Turn the CC’s on for English subs. Lyrics are meaningful and Fake Love is a song that could be about someone else, but also about the relationship we have with ourselves. Like how can we expect others to love us for real if we don’t truly know or love ourselves, hence “Fake Love”.
To get to know the members better, please react/watch “Who is BTS? The Seven Members of Bangtan”. And their live performances are unreal, will blow your mind!!

You should watch it again on your own with the english captions on, because the lyrics are more deeper you might think as is all BTS music. I really think you should react to another popular BTS song which is “Mic Drop” (Steve Aoki Remix) music video. It’s more hype and hip-hop, and one my favorites. It’s got the same amount as views as Fake Love. Oh and if you haven’t heard, BTS is the biggest band in the world. Like, literally yesterday Paul McCartney himself has heard of them (he was on the Stephen Colbert show last night). BTS did tie with The Beatles for having three #1 albums within one year. They aren’t big for nothing, they each have individual talents, hustled and worked hard to get where they’re at. They write/compose/produce and perform their music giving 200% of their being into their work. Really good stuff, I think you will enjoy the next BTS songs you might react to. After Mic Drop, check out DNA, Not Today, and Idol.

Bts came from a small company and first to succeed that was not under the Korean big 3 music companys. They have a real underdog story, started from all 7 living in one bedroom etc. Their fans have a special relationship to them due to hundreds of livestreams, shows, interviews they do. They want to connect with people to make music that would be help to many. They talk about self love, depression, social topics, suiside, anxiety and have many different genres to convay their messages. Rap songs, vocal songs, slow songs, up beat songs, r&b. 3 rappers, 4 vocalists. You can see Who is bts 7 members of bangtan to see them more.

bts consists of 7 members. (4 vocalists, 3 rappers, and they're all dancers). they have a lot of creative freedom and write and produce their songs. the members also release solo songs/mixtapes on the side for free all
still being in the group. the other members are very supportive of each other when it comes to members releasing solo work.
a big part of why theyre so popular is because a lot of people are able to resonate with their lyrics. they have songs about society, self reflection, self love, self acceptance, youth, etc. they also often reference books, mythology, psychology, and movies in
their songs and music videos. bts have this fictional storyline that has been running through their music videos since 2014 which actually connects the videos.
bts made it this big after years of hard work despite the system being built to go against people like bts. they struggled domestically and internationally. they were very underprivelged and were constantly mistreated, disrespected, and looked down on by the media, the kpop community, and their peers just bc they were different and were from a small company.
bts are very genuine when it comes to what they do and take it very seriously. they have been around for 6 years (since 2013) and their music can be divided into eras. in order the eras are a defiant teenager, an adrift youth, temptation and conflict, and self love. bts are now going to be starting a new era with their most recent album called 'map of the soul: persona' inspired by the ideas of carl jung, a swiss psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, to "take off ur mask and find ur true self."
btw bts' discography is really diverse, but theyre roots are hiphop. 2 of the members were a part of the underground rappers and 1 was a locally famous street dancer before joining bts.

I wish love was perfect as love itself, I wish all my weaknesses could be hidden. I grew a flower that cant be bloomed in s dream that cant come true.... I wanna be a good man just for you, I gave the world just for you, I changed everything, just for you, but I dont know me.

