@@BestSideCycling thanks! Still enjoying Vancouver for a few more days but missing riding. I'm not going to be doing any 30% inclines for a while that's for sure! (And I can never do them with my standard 52/32 11/30 gearing!)

I always took the Link light rail to the station under Beacon Hill, then took the elevator up to the top. The only time I went on the hill was on my morning commute down that hill into work - a white-knuckle experience.

So I get the impression that the main thing was that they're not normally providing low enough gearing for steep hills on these Bromptons. All this makes me think of Speed Racer from the 1960s excepting of course that was Japanese cartoonists creating white characters in a Japanese way, not sort of the other way around like this. Still, it's like a cartoon. I'm thinking a guy five or six inches taller would of had an easier time with more leg power and reach for stand ups. For myself, I'm no giant, but at 71" I'd be quite a bit taller than this guy. Probably an easier time with it for me.

I have definitely grown over the years too: mainly in my technique and experience riding steep hills with the Brompton. It definitely has a learning curve (as you can see Parth the killer climber struggle with it)... but it all came together definitely because of the anime power.

Hahaha 😆 yes just conquering the steepest part was enough. It gets super trafficky for the rest and I'm not sure if my camera man could follow me all the way on foot.
