Hey are those the #D Maxpider floor mats? If so where did you get them and how do you like em?

Let me help everyone here. Heat a large bowl of soapy water for 4-5mins let the brake pedal soak in the hot water for about 30-45sec maybe a full minute. the rubber is now soft enough to fold over. Start from the top down>The rubber is soft enough to fold out the bottom > flip over the pedal. Took 1min tops.

For anyone in 2021, soaking the break pedal in hot, soapy water is still the best method. I did the opposite of what he does in the video and started from the top, to the sides, then the bottom. Finishing with the bottom flap was easier because you have more space to work with. Didn't need tools, but I can see how having those "surgeon" tools in the video would be helpful. I got lucky on my first try but if you get frustrated just put it back in hot water and start over.

After 45 minutes of what quite possibly might’ve been the hardest task of my life i have a few tips for you guys.
    1) hold the pedal over the stove for a few seconds(not too close to the flame) to make the rubber ma liable
    2. Setup a miror behind the pedal to see what needs to be pryed (i used my phones front facing camera)
    3) use something thinner than a flathead screwdriver

Rydin N Style hahaha great idea! I spent so much time at the dealership (6 hours) that day that when it was time for me to finally leave, I didn’t think about anything else but getting out of there. I haven’t posted any videos of the Hellcat yet because I’ve only had it for a few days... but I’ve already put quite a few hours of work into it. I spent several hours removing the two ridiculous racing stripes and buffing out the residual lines, changed the air filter, completely detailed it (dealership did a horrible job), changing out the badges to the red ones tomorrow. After trying to put on the brake pedal cover for an hour without success, I found something that worked for me. I brought some water to a boil and took it off the burner. I put the pedal cover into the super hot water for about 10 minutes. After that, I got it on the pedal in 5 minutes. The hot water made the rubber much more pliable and manageable.

Pro Tip: Had mine on in 5 min. Use your cellphone front facing camera. You can see exactly where you need to pry with the screw driver. I thought mine was fully on until I broke out the camera to check and sure enough most of the top and the corner was still not on.

I got mine on in about 5 minutes with no hot water. I think it would have been easier with the hot soapy water method, but I was lazy and wanted to try it dry first. I worked it on from the bottom first, then the right side, then used my fingers to pry across the top from right to left and up the left side from bottom to top. It took a few minutes, but I finally got the top left corner to snap in. Very happy with them and thanks for this demo video!

Save yourself the hassle and pain by using a HEAT GUN. Heat up the rubber on the back to make it pliable then quickly start working your way bottom to top. It should take 5 minutes or less to do it this way. You can also spray some soapy water on the metal brake pedal itself to aid as lubrication.

I just did these tonight on my SRT Durango. At first, I did it as the instructions says and couldn't do it. Being a female, I ended up using my hair blow dryer to heat up the rubber of the brake pedal for a few seconds on each side. Dip it in the soapy water. I used a wider flat screw driver. Started from the top, then ended up propping the lower right corner last. Phew! Some work!!

I have lost all feeling in both my pointer fingers and have cursed for about a good half hour straight. I read through comments and they somewhat helped. Combined them. Gotta coffee cup threw the shit in there and poured some hot water in. Let it sit, flipped it around a bit. Then hot potatoed it outside. I started top to bottom, get the top and sides over and then reach in the bottom and pull like you're life depended on it. I smashed my fingers between the brake pedal and cover bur I couldn't get it on any other way. In retrospect its probably best if you get the left side on, and then move around to the passenger side and pull the rest on. It's a small space and the steering wheel just adds even more frustration. The gas pedal was great in comparison.