I'm so happy that you reacted to BTS. They are more than just a boy band. They have three rappers and four vocalists. They have a storyline that runs through their music videos. Especially in the wings era. Fake love is further along in the storyline. There is a lot of symbolism that you wouldn't get from just watching this one video. Regardless it is a beautiful song and video. They are the biggest band right now globally and have one of the biggest fanbases. We are called ARMY. They have been breaking all kinds of music records. They even achieved Beatle status by have three no.1 album in only 11 months. Their fans are diverse. Not just teens. All ages, races, genders and cultures. They have been on Time magazine and even were invited to speak at the U.N. last September. They promote self love and acceptance. They work with UNICEF to end child violence and bullying. Each member not only brings amazing talent and dedication to the group, but each member has their own unique interests that they use to express themselves. From art, photography, film editing to releasing solo music. They started out in a little known company in South Korea. They debuted in 2013, but the first member joined in 2009- 2010. They were very young. The youngest was 13-14 when he joined (15 in Korean age) They Were looked down upon for not coming from one of the three major kpop companies. They truly struggled. There is so much to their story to put down here. If you see their names written one thing you should know is in Asian cultures their last name is written first. Example: Park Jimin, Jimin is his first name and so on for each member. There are so many great songs and music videos to watch plus live performances. I know you'll get many suggestions. If you want to learn about them more I suggest watching Nobodies to legends. ruclips.net/video/sHry7zaNiNU/видео.html (The LINK IS TO ANOTHER REACTION CHANNEL BECAUSE THE ORIGINAL VERSION IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE, BUT IT'S TRULY WORTH WATCHING) If you read this whole comment thank you.💜

First off, they are a Korean Boy group 7 members (3 rappers,4vocalist). Originally a hiphop idol group but has been using different genres already and they keep slaying it. They are great in sync dancers, very good singers and awesome rappers, they even produce and compose and choreograph most of their songs. They practically practice for more than 10 hours a day for routines. They have trained for 3 years together and working now 4 years since debut as a kpop group. They always sold out their concerts from different countries including US, UK, Europe and Japan. They entered bubbling under Hot 100 in the billboard but won Billboard Top Social Artist Award 2x in a row. And won Top Duo/Group at the Billboard recently. They have already 21M twitter followers. Their WINGS album was the first ever Kpop album to chart in UK charts at #62, and ranked #1 in itunes in diff countries. Music videos are very well produced, aesthetically pleasing with such deep artistic meaning and the concepts are sooo unique! So please check more of BTS songs, live performances, dance practices and english lyrics as well. They have such deep and relatable lyrics so make sure to click the CC button for the english subs(in official MV) I promise you these 7 boys are artist. Real musicians. They dont just sing random nonsense stuffs. They are so talented hardworking boys and very passionate with their music. Thankyou! Looking forward to more reactions from you.

BTS stands Bangtan Sonyeondan, which means Bulletproof Boy Scouts. There are 7 members. That's about all I know about them (and I had to look up the name).
K-pop doesn't mess around when it comes to there videos. Most of the companies will spend a ton of money on set design and costuming because 'visuals' play a big role in k-pop. Something a lot of people in the west don't understand is that k-pop isn't a genre, it's an industry. There is a wide range of music styles that fall under the k-pop umbrella. Being an industry, they understand that money spent on creating an attention grabbing video is an investment.
I don't know a much about k-pop. I've only just recently started delving down that particular rabbit hole, but one thing I have noticed is that most of the k-pop I've seen so far blows away most of the western pop I've seen over the last decade or so, much like Japanese rock has done with rock.
If you're considering diving a bit deeper into the rabbit hole, I have 4 words for you. Chung Ha - Gotta Go.

If this pans out maybe I can give you a few more.

Thanks for reacting to BTS. They’re really good live, I recommend melon award 2018,and they have a storyline that connects their music videos. Fake love is part of that story line. You can also turn on the subtitles on the video their lyrics are great.
They’re 7 members 3 rappers 4 vocalists. This song is about the fake love we have for ourselves and the Masks we wear to portray what we want other to see us as. That’s why they say it’s fake love, because everything we pretend to be is only temporary happiness. A lot of the symbolism goes back to ten story line. One of the lines is erased my self and became your doll, and I molded a pretty lie for you. And they also mentioned trying to hide our weaknesses. At the end the last member has to confront himself, and break free of all the fake love, and face the truth.
If you notice the dance they imitate the way marionettes move.
    RM leader and rapper/ producer
    Jin vocalist/ visual
    Suga lead rapper/ producer
    J-Hope lead dancer/ rapper/ producer
    Jimin main dancer/ vocalist
    V vocalist/dancer/ visual
    Jungkook lead vocalist/ dancer/ maknae(youngest member)
They came together by auditioning for Big Hit entertainment. They trained for years before debut. They write their own lyrics and have a lot of input on their music and performances.

