    Currently driving an Avenis for 7 months in South Africa.
    Fuel efficiency, comfort, handling, incline speed, looks… 8/10
    ALL Good!!!!
    I bought it based on this review, Thank you!
    Only cosmetics I would add to this bike is a Hazards light switch and for the generic closed helmets to fit under the seat space.

    I enjoyed my 23 plate Avenis until a Kia Sportage decided to take a closer look and knocked me flying on Good Friday... Having riden one I would say it was better than the older Address scooter, plus it looks great!

    • @overcorpse
      @overcorpse Год назад +1

      Sorry to hear that, I hope you claim against the Kia. I am in the market for a new scooter and took a look at the Avenis but they put the fuel tank in the most stupid of places, you can't fit a top box. Who ever come up with that idea needs to look in the mirror.

    • @gthbtn
      @gthbtn Год назад +1

      @overcorpse I'm not sure what they were thinking with the fuel cap. Perhaps it's to stop people putting a top box on and spending the extra for the Burghman so they can fit a top box to that?

    • @overcorpse
      @overcorpse Год назад

      @@gthbtn Spot on. That's what I thought. The Burgman is not going to be very compelling vs the PCX and Sym Jet X at its price though.

    • @gthbtn

      @overcorpse I'm on a loaner Honda sh mode and that seems to have more power than the Avenis.

    • @overcorpse
      @overcorpse Год назад +1

      @@gthbtn Yeah, the Suzuki engines (6.4 kw) appear quite weedy compared to the Hondas (9.4kw). The Burgman is going to have the same engine as the Avenis but has to carry the extra weight of the extra fairings, while also not having ABS and not keyless. For me, for the price Suzuki is going to charge for the Burgman, it is DOA.
      I hope you * cough * * cough * claim for injuries with the Kia.

    I ride a Yamaha Aerox 155 in Thailand. The extra 25/30/35cc scooters often have in the 'small scooter' category over here really makes a difference.

    • @JakeM218
      @JakeM218 Год назад +5

      A lot of people just look at the engine size, but there’s a very large difference between 125cc bikes.
      8.6hp Suzuki scooter here 125cc
      9hp Honda Grom / Monkey 125cc
      11hp Vespa Sprint / Primavera 125cc
      14.7hp Piaggio Medley 125cc

    How does this compare to the Honda Vision 110. I like the bigger wheels and want a small bike for touring. They both look good but the smaller wheels are putting me off.

  • @thebikegeekandmore2448
    @thebikegeekandmore2448 Год назад +1

    Thanks for a nice review. How was the bike leaning into curves? Does it do a sudden drop into the curve due to the small tires? Have you redden the sh 125 mode and can compare it to it?

    • @ScooterLabUK
      @ScooterLabUK  Год назад +1

      You don’t have to worry about wheel size too much. It turns just fine. A larger wheeled scooter like the SH is better on potholes but it’s not really comparable on price to this scooter.

      @@ScooterLabUK In Germany you can still find the sh 125 mode for 2700 euro but the suzuki costs 3000 euro.

      @@thebikegeekandmore2448 Interesting what the price is now. In my country (Bulgaria) the Avenis is 2500 euro. While the cheapest (comparable) Honda is the Vision 110 that is 3000. All 125 Hondas are even more expensive.

    Into getting a new 125 Scooter here in Seychelles. Over here some comfort is rather necessary because of the potholed, rippled tarmac. Suzuki agent is expecting a batch of Avenis/Burgman 125's to come in soon. Yamaha RAY ZR Hybrid is also to land here and is a contender as well.

      Do you get the Piaggio Liberty?
      Suzuki:
      125cc
      Small wheels
      8.6hp
      No ABS
      Piaggio Liberty:
      125cc
      14” and 16” wheels
      11hp
      ABS braking
      Edit: In England, these are priced the same! No idea why anyone would consider the Suzuki.

    I own a 2016 Suzuki Address Sport 113cc MotoGP edition, and I live in Milton Keynes, where you filmed this! I keep looking at the other side of the road to see if I can see myself but it doesn’t look like it 😢 . I am sure I saw you guys at one point, as I saw a group of bikers riding Addresses. Still though, awesome you came here! Personally, I like the paint job of the 2016 one better though, the colours on this new one look a bit bland 😮

    Thank you for the first impression of these scooters.
    Do you have a comparison to the Peugeot Speedfight 4 125ccm?
    Unfortunately here in Germany we have only pre-owned Speedfight on the market. And they are pretty pricey. I'm not sure whether to buy a new Avenis or the more powerful but used Speedfight.
    If Suzuki would offer the blue painted Avenis in Europe my choice would definitely be Suzuki 😅

    • @ScooterLabUK
      @ScooterLabUK  Год назад +1

      The Speedfight is a great scooter and as you say more powerful. We’ve not tested one for a while though. I do compare the Avenis to the Peugeot though in looks at least. It depends if you want a new scooter, or are happy to go for an older one though.