I installed mine by soaking the pad in a hot bowl of water for a minute. First I got the right side slipped over and that top corner then the bottom followed by the left side with the help of a shorty flat blade screwdriver. The top is real hard but once you get the top twp corners worked over it is just a matter of prying the rest of the top lip over with the shorty. Each side gets progressively harder to install. I went to the middle area of the top lip and worked it over then just fight the rest over. You have to get up on top of it dude and be all man with it but it's really nice when your done. Thank God the gas pedal is easier. I did not have enough left in me if they both would have been that hard. One battle wound later and done. Took me about 5 - 8 minutes on the brake pedal cover install after figuring what order worked best for me. You have to keep pressure on the pad along the way while your working it on so it does not come back off during the process. Soap might make it easier or a small piece of kite string loaded into the pad and used to pull the lips around kind of like a window rubber. Did not try these two methods but after thinking more about it may be worth a shot. Good luck guys.

GREAT ADVICE FOR THE BRAKE PEDAL!! 4reals, Ur attitude about patience & perseverance is an awesome outlook and should be utilized in all of life's challenges. Nothing feels better than to finish what you started and then saving $50 dollars from paying another man for doing what should be something one can do for oneself. Unless one has back trouble, than I can see paying labor chargers at A dealership or maybe ask A friend or family member. I just bought A 2019, 1320 scat pack and the same covers came in A box that was in my trunk. They look better, but now I get why the salesmen at the dealership didn't bother to tell me about them because I would of said "putting them on since I just handed you A cashier check for $45K".

I simple put the break pedal in bowling water for a 1minute and 40 seconds and right away take it out of the bowl and attempt to put it on. Put the top on first and with a little bit of force pull the rubber of the bottom 2 edges and wiggle it on. Took 3 minutes and got it on. The pedal will be a bit hot so I recommend using gloves when installing so it does not burn your hand.

Heat up a large bowl of soapy water for 4-5mins amd let the brake pedal soak in the hot water for about 30-45 secs. Rubber is now soft enough to fold over. Start from the top down - The rubber is soft enough to fold out the bottom - flip over the pedal. Took 1 minute.

I ordered a $29.95 vs $51+ pair, not an original (Mopar) part off Amazon and the install on my 2014 Ram was easier, looks great with less frustration. I soaked them in soapy water for 15 mins and put them on. They are aluminum and appearance wise the same. May want to check it out before expending those dollars.

Installed the overlays today. I started doing it with no tools or anything and started with the brake pedal first. It was difficult and about 5 minutes into it the landscapers showed up and I had to stop and close up the car.
I went and started to boil some water and then put the brake pedal in the pot along with some dish soap. Had the brake pedal in the pot for just a few minutes and installed it. Was much easier too install with no tools and took about 9 minutes. Just need to be a little patient and work the rubber around the pedal.

Just a heads up with what I did. Took me five minutes to do this and install.
If you have a steaming iron. Place the brake pad on top of a towel with the rubber part facing up, and apply hot steam from the steaming iron in order to soften the rubber from the pad. Do this for about 30 sec -45 sec and be careful not to burn yourself. This will allow you to open up the rubber extremely easy and installation will be smooth. After you apply hot steam to the pad, make sure the pad is not burning hot before you pick it up. Try to install the pad immediately while the rubber is soft. Once the brake pad is installed, grab a big bowl of ice water and dip the entire brake pad for about 30-45 sec. This should harden up the rubber again to where it was when you received the item. After that just dry the whole pad, and make sure it’s installed correctly. Took me less 5 mins to put the pads on.

Just put these on a 18 Challenger- Wasn't to difficult - Gas Pedal just snaps on easy. the Brake Pedal needs to soak in hot soapy water for a little while . Gas Pedal went on with just my hands, no screwdriver needed. Start on the top and then work sides and bottom. Be careful the metal brake pedal is pretty sharp.

Thanks for the video, the instructions are worthless, lots lots of patience. I use a computer screwdriver it was easier to manage in the area around the pedals.
I put the brake pedal in hot water for a minute; this softens the rubber. Once I had the three sides in place starting from the bottom as suggested. I used the computer screwdriver to leverage the rubber over the metal from left to right. Once I figured it out it did not take me long to install.
