Dear g. 👍👌👏 Exactly my thought too! I like that blue truck very much. Especially the way it is = looking very powerful because relatively short (and very maneuverable of course). It seems that nearly all other truck lovers want to lengthen every truck (I absolutely always wonder why!) 😁 Best regards, luck and health.
Dear @@claytonbrown7100 Yeah, you are definitely not, Sir. 👍👌👏 Thank you for joining the club! 😁 Some time ago I watched a kind of documentation about a North American truck driver who puts constantly a lot of money for trim, cleaning etc.p.p. into his black truck. This man was rather short but therefore he had lengthend his semi truck ridiculously long. He mentioned that it's now difficult to maneuver but would look so much better! 😂👎 He also lowered his driver seat ridiculously much although he himself is already short. Such a behaviour isn't only ridiculous, it's also very dangerous because he has no overview any more. Additionally it looked ridiculous (from inside and especially outside the cabin). I definitely felt pity/compassion for this obviously inside and outside little guy and stopped the video. Thank God that both ridiculous behaviours are definitely not allowed in Europe respectively Germany. Don't get me wrong: In my opinion anybody is allowed to do with his stuff what ever he likes the most. But this definitely has to stop if other people or somebody himself could be harmed respectively it hurts the rights of others. Otherwise living together on this planet is simply not possible. Best regards, luck and health.
Dear @Cotton Texas I like it too, Sir.👍👌👏 Nevertheless I say: Stretching trucks without any necessarity isn't cool, it simply is ridiculous! It's expensive and afterwards you have a bad maneuverable vehicle. Where is the sense of/by this kind of behaviour? Please see my comment to Clayton Brown also. Thanks in advance. Best regards, luck and health.
I had a 65 BelAir with too many doors, not enough cylinders and a 3 on the tree. Loved that car, fell victim to rust. BTW I wanted to thank you for turning me on to Good Old Waylon. After 47 years of not liking country! Miss the vids, enjoy that vacation!
Short wheel base semi = Good for city work. Those 300" stretches came about through mid western trucks wanting lots more fuel than what would've been considered normal even then.
C'mon really! Bruce has almost 500 subs, running up and down the expressway with a pretty sweet rig! Got a nice lil piece in the back, monster truck and a 5th gen! Going to diesel drag strips! I don't know what you guys got going on but, I gotta get up at 4:30am for work.... Ya that Bruce what a dumbass he is!
AWESOME OLE PETE, buy it TWINSTICK, you can work on it later, These finds dont come around too often as you well know, we sure as heck aren't getting any younger and even if you dont get it finished before your sitting in a rocking chair, you saved one and passed it on to another legacy, you would not lose a dime on this one, they are getting more and more popular here in the Texas area and other lower 48s.
My first truck was a '91 Volvo with a CAT B model set to 425 and an Eaton 13 spd. The truck itself was a turd, but that motor was an absolute gem. Countless miles and years of pulling over mountain passes (Colorado, Utah, Arizona) and she never skipped a beat. Such fantastic motors. Really wish I had the means to keep it when I sold the business. Hearing that Pete fire up brought back a lot of good memories
Bruce might insist that you polish that moose-catcher to a purty shine first first then chrome the wheels and change all the lights to LEDs before attending to the main tasks at hand.
If you can make it work -----go for it! There are not many in Canada who could make a truck like this sing again! It sounded good....... likely not a money pit as many can turn out to be.
"Cabover Pete with a reefer on .. Cum awwn" Actually that Austin truck was one of millions made over here in the UK. They were like everywhere in different guises and of course basic British Army truck in WWII. And @ 09:49 you missed a real gem. A Rover P5 which was HM The Queen's personal choice of car for driving herself about. 3.5 Litre, sheer luxury in the old '60s style. Poor mans Rolls Royce! Cabovers are how we do trucking over here. Very few conventional trucks as we have length restrictions but Scania did the 'T' model until recently and used by bulk hauliers. I owned a few rigs back in the day: From Scania 110 through 140 to a fully loaded 113 Topline, Volvo F12, MAN 360s and 422s . Even two Ford Transcontinentals with Big Cam E 350 engines. Great days, good mates and drivers. Miss them all. I drove trucks until I was 68 and then stupid EU CPC shit came in and I gave up and retired. Now I just annoy folks on RUclips ...Lol
Missed you man! Glad to see you back. We've been Jonesin' for a new vid. Got to thinking you and Peg went out drinkin' potato water together, and who knows when we'd see you again.
