and realised the we had been to managvat before😜 we stayed in side near the water tower. We did the River cruise and the waterfalls also enjoyed the guys at the waterfalls caterpulting iced cream to eachother. Also the market was brilliant great memories 😁
WOOHOO!!!!!! So excited to hear that you can continue your round the world journey :-), although I will be very sad not to see any more of the wonderful Turkish people and countryside. Fingers crossed that the borders open as planned.
Thank you Marianne and Chris for another great video. We will follow your continuing journeys with great interest 👍 and look forward to more fun videos.❤👍🌈
Great news. As much as I have thoroughly enjoyed your Turkish travels, I am so happy that the journey is about to continue! Really chuffed for you both. Onwards....CHARGE!!!
Hi Guys another great video. I have absolutely fallen in love with turkey. I have a motorhome and I would love to spend a year driving around Turkey like you have done. I hope you do more video's on the municipal campsites because i for 1 would be very interested in more info plus can you find out if there is an app you can download on your mobile phone or sat nav for the campsite's and the price's in peak and off peak times many thanks Mike.

Hi guys, thanks for all the videos... I am a Turkish Canadian, last time I visited Turkey was more than 10 years ago. Your videos were awesome! I am sorry to hear that you are leaving soon and going to Russia. Are you sure about that? Be safe...

Hi Chris and marianne 👏👏 just us 2 Saying hi and thanks for this update 🤔 great news about your travel plans 👍 keep safe and say well and safe travels 👍👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
good to see you've re-found your ending with us "oh you've still watching".... thanks for the heads up on that particular local burnt (ashtray flavoured) icecream!
Although I am sorry that you will leave Turkey 😭 but I am very happy that you will continue the adventure 🥳 I hope everything works out the way you want it to 🙏🏻 Not everyone likes burnt ice cream, your reaction is very normal, I like it very much. If you like it, you can use ready-made Boiled Beans, very easy to make Piyaz. Tahini is not necessary, a little lemon, a little vinegar is enough, you can find a lot of recipes on the Internet, it is an appetizer-salad that is both easy and satisfying 😊
Dear Marianne and Chris, it was again a great pleasure to enjoy your video with the beautiful places and nice people. About your visa to Russia: In Trabzon there is also a Russian consulate. There you can also apply for a visa. You don't have to go to Istanbul, or are you going there to see Ersel and to get vaccinated there? You see, we are concerned about your well-being and also very curious! Best wishes and stay healthy! Muckelito and Melekita from Switzerland
