    Hello,
    I purchased my additional Type A to Type A Cable up to 6’ feet from a Seller via eBay and they work and hold up great.

      Yup, I've managed to find a couple of replacements myself, but because it's a non-standard cable, you don't know until you get it whether it'll work or not. You just have to hope that it does. :)

    I shoot 4K footage on all the cameras. Does the multi cam file save in 4K or only 1080? Does this work for FCPX?Great vid 🙌🏼

      This doesn't actually record or make a multicam file like the Blackmagic Atem Mini Pro ISO. It just puts out a single stream over HDMI or USB - which is 1080p. You're still going to want to record in each camera and then sync up in post for multicam. I've no idea how to do that in FCP (I'm a PC person), but in Resole it's dead easy and you can pretty much autosync them in a couple of clicks.

    Nice video. What alternatives did you consider?

      Thank you! I had been looking at the Blackmagic Atem Mini, but if I was going to go that route, I think I'd want the higher end "Pro ISO" model for the individual channel recording straight to SSD for easy editing in Resolve, but I just couldn't justify the ~$900 cost for that one yet until the world starts opening up properly. I may still go that route at some point (depending on what else is out there at the time I'm ready to get it), but for now, at this price point, the built-in display on the Livepro L1 V1 and the smaller space taken up on my desktop wins out for me over the basic model Atem Mini.

    Hey John, can you do a video with your audio mixer setup and the L1, it would help some of who are doing zoom and porting audience shots but need the external mic devices handling ok?

    • @JohnAldred
      @JohnAldred  2 года назад +1

      Sure, will do once I get chance. I'm going back and forth between the L1 and the YoloBox Pro at the moment to compare some different things, so I think a video on audio (that covers both devices) will be on the cards. :)

    Type A male to Type A male USB cables are a little weird, but not too hard to find... Amazon has quite a few from various makers and in various sizes.

    • @JohnAldred
      @JohnAldred  3 года назад +1

      Sure, they exist, but as they're not part of the USB spec, there's no guarantee that they're going to work. While there is a logical expectation of how the pins should be connected at each end, that doesn't mean they will be. There are no standard guidelines as there are with Type A to Type B, micro, mini or Type-C USB cables.

    Hello John,
    One of my camera doesn’t display on FeelWorld display and wondering if you have a suggestion for me. Thank you.

      What camera is it? I know there are some that seem to have issues with various devices like this and the YoloBox Pro.

    I use USB mics for my audio for a podcast, would I be able to use them with this?

    Thanks so much for this vid. I just recently heard about this switcher yesterday. lm looking for a (lazy) gaming console setup stream and the audio issue is my only problem. Since this bid has there been an resolution to it? I’m trying to connect my Xbox series x to my Mac mini with a Sony zv-e10 and go pro connected. Thank you!

      Nothing's changed on the audio front. I ended up getting the Behringer U-Phoria UMC404HD audio interface and I just plug my microphones and stuff into that and use that as the audio source in OBS. :)

      Yeah, you can plug it into your computer and it just detects it like any other USB webcam, capture card or other video source. :)

    I have a Sony a6000 can I use it with the Livepro L1 for live streaming?

    • @JohnAldred
      @JohnAldred  3 года назад

      If it has an HDMI output then yup, I'd expect so. I don't know if it's a clean HDMI output on the A6000, though, and the camera's built-in LCD might cut off once you connect an external display (some cameras do, some don't). If you connect it to your TV with an HDMI cable, you'll able to see if it sends just the picture or if it sends all the normal user interface that you'd see on your LCD (there'll probably be an option to turn the UI off if you're seeing your exposure settings and whatnot).