It's sad to see that assic car restorers aer a dying breed.. Really made me quite sad when they where selling those classic cars due to hard times.. hopefully this and the next generation will keep this tradition going. If I make it far enough in life I plan to do this aswell. These cars must be saved before they disappear they are a true relic of time and so gorgeous. Very cool how you restore heavy duty rigs too!
"I'm gonna pull a bruce wilson and stretch it" lmao!!! That would be an extremely fun project, tons of aftermarket support!!! I would talk to the wife and get her on board! See if the guy would do asking price delivered, either way what a deal! Don't see many of the V block cats that are healthy
OMG I love it. I'm just fascinated with these big cab over semis I don't know why but I just want one so I can drive it on the weekends I think it'd be a hoot and a great way to relax. Good thing I'm not out there I'd probably bought it!!
Good to see a TwinStick's video. I hope you're enjoying your vacation, from this video I'd say you are. I love this channel and Ezrider as well. You guys do quality work and don't waiver from your content. Thanks so much for these videos. Be safe.
As an old wise man once told me, "Money comes and money goes but you only live once so fuck it why not!" Ive lived by that for awhile now, ive got a lot of my dream cars now plus own my own pete and trailer. I may not be rich but ive still got a roof over my head and a little money in the pocket
I'm glad to see another video out, one of my favorite channels this one. Was wondering after over a month of no Saturday videos, good to hear it's just a vacation. Well deserved.
Get it.... give to Ezra to stretch it and flip it to a good home. It would be a really nice cross over between you and Ezra. Everyone sees the love you guys have for trucks and you know with Ezra you're getting quality work. The other guy is bananas. Can't even finish a job.
Wow, that just brought up some good memories for me. I helped take a couple of chevy's to that museum to be put on consignment around 2000-2001. Where the blue and white chevy is sitting was a 1968 Ford Thunderbird that I nearly bought (and should have.) The vehicles in question that my friend brought there were a 1955 Chevy pickup that he had swapped corvette suspension onto, and a 1965 Corvette stingray (too bad it wasn't a 64.) I did pick up a set of 1964 Ford 260 v8 heads that I planned to use on a 302 - sadly never got around to it though.
I bought my 1962 international crew cab from mike a couple years ago at this point. It only had a couple bad rust spots but it was complete and it was able to run after only a couple hours tinkering.
Buy that 362! That 57 4-door was pretty cool but it is a hard top rather than a post. Kinda tricky to get the alignment right on those. I've got a 57 4-door post. I know you don't like the 4-doors but the good thing is that the vast majority of the parts are the same from the 2-door to the 4-door and you can get into a 4-door for a LOT less money.
That's definitely the "Addition to the Fleet". Only 12 and it's in the Driveway. .how can you not?? An ole shack hauler..certainly in need of a stretch. This is a classy channel, no more mention of the Florida Felon. .Hahaha Look forward to seeing the next "Addition to the Fleet ". Thanks for sharing this video. Middle of August, I'll be out in B.C. I see a couple of vehicles that I've been searching for at this yard .perhaps I will be able to finish off my wish list. Thanks again for your video. Be safe and take care always.
With enough views, likes, and ads watched, we can totally guilt him into buying this with RUclips revenue and live vicariously through him! Go TwinSticks!
You really need to talk to the owner of the cabover, and talk the OBO part of that sign. You need that truck! I don't even have trucks and I need that truck! I'm loving the interior (clean up required of course). Have fun explaining that one to the wifey. LOL! Regards, Solomon
Love to see you do some videos in Australia of our cab overs. K104, K108 and K200s rule the roads here. Plus we've got heaps of older cab over Kenworths. We have a lot of Euro stuff here too, but nothing beats the Kenworths in my opinion. I'm driving a T401 with a c12 in it, first semi job I've ever had. Gotta be said the c12s sound pretty nice, especially the jakes.
That explains why I hate driving down to the coast from Prince, too many damn wrecking yards on the way down and way too much temptation. If I did the drive "properly" it would take me a week to get down below...lol Stay Safe thanks for the share!
Awe man, was sure hoping you’d buy that cabover and stretch it, they are awesome looking, and few of them are on the roads, at least here in the states. Glad to see a video, enjoy your vacation and stay safe! 👍😀
You're sitting on a gold mine with your " Big Dreams,Empty Pockets " comment. Put that on a t-shirt, and almost every man in America would buy one!!
Shirts and Hoodies now available on teespring.com/stores/twinstick-garage-store

