Katherine Howard in glasses was something i didnt know i needed 😍
Right!!???? What a rock star!!!! In sooo much pain and still went on..... sitting, glasses and all! 💪👑💖
She's so amazing for going onstage at all with not one, but TWO broken ribs. But also this is what happens when you only have two understudies who cover three roles each, thankfully they have a third one now.

Tbh, they usually only need two. Even when Adriana had to cut her time short in Chicago, Mallory went on once as Boleyn and no other role. Nicole played Aragon the rest of that engagement without the production having swing problems. Broadway has seen more absentees but only 2/3 swings have been on stage at one time. I love Courtney Mack but in all honesty she's probably there to relieve the work load. They didn't need a third alt, it was just a nice thing to have.

@@josephcarlisle1943 It's a pretty regular occurrence to have more than 2 understudies on at a time in London. They need 4 over there, even 5 at one point because so many queens kept getting hurt or sick.
@@willcohen1031 Yeah, I know. Broadway so far hasn't really had that issue. In previews there were only two swings on at most. That doesn't mean it might not be an issue in the future. They just don't have any other north american productions to pull from so they would probably have to hire more if it was an issue.
I got to see this November 15 in Edmonton and i have a story:
So in the musical, Kathrine Howard says "I'm so hot" and me in dead silence of the theatre, i siad and i quote "you can say that again." Everyone heard me including the actors

I was dissapointed when they said concert version at the beginning because I was expecting it to be a boring performance tbh but they absolutely killed it still !

Wont lie I teared up a little when Britt went to dance next to Sam while she sang. You can feel the sisterhood these ladies share, its so heartwarming

Anna at the end 😭 She’s so sweet. Got the chance to talk to her after the show in Chicago, and thank her for sharing her talents with the world. I saw her in the revival of Once On This Island, and she was spectacular in that as well. Such a huge fan.

Sadly no. We had to cancel the trip. But the second it’s safe and we are allowed back to theatre and on international flights... we will be booking! 😞😷🙏🤞💜👑

Poor Sam, I felt so bad she couldn’t get up and dance around but she wanted to be there. I loved this cast so much they are always there for each other.
The fact that the people running the follow spots knows who is singing instead of positioning it were they normally are! It was also good to see the lighting cue spots not being in the right positions 😂 Anyway Samantha Pauly is an amazing singer and she is my idol ❤

Sorry, but do any of you know why Nicole didn't go on for Seymour or Howard. I know she is the Parr/Aragon/Cleves alternate but don't they learn all six tracks?
Great question! Nicole is contracted to cover Parr/Cleves and Aragon. We asked her that same question and she said she would of gladly went in. Alas contracts are contracts! Thanks for watching! ✌️👑💖🎟

Sadly it’s not set to tour because it’s broadway bound next.... BUT we can hope and pretty much guess tours will happen some day!

1) I thought there was no alts in the US productions
2) I thought they changed the lyrics so they didn’t say ‘you’re gonna wanna film this’ and then Parr took the phone on stage

Great insight and we thought the same thing until we chatted with Mallory and Nicole. Courtney wasn’t with them in Edmonton and Nicole (sadly!) was only contracted to cover Aragon, Cleves and Parr at the time. Believe us she sooo badly wanted to go in! But yeah, the show was fantastic regardless and we felt honored we got to see these queens slay!!!
