They paid DJ Webstar (original artist of chicken noodle soup) for about 2.7M US dollars for royalties aka for the copy right of the song and the crazy part is they made a music video for this remake, spend tons of money and yet they released this song for FREE!!! They are from COMPANIES, this is important, so there are three big companies in South Korea, which are SM ent., YG ent. and JYP ent. but there are a lot more. So, to be a kpop idol you have to be a trainee before, you do an audition to a company and then if you're picked by them you will start practicing your skills, singing or rapping, an dancing. Or everything if you're a singer and rapper, but all the idols have to dance so they practice dacing a lot. They do vocal training, rap training, they learn to be on stage, to captivate the public eyes, the facial expressions... You can be trainee even 10 years, so yeah, this is very important. So, in a group there are many positions, main vocal, lead vocal, main rapper, lead rapper, main dancer, lead dancer, center (who is almost always in the center of the choreo because of her/his facial expressions and charisma), face of the group, leader and visual (the one who fits the korean beauty standards). Then, talking about BTS, they are from Big Hit ent., a company that was so small at one time, so when BTS debuted (2013) they weren't famous, they cut their broadcasts and performances, they hateda lot on them and were treated unfair just because they were from a small company, but they are really hard working people so they worked their butts off and got more attention from people. When you're an idol you have a very busy life, you have to work so hard. When they perform they have to sing and dance at the same time which is so difficult, and even if you hear the studio version of a song in their performances they are actually singing/rapping live, but it's hard.