to answer some of your questions regarding the mv’s meaning (in terms of its visual component), well, the short answer is it’s complicated. BTS has a fictional storyline that spans as far back as 2016 through various forms of media, some of which are music videos. this mv in particular has a lot of symbolism that further expands on that storyline like the association of fire or water with certain people, the rooms each person is in, the masked figure at the end, etc (y’all kind of chuckled when you saw one of the guys, J-hope, lying on a pile of snickers, lol well that was a reference to an earlier event that the “character” he portrays had gone through). honestly, BTS are a group we’ll all be looking back on 50 years from now precisely because of things like the storyline weaved throughout some of their work. not to mention their music, their message, their choreography and performance. i really do think their vision and artistry is multifaceted in a way that few artists ever are or will ever be

BTS makes music in different genre as each group members have their own color and musicality and they aim to make music for everyone and their discography encompasses such a huge/large spectrum. We got youngsters to seniors of 60-80’s yr old who are part of the fandom called “ARMYs”. I really wish you guys will continue to react to more BTS. BTS is huge because they aren’t really your typical boyband like 1D, Backstreet , etc or like other kpop groups . No offense to them , I love them but just stating their different in their own way. They aren’t like other western artists that talk about love , sex , drugs or toxic relationships , etc.
BTS works hard at having their music connect to anyone of all ages and race. BTS stands for their korean name bangtan seonyeondann. Which means Bulletproof Boy Scouts . The meaning behind their name connects with their music . The meaning behind their name is “ to block out stereotypes, criticism, and expectations that aim at adolescents like bullets “.
They want their music to help motivate, inspire change and help people with a positive message . BTS music is know to cover social issues such as oppression , discrimination, bullying, women empowerment, generation gap between old and young , anxiety, depression, mental health and suicide.
    And other social issues
In Asian media , mental health and suicide isn’t treated well . Problems usually start at a young age which is why BTS is a voice for the youth. However even adults are fans of them as well. BTS uses their fame music and platform to address these topics and create more changes . I’ve read comments from people saying even tho they can’t understand them, their lyrics and music really inspired them through tough times of bullying , hardships and having suicidal thoughts. So if you ever question and wonder why BTS is currently the biggest boyband and kpop group , this is the reason.
Plus the cool thing about kpop is that Artists are known to incorporate different genres into their music . And BTS is really versatile . They’ve incorporated hip hop , pop , EDM , RnB , trap , rock , etc . So there’s always something for everyone

Ever since they debuted their albums always had a message and it continues to be that way. From chasing their dreams, facing criticism, enjoying youth, now loving yourself. Plus they also have an alternative universe running through their songs, and music videos. They have a webtoons and notes that partially explain everything. But when you mentioned suicide you’re not too far from the truth. Fake Love came off the Love Yourself:Tear album. The message they had in that album was learning to love yourself. As RM put it, “How can you love others if you cant love yourself?” In difficult times, while chasing dreams and going through hardships you have to find the difference between really loving and accepting yourself versus the face you put on so others cant see your pain.