Big dreams and empty pockets? so I'm not the only one 👍
"Big dreams and empty pockets." That's why I'm subbed to your channel! ; )
"Big dreams an empty pockets". Well we all know the feeling.
That short cabover looked cool being so short 👍
Dear g.

I agree 100% 300" stretch would be dumb
Finally I'm not the only one tired seeing these ridiculous stretched frames.

I'm so so glad you're going to rescue a cabover yes love it.
Short wheel base semi = Good for city work. Those 300" stretches came about through mid western trucks wanting lots more fuel than what would've been considered normal even then.
Don't let Bruce touch it!
Bruce the Butcher!!!!
J D He would take it apart and then buy another one!
I wouldn't let him stretch a pair of roller skates.

That's no shit. Then he can begin to stretch the frame to a 386.42" wheelbase. LOL
Bruce is awesome to watch!
Gotta have an idiot to laugh at🤣😂
Please dont give that hack the time of day. He doesn't know how to finish a project.
Actually. .look at what TwinStick has done without all those sponsors. . Now that's Real Class and Talent!
Certainly one Classy Channel!
@@kozy41 Cheers Bro!!

I've always liked the looks of the old Ford cab overs. I've had small scale toy Ford truck, now I have a Ford (toy) cab over with a Kmart trailer.
I love it this truck's
💗💗💗💗💗💗
That's one sweet old Pete! Thanks for taking us along on your old iron hunts!
The sensible thing to do is to go ahead and buy it and add another project to the list then after that build a bandit Trans Am.
I really agree with you on the old ford restoration, love them old cabover fords, could put a 12 valve and 5 speed in it ;)
I love cab over classics.

Enjoy your vacation glad to see new content
Watched multiple times. But hadn’t thought about the constant road noise haunting those poor cars.
Go for it Twinsticks. She is a nice looking 362 for sure.
this is fantastic
The short wheelbase makes the truck.... hate stretched frames! That thing’s a beast the way it sits.

That cab over would be a perfect addition to the fleet you currently have. Would look nice with a tidy up.
I’ve never seen a cab over with an air ride setup like that, it’s very interesting.
She’s an absolute beauty!
That Pete hauled my Manufactured Trailer to Dease Lake in 2008. The guy new his stuff moving shacks. Cool to see it again.
Thanks for the walk around, enjoyed the video.
Do it! you know you want to, just let it happen
Great channel keep doing videos.
I’d let Ezra stretch it for you when his summer work slows down and you could do his interior refurb in exchange on old red👍
Watched him do his own Top quality workmanship Excellent results 👍
I love cab overs and that length would be perfect over here in the UK but I too dont need anymore trucks lol and it is definitely a addiction

That guy that had the bronco from speed, his character name was Jack Traven
I think that Pete looks kinda badass with the shorter base
That 50s ford is my dream truck
I’d buy that if I had ur money for sure. Such a beautiful truck
I'm crying I don't have $12k in discretionary cash now. I'd be all over that like a bear on a honeycomb.
Best wishes
i will love to see you do a cabover
I kinda like the short frame. Tight turning is what cabinets do best.

You clearly need this in your life! That way you'll have a matching set of Blue Petes.
I remember Sears in Southern California had a bunch of those Ford trucks growing up.
oh oh oh i drive passed that cabover 6+ times a day, been thinking of getting it the restore for my truck. please buy it before i do
That Corvair Pickup is real unusual!
