is there any chance you could give me an entire typed out list of parts needed for this project? We are looking to rewire our 1959 Lincraft 17ft and your video was very very helpful, but I would like to make sure we purchase all the right parts. thanks!
I used 15 amp breakers...20 amp is too much...even a standard house refer and window AC is run on a 15 amp circuit...but the basics are well covered...a split breaker can also be used to increase the number of additional outlets or low draw appliances. Greetings from Baltimore
Do you need to ground this to the frame? Or do you run ground wire from each lamp/outlet/switch to the ground bar in the breaker box and have the “power in” ground also attached to the ground bar in the breaker box?
Have wire in 1970 Mobil Scout, that can not find out what it is the entire 120v only is in camper. Three strand but one of them is much lighter wire by Philips 12/2 W/G 600.have photo.
Thanks Rob for the video. I'm just about ready to rewire my '69 Gold Star. It had stranded aluminum wire which has become quite brittle. Have you had any issues using single strand wire as opposed to stranded wire? I'm also adding 12v wiring and a battery. It had no 12v when produced.
It depends on what kind of load you will draw from your outlets. If it is a microwave or a heater or a coffee maker, you will run the risk of popping breakers regularly. I put my AC on a single circuit with only a couple of LED lights.
This is great! I love seeing all of the little tricks to hide the cables/Wires.
I appreciate you watching.
What a great explanation. Electrical for dummies in the simplest terms
I appreciate that.
Thank you! Im rebuilding a 1970 terry, going to try and rewire it myself. Thank for easy instructions!
Excellent. Good luck.
i like your style Rob
I appreciate that
I am SO glad i found this channel, I am currently rebuilding a 68' Prowler and really needed to learn this!
I appreciate that. Good luck on your build
This is exactly what I needed to know for my rebuild. Thank you so much!
Excellent. Thanks for watching. Good luck on your build.
Very instructive. You make it look so simple. Thanks, Rob.
Thank you Kay
great list of parts needed. i fully agree thanks again
Thanks for watching
Great video Rob! 👍🏻
Thank you
Thank you so much ❤
Thanks for watching
Hey rob, could you please send info on where to buy all these electrical components. The box, and shore power plug?

I have not written it down. Email me with your specific request and I will give it a try.

Thanks. Personal preference but you are not alone in your 15amp opinion.

Seperate ground wire to each lamp/outlet then to the breaker box.
@@RobTheRebuilder following you on connecting to each outlet. No need to then connect to the frame?
@@mikefaust7407 No.
Helpful video, thanks. Would you ever install an ac/dc electrical system with solar hook up and a battery for off grid camping?
I have a request for that upcoming.
Where do you pick up the thin outlet boxes? Great Video!
Home Depot usually has them.

Me and Jim are about to film wiring on the King. I usually use single strand. 12 volt is a little different I think.
Is there a part 2 to this wiring video?
I have done some more in later videos.
Can I run an a/c unit and two plug outlets on one breaker?

I got confused u saud not using the yellow only black to show yellow um new to it all in my build
Black goes to brass. White goes to silver
If you were to add a water heater into the mix would you put that on the ac or the fridge run?
You would have to add another breaker. Anything that makes heat draws a lot of amps.
@@RobTheRebuilder do you usually completely replace the shore power plug or do you retro fit the original?
@@maxtrek2776 Brand new always.
Could you use 12/3 stranded marine wire?
I am not familiar with that application.
This is complicated, can I just use big extension cord .I don't want to electrocute myself 😅
You may not get enough juice to power your appliances
Can I put a window unit on a 15 amp
20 amp is recommended but 15amp with no other draw should work. Consult an electrician
Do you have a final picture of what you did?
I have some later videos that are more in depth.
@@RobTheRebuilder can you tell which video? Or link if possible?
@@rebeccaflores1431 what were you looking to see specifically? The end of this video follows the electric run through the trailer.
