Daniil is just different from any tennis player I've ever seen. You never really know what drives him, or how he's going to react to a win or loss. He thrives off negative energy. He clearly hates to lose more than he loves to win, but when he loses he never seems upset. He's somehow nonchalant and ruthless at the same time.
Daniil is a lovely guy,He is honest ,kind , very intelligent, discipline and a very frank person who will say what he feels. He is still young enough to go through becoming the greatest player. I wish him all the best in his career He too is my favourite.💖
Love you so much Daniil. I didn't celebrate hard Novak's win today just because he won against such an amazing character and fierce competetor. Respect and much love for you from Serbia, hope you win a lot of Grand Slams, just not against Novak 😅❤
What a Sportsman! Lots of respect for Medvedev. His attitude is great & that of a winner! He'll win more Grand slam titles. Well done Medvedev & all the best
As Novak fan, I felt sorry for Meddy here. He beat Carlos by playing 12 out of 10, as he said it himself, and expected more of himself in this final, but it's just tough to play that incredible 2 matches in a raw. Plus, Novak is more experienced than any one of them, and can vary his game in so many ways that when he is focused and fit 100% it's really almost unsurmountable task to beat him in a 3/5 match. In any case, Danil should be happy with the strategy he came up with to decisively defeat Carlos, and that he's now an undeniable part of the New Big 3.
Thanks for your nice words, as a Meddy fan, I'm so disappointed as I know how much he wants to win a second Grand Slam. But Djokovic just outplayed him. Many said he should hit "down the line" at the break point at 6-5, I watched it in slow motion, when Meddy ran to the ball, he was already late and the ball bounced off to the green zone, as a double hand backhander, he didn't have any choice with that racket angle, cross court is the only one if he needed to put the ball back into the court. Djokovic read his game so well, and Meddy didn't have enough weapons or energy to handle his attack. Of course, his path to final is very tough, Baez, a guy on the rise with three APT titles, DeMinaur, another guy on fire and his tough match up, Rublev in heat wave, then Alcaraz. On the other hand, Djokovic was playing a guy out of 100 in Quarter final, and an inexperienced kid just in 50 a few weeks ago.
@@tamnatalie3 He had a very tough road to the final. After that exhausting match with Rublev, I was very surprised but extremely pleased that he played such a wonderful match against Alcaraz. It is what it is. It's tennis.

I give Daniil a lot of credit for playing against Novak because it is not easy. I'm sure it was very stressful physically and mentally but he hung in there. He's still a great player because I've watched him play and win a lot of matches and today was not one of his best performances for sure.
Medvedev, I love you very much, you had a difficult time because of the war in your country, but please do not play with fear of Djokovic, because only you and Alcaraz can beat him. Besides, you deserve a second grand slam, you know that.
Congratulations! Great interview - a great player! And a great sportsman! I became a supporter through this tournament through watching him and listening to him.
Just couldn’t keep up with the machine of mental toughness, Novak. He will get him sometime this year but this one hurts. Could’ve made history by winning three top players in one slam + winning both Carlos and Novak in any tournament sounds like a never achievable milestone Daniil could’ve reached today. Kudos to Novak, he was indeed clutch today
"sometimes tennis is not that easy"....understatement of the century! What a great personality...he'll be back many times as a Champion! I feared when he lost the 2nd set he was mentally done and he sort of said that. It's almost impossible to forget the score and stay positive and come back 0-2 to tie and then win.....that is the lesson if any. How do you play great when you think it's over?
Respect to Med. It felt like once he lost the tiebreak in set 2, the match was over. I'm sure he'll be in the latter stages of slams for many more years to come.
He should have won the second set as he said. He had set point and a pretty easy pass down the line that was wide open and sitting there, but he guided the ball cross court right to Novak. That was such a huge mistake but Novak deserved the win and outplayed him in the first and 3rd sets.
Big respect for Danii M in this tournament. Bad luck today but that's tennis as you say. A couple points here and there, and it could have gone your way. Keep your head up and you'll get him next time!
Amazing atmosphere, to be actually there as a proverbial "witness to history" being made (and I can only imagine what the scene will be like in Australia four months from now, when Novak looks to become the all-time record holder at 25 slams) - but kudos to Medvedev for making Novak earn it (3 hours 17 minutes in 3 sets). Medwed will definitely not be stuck with one slam

Being a Novak fan it was a heartbreaking loss in the tie breaker for Medvedev who should be regarded as part the top “the big four” in this era.. and the way he took out the #1 for Novak..🔥
He had a much tougher draw. After beating Alcaraz, it is difficult to do it again. Djokovic had a very easy draw. Fritz who only won 2 sets out of last 7 meetings, and a rookie Ben S. is so green as a player. Medvedev clearly was nervous at the beginning and should have won the 2nd set.

