Stay in Turkey.... you will never feel the same when in Russia. there is still so much to see in Turkey, I’m married to a Turk for 35 years and every year there is always something new to see and explore.... when we visit.

You want to go to Russia, let me tell you, that magical feeling that you have in turkey, will finish the moment you cross over their border. If I were you, I would settle in Turkey, and travel around the all country making the same videos.
I was in Turkey from August til Oct, then in Russia since, let me tell you russia is beautiful in Summer, just spent past 2 weeks in sochi area. Love it.

Waoow! Side Amphitheatre . One of the biggest in Turkey after Ephesus theatre. I have been there. Our guide told us the story about the Arena's. Aren is the name of a special sand that soaks the liquids in such as blood. That's why they call the area as "Arena". Nice...

1996 and 1997 I stayed I'd Side for 3 months both years. It was amazing I loved Side, the people are so friendly, I was travelling alone and met so many amazing Turkish friends that I kept in touch with for many years after. Your video brought back so many lovely memories, glad you enjoyed your time there. Also spent many days at Manavgat. ❤
I recommend you use a sunshade when you leave the van in the sun. Can always chuck a t-shirt or towel over the steering wheel too. When I drove Australia for a year the temperature of the van would often rise quickly and having no aircon was a challenge.

I visited SIDE with my husband over 30 years ago so we were fascinated by this video. SIDE is the only place we’ve ever been to and suffered from holiday tummy, and I never get ill on holiday. I think the whole town had it 😂 As I say it was over 30 years ago, and it was amazing to see it again. Thank you 😊
I was there 30 years ago 1996 too for 3 months and 3 months 1997, I loved it such beautiful place. I met so many lovely Turkish friends who I kept in touch with for years after.
Hooray I couldn't understand why you missed Side off recently. Just a heads up it was heaving with tourists approx 1990 and apparently its even busier now. We also remember going to Manavgat on a bus to see some waterfalls and to a outdoor market that horrified us (bears in cages etc) hopefully that has changed for the better now. Thanks for taking us down memory lane. So lovely to see Side nice and quiet.

You should've driven a bit further up the main waterfall where you would find less crowded another waterfall with a beautiful restaurant at the top of the river. If you guys still around there give it a try, you won't regret it.
Great video. I watched twice. Last time, I was in Side in 19.05.2019. During our national holiday. It was full of tourists mostly Germans and Russians. It is weird to see the empty streets during pandemic. Hope it will be lively soon as it was before.
When we walk through Manavgat we drop down and walk along the river it always reminds me of Chester.When we last went to the falls the whole area was flooded,the restaurant areas and the park.The water in the river was so high that the waterfall was below water level.
@@TREADtheglobe Georgia is worth some time though, especially the mountains in the warm months. And you're allowed a year as a tourist, so at least you'll be on your way. :D

I spent last week in Alanya on vacation. It was wonderful on Cleipatra's beach. Sea and air temperatures are real summer. We also visited Side. You were probably somewhere nearby too. I wish I had seen you. Turkey is a paradise on earth. This was my sixth visit to Turkey. I'm jealous of you.

It's nice to see you smile again. And since there is no need to hurry, it would be great if you could follow the mediterranean coast east as far as possible before you go north. Surely there are some more real nice places off the beaten tourist track. I'm sure there are a lot more people like me out here who would appreciate some hints to new holiday destinations in turkey. And the general law is that there are no real holidays without the sea. Go slow and have a nice time!