BTS lyrics and MV are full of symbolism, they have a lot of meaning and significance. On their lyrics, most of the time, they talk about serious and important topics being the main one of them self love.
Coming from a person who only heard rock and stuff like that (I don’t now how I ended up staning this boys) I can surely say that this boys are so famous because they are doing it different. They are impacting society in such a positive way. They don’t go with the flow. Most of the artists nowadays the lyrics of their songs are nonsense, mainly talk about sex, drugs and toxic relationships. BTS does it different, they are definitely artists and role models
They’ve impacted my life in such a positive way that it is unreal

Bts Is south Korean group, this days people prefer don't mix them with kpop. (A large story)
    1. They are 7, 4 vocalist, 3 rappers (2 underground rappers) all dancers
    2. Bts compose and produce their own music, so is very personal, they talk about mental health, politics, society, their fans, self love, etc
    3. They have a story behind their videos so is difficult to new people understand, we (the armys) have to read a several books and study set, philosophy, psychology and mythology to understand. Their last album for example was "map of the soul:persona" and is inspired by the psychologist book the map of the soul by Jung.
    4. The army love them because they are good people who through a lot of bad things to be where they are now, and even being famous they stay humble.
    5. They have a lot of genres and you can find subtitles in every possible language.

You can watch it with subtitles on their music videos. Their music is thought provoking and it hits you hard sometimes. There is something for everyone in their music due to their versatility(Rap, dance, melody, visuals, symbolism and a message). It's so hard to find music with some real meaning in it that makes you think and feel.

BTS is BEYOND KPop! Also, please turn on the captions next time you react. The lyrics are very meaningful and deep. This music video tells a story, connects and dates back to their 2013 debut. These men are often named beside some of the most ICONIC bands in the history of music (Beatles for instance). They have done and continue to do amazing things for this world and the people in it. Despite their massive fanbase, (the ARMY) or how much money and fame they achieve, they continue to stay true to who they are. Not to mention the message they put out into the world through their music. Inspiring people of all ages, races, gender identity, EVERYBODY.. TO ALWAYS FIGHT AND TO ALWAYS REMEMBER TO LOVE YOURSELF. This is an amazing, talented and RARE group of young gentlemen. They are the most famous musicians in the world right now for all the right reasons. This is why us ARMYS are so devoted and dedicated to them. ❤❤

Anyone could be a fan of BTS. They make good music.Full stop. When you have 7 active participants in the music making process, you get a variety of genres, beats, subjects. There's something for everyone. But please turn on the Eng captions next time. What sets BTS apart is they often cover subjects that aren't just superficial or inconsequential. And they have done this CONSISTENTLY since they began in 2013 from a place of sincerity. BTS is far beyond "kpop". And their music may be pop influenced, but there's plenty of it that is more heavily hip hop or rock influenced. "kpop" is SUCH a mis-label in this case.

4 vocalist and 3 rappers. They are true rags to riches including the company they come from BigHit. One bedroom 7 members. They deserve everything they've gained. And try using the Captions(CC) next time so it would be a little better understanding.

You definitely need to watch with subtitles! BTS are great, check out 'Mic Drop' as has been previously suggested or 'The Truth Untold', 'Ddaeng' if you like rap or a totally pop tune 'Boy in Luv', they do all sorts of genres - and the dance practices are brilliant!

BTS is really big. They're really talented (not only do they dance and sing/rap, but also write and co-produce most of their songs) and versatile, their songs and MVs are amazingly well produced and conceptual. In order to get to know them better, I'd suggest the following 3 MVs: "Blood, Sweat & Tears", "MIC Drop" and "Fire". Next time, turn captions on so you can understand the lyrics better!

If you look at the “SAVE ME” upside down, it read, “I’m Fine” one of their tracks in a follow up album. Their songs, unlike a lot of K-Pop take on issues such as suicide, the harsh treatment of Korean public schools, and learning to love yourself for who you are and not what society dictates. It earned them a spot on the cover of Time magazine and they even spoke in front of the Untied Nations. They’re not just a boy band from South Korea, but international superstars who’ve done what no other group has done since the Beatles and that’s earn three, number one hits on Billboard in less than a year. Their fandom called ARMY (to which I’m a proud member of) is responsible for most of their successes and it’s one of the biggest fandoms in the world with over 500 MILLION members all over the world.