Thanks for asking - perhaps you'll be inspired to dig deeper as I have been in my efforts to understand the Ukraine conflict.
@@babbsc3272 this is one of the best comments I've read about the subject! And you are absolutely right!
The US has invaded other countries and infiltrated their governments and toppled others! Maybe Americans athletes shouldn't have their flags up either... if they followed their own rules!
Danills the hero of his country. A true gentleman and a worthy opponent. His approach to the match was of a high standard and look forward to him lifting a few cups at Grand Slams. Viva Russia 🇷🇺
I give Daniil a lot of credit for playing against Novak because it is not easy. I'm sure it was very stressful physically and mentally but he hung in there. He's still a great player because I've watched him play and win a lot of matches and today was not one of his best performances for sure.
Daniil is such a refreshing personality, I really enjoy his interviews, press conferences or other
Such an authentic guy.He def the 2nd best player on hc. Hope he gets to win atleast andy & stans number of gs 🤞🙌
Hasn't Roger won 5 straight us opens?
@@scottbrightwell1750 yeah incredible stat 👌
@@NR-ov6po 3 point of view 3 kings all great champions celebrate tennis .we will never see this again.
No he isn't. Carlos is a better hard court player than him . Alcaraz isn't losing in hard court slams to losers like korda kyrgios
Authentic - Novak called him . That match w his friend in heat humidity -150% warrior . Upsetting Carlitos - love Medvedev ❤
True!
He seems such a nice person. I hope there will be some grand slam titles for him in the future.
Medvedev, I love you very much, you had a difficult time because of the war in your country, but please do not play with fear of Djokovic, because only you and Alcaraz can beat him. Besides, you deserve a second grand slam, you know that.
Даня, у тебя еще и путь к финалу был сложнее. Гордись❤
Great Ambassador for Tennis…such a wonderful person
This guy has really matured over the past few years. All tennis fans should support him. Can't wait to see him win again!
Respect to Med. It felt like once he lost the tiebreak in set 2, the match was over.
I'm sure he'll be in the latter stages of slams for many more years to come.
That was do or die tie break. It's a must win. He tried but Joker was just better.
He should have won the second set as he said. He had set point and a pretty easy pass down the line that was wide open and sitting there, but he guided the ball cross court right to Novak. That was such a huge mistake but Novak deserved the win and outplayed him in the first and 3rd sets.
His just not on the same plane as the 3. 🐐🐐🐐
We love you in New York, Daniil! Bravo on another spectacular US Open!
Huge Respect for this man ❤️🙇
Bravo, Daniil! Such a nice and entertaining person.
Maddie a heartwarming person,,you are champion in our heart
Such an authentic and warm personality on and off the court, one of the real ones, Daniil!
He's a fraud pusher . Will never win another slam
@@Fraudkovic ?
Big respect for Danii M in this tournament. Bad luck today but that's tennis as you say. A couple points here and there, and it could have gone your way. Keep your head up and you'll get him next time!
Amazing atmosphere, to be actually there as a proverbial "witness to history" being made (and I can only imagine what the scene will be like in Australia four months from now, when Novak looks to become the all-time record holder at 25 slams) - but kudos to Medvedev for making Novak earn it (3 hours 17 minutes in 3 sets). Medwed will definitely not be stuck with one slam
We love you Daniil! You did all you could! Next time❤
Super competitor and humble guy!! Refreshing to see guy like daniil after Shelton
refreshing attitude and honesty .great competitor.
Даня, любим❤❤❤
Эта пресс конференция в миллион раз приятнее для болельщика, чем прошлая на AO22😅

Novak is my countryman, but I love this guy. Why can’t they all be down to earth like him and kyregos and not be so proper.
Being a Novak fan it was a heartbreaking loss in the tie breaker for Medvedev who should be regarded as part the top “the big four” in this era.. and the way he took out the #1 for Novak..🔥
agree, I'm not sure if Novak would have had it so easy playing Alcaraz in the final!
Felicidades Daniil! Vas creciendo y por algo estás entre los 3 mejores! Nos agradaste mucho como jugador y como persona! 🎾👏🏻
Genuine personality....even Nole acknowledged that in his speech. There's a few 1K event to win and close out the year.
Daniil we in Serbia love you.❤❤❤
I love him ❤. He has depth.
Go daniil!! Wishing you more success in the future
Grand Danill! I love your honesty and transparency also in defeat. This makes you a great man first of all but also a great player. Bravo!!
love this guy
He had a much tougher draw. After beating Alcaraz, it is difficult to do it again. Djokovic had a very easy draw. Fritz who only won 2 sets out of last 7 meetings, and a rookie Ben S. is so green as a player. Medvedev clearly was nervous at the beginning and should have won the 2nd set.
Happy Anniversary Meddy🎉🍷🍾. Mad respect to you, wishing you will win more slams not settling for 1 only. If No1e will not win GS, it should be you DM. All the best for the rest of the season, and 2024🙌🤟 might be your season to have a GS Trophy🙃🤸♂️😊.
I find it so weird people hate on him. He ckmes across as very down to earth and likeable
He made me get into tennis. He is so entertaining and different from the regular show off athletic guy. Authenticity is so rare.
He was at his best when he played Carlos! Today he seemed like he had no energy left
agree! It sure would have been more difficult for Novak against Alcaraz in the final, I'm quite sure!
When he was laying on the ground, man you could tell so many battles had taken a toll on him. There is a reason he only fell behind Novak in the us open.
The match was very close even though it appears one sided when we see the score card. Danil became impatient. The greatest quality of players like Djokovic is they have enormous patience.
