    Thank You Bob for posting these great old T V Shows. These shows wont fix the condition America is in right now, But for those of us who remember how things were before it certainly helps ease the pain and adds hope that things will get back to normal.

    Wonderful to read the comments on the music, both pro and con. Gerald Fried also composed the score for a number of Wagon Train episodes (and also, but non-Western, Stanley Kubrick's early films, and many other TV shows and movies).

    I love the opening for this show. Watching this ep. reminds me of also watching eps. of The Deputy--same jazzy music and narraration. Coincidentally both show are made by Revue Studios too.

    Good show 8-)
    Interesting format, with the music and narration more akin to an old spy thriller rather than a western. Reminded me of the Route 66 theme.
    Enjoyed it. Thanks for uploading.

    These old westerns always had a problem with shotguns. They loved to show them but always resorted to bullets being fired instead of the sound and damage a shotgun causes.

    Shotgun Slade really out to be named Birdshot Slace because the only way Slade didn’t blow the guys hand right off would be if he filled his shotgun shells with bird shot.

      If I hadn't seen the opening, I would've assumed Slade was driving a car, then pulling over to shoot towards the camera, strike a serious pose, then get back in his car and drive onwards.

    • @greatbyrondo
      @greatbyrondo 4 года назад

      @@briankeller788 ....From what I understand, the show creators were trying to make Shotgun Slade different from the many Westerns of the day.... So they made the hero a private eye (instead of a sheriff) gave him a specially designed shotgun and provided a jazz sound track...