RM says in the song, Dope; "Is this your first time to BTS?" Welcome!!!! I have never considered BTS KPOP=Bubble GUM. Their lyrics & beats are much harder. I think of it as hip hop pop. BTS started from the bottom. They are people who have worked for everything they have. They haven't been given anything. They were told they would never make it. Fake Love has a lot of symbolism. Basically, you think you can grow a love that is not good for you. Love can drown you. Love can burn you, love can be bad for you. etc. I know I've had fake love before, have you?

Yes, the video has a lot of symbolism. It has a connection with the Bangtan Universe, which spans with several music videos/ songs and other contents too. I appreciate that you really concentrate on the value of the video, but you can also turn on cc if you also want to focus on the lyrics - which will be tricky because then you'd have to split your attention on reading the lyrics and watching the video.
BTS has a wide discography with music videos that you can choose to react to, and sometimes ARMYs would suggest songs depending on what kind of genre you prefer to listen to. They are huge for a reason.
I look forward to seeing you react more to them. And they do have 3 rappers, 4 vocalists in the group - all with distinctive musicalities. Watch a few more videos and their individual projects or songs and you can distinguish their own flavor afterwards. Easier way is for you to watch intro compilation videos. 😁

Watch BTS from nobodies to legends here on RUclips. That’s a great intro to learning about BTS and who they are and it will also answer many of the personal questions you had about the members. Also, their live performances are everything! So amazing! But be careful about copyright strikes.

Recs: DNA, IDOL, MIC Drop, Singularity (V solo), The Truth Untold; Blood, Sweat and Tears, Dionysus
Most of these will have live performances but, while Big Hit generally doesn’t copyright strike their MVs, you’ll need to keep an eye out for strikes on performances. VERY EXCITED

Then watch also their performances during the award shows (MAMA and Melon music awards) in 2016, 2017 and 2018. You will see their artistry and how talented this 7 members of BTS. And to think they create their own music and produce it too.

    Hello!
If you are leaning more towards rap, hip hop, the Mic Drop remix with Steve Aoki and the BTS Cypher series are always a good way to start. There are four cyphers where the rappers of BTS answer to their haters, and there is also a wild live of all the cyphers in concert(bts-cypher madley, memories of 2017).
And then, if you like it, there’s a lot of hip hop, r&b influenced album tracks, so you could get to know the vocalists too.
BTS are very lyrical when they write, so if you like good and meaningful lines, you won’t be disappointed. Have fun with them, maybe learn something new, and if you don’t like them, well, that’s okay too! The boys (7 of them) make music to make themselves, and everyone who wants to listen, happy and inspired, their message is clear and honest, so if it reaches you, you’ll have a great experience with this group.
If you read this, thanks for taking the time.

FUN FACT: BTS have a storyline that runs behind a lot of their music videos as well as other types of content (performances, short films, a book, a webtoon etc). This storyline is copyrighted under the tag BU aka BTS Universe and the 7 young men that make up BTS play 7 fictional characters with their same name in it. This video is part of it. While the Snickers bars may look like product placement, they actually aren't. This video deals the trauma that these characters have gone through. They're trapped into rooms that contain symbols that are connected to their childhood trauma. Jhope, who is lying on Snickers, was abandoned by his mother in an amusement park (as you can see, there are various amusement park items in his room) and she left him with a Snickers bar, which is what she usually gave him when he was being a good boy. I won't go into explaining the storyline because it's a long, interesting journey that's difficult to sum up here and I don't know if you'll read this, but yeah, I wanted to clarify the Snickers thing lol
Death and suicide are themes that are handled into the storyline, by the way, so you weren't that off the mark, although we don't know yet the exact meaning of the figure at the end - just know that's a costume which that the guy who find it wil wear. BTS use this universe to explore difficult themes such as child and domestic abuse, abandonment, depression, anxiety, illness etc
They also made a campaign with UNICEF meant to help young people victims of violence. You can learn more and donate if you want here:
