When your drinking coffee and just took yoour water pill hearing the coolent drain has an effect on you..nice repair i'm surprized i thought that WD40 over there would be WAAA40 just saying..Back in the late 60s when i was working on cars i should have got some stock in WD40 company, that stuff is still amazing . In 70s when i work in the auto machine shop we had two other products, one was in a quart can called Motor Flush. You would add it in to your oil when you would change it. What we found was it made the best penetrating oil and could break loose rusty bolts better than any other product. Next we hand as spray can left a silicone wax coating on the sureface. After grinding crankshafts or resurfacing heads, we would spray it with that suff amazing protection from rust. I think we had a 55gal drum of WD40.
Hi mate wondering if you can help , done mine yesterday handy enough but when I released the 3 E8 torx bolts and dropped the thermostat the wireing thats attached to it came with it ?? It looks like it had been snipped off at other end ? Cant find anything about this online or even where it supposed to be joined to ?? Any Ideas ? Thanks

I'm afraid I'd have to leave that kind of job to a young guy like you, that's a silly place to put a thermostat housing.
One of the reasons I don't like them....Cheers Vern.
