@@spinrocky7558and board control on grinds and transition. I hate the floatiness of XL but the board control is immaculate. On the other hand session wins on graphics, weight, realism, camera settings, sounds etc.
Skater XL feels like I am controlling the board. Not the skater. Which is great at times and to me gives me more of a tech deck vibe which is why I played "Skater" on my phone before XL existed. Session feels like I am controlling the Skater and the board is affected by this. I do think you can get quite a lot of control out of the board, but it almost takes hundreds of hours to understand the game on a "deeper" level which is kind of lame in itself. Shouldn't have to spend hundreds of hours to feel extra steezy. Great video as always! Love to watch your SXL gameplay. Satisfying how you pause to get a make, and the board hits the sentence continues.
@@magicwood2360I speak in only facts and you are not allowed to think differently. Really glad this was recognized. /s Think and play how you want. :)
modded skater xl vs session is both the most amazing thing to ever happen to skateboarding games, and the absolute worst. The fact that they both competed for the same very small community hurt both games, you had people who treated it like the yankees vs the red sox, completely blind support for the game they happened to like more. Obviously this is a pipe dream, but imagine if both devs teams had combined to take the best parts of both games, not only would the game have been better but also at least double the player base since it wouldn't be split between two teams. I played/streamed both skater xl and session but most people didn't and the communities were at war for years lol the session community in particular was really awful. And it shows with the lack of community content from that game, the video parts don't even hold a candle to what SXL teams accomplish. They really thought creature was going to make the game physics based, for several years they screamed this at the top of their lungs lol
In my opinion at first I had only played skater XL as I got it on sale at target or something a while back and I never bought session just because I didn't want to spend the $40 on a new game. Unfortunately/fortunately my xbox one s blues screened on me so I got a series s and could play my disk games anymore. With that being said I bought session because I was going to pay for a game full price either way and I had been watching a lot of videos about the expansive settings and customizability on console. And the real brands in the vanilla game as well. I thought session was hard for the first maybe hour but all of a sudden the controls clicked for me and it feels soo much more smooth and satisfying to do and land tricks. Personally I've been having a lot of fun with Caspers and premos, i just wish there were some more freestyle tricks like even a boneless, and sometimes the board and character glitches in odd ways. But I agree it's probably nice to be able to play both games.
i love skater xl especially modded right and good stats. You can literally make your crook grinds look so pinched like real videos, and you cant do that stuff in session
I'm down to people just enjoying both games and stop talking shit about who's better and all that. I've been playing Session way more since it came out and because XL is not that good on console, but I also love playing SSX, Dave Mirra, Aggressive Inline and other sport stuff wherever I can find... Let's have some bloody fun and let others do the same! **That said, great video and as usual, it makes me want to play XL all over again, but maybe when I get a graphics card I'll try it out!
I'd be playing Skater XL too if the unmodded animations were at least a LITTLE close to Session, but they're lightyears apart, and I cannot bother with modding a skate sim, honestly.
Before I modded my game. On pc the coping tricks and grinds are so buttery I almost may uninstall my mods lol. Half of them are kinda not working. I haven’t had luck modding that game since the first initial time. It is super cool once it’s all downloaded and exactly where u want it. I seem to not download it right or something
im pro on a few big teams in the SXL fakeskate community but havnt touched the game in nearly 2 years, been thinking of returning to it lately but moding the game so fuckin tedious which is a massive deterrent for me. maybe soon
@eternalrewind2190 sXL seems to have the board controling the avatar, similar to how True Skate does. Whereas Session has the avatar's feet controling the board. Session's control scheme of left foot/right foot controling speed, pressure, tilt, etc, is more in the realm of simulation and realism...as its title states, simulation. Street skating isn't easy, i dont expect its simulation to be easy either if it is, in fact, true to street skateboarding, which it is in the case of Session.
the reason why so many ppl cant get into session is the garbage ass setup & landing animations 💩i honesty wish session wouldd fix it so i could make love to it
Never thought I'd see "Enjoying" & "XS" in the same sentence. You get the like, but if you think it's because of Lazy Day game, you're mistaken, my friend.
if this and Session became one game it'd be perfect
All Session needs are SXL's maps and we gravy.

I think if you skate in real life it applies to session or is that just me
@@blazeplayz227it’s the opposite. SXL board mechanics are based on actual trick motion for inputs

i love mannies and nose mannies in skater xl
What’s the name of those pants ?
SXL treats the community like 🗑️ but receives more positive remarks than Session ☠️
The modders receive the positive comments, not the devs. The SXL i’m playing does not represent the game Easy Day made.
Ha i originally played session on Nvidia geforce now too
I prefer True Skate because I only have a phone after moving across the US like 5 times in 10 years. PCs and consoles don’t like being shipped 😅
you havent posted the updated settings, could you please release them (nice vid btw)

Yeah definitely easier to get the hang of compared to Session, the controls are a bit more simplified I think.
