@@mundaneamazingnot really. The us is so big and most states are so landlocked that it’s not really a necessity. It would make sense for nev and kamie because they live in California and their job is to deal with lots of different people, but most people don’t have the time to develop a second language when it’s not something they need to survive.

If he was in the US that’s less believable but in South America it can be hard to get a good phone/camera especially if you don’t have a good job. In 5 years he could have made an effort no doubt but that’s not a horrible excuse

The world opens up for you when you speak other languages. I learned a bit of Punjabi and know I can find friends anywhere in the world if I look for a Singh or Kaur. I even ended up marrying a Punjabi guy who came to town as a tourist. I asked him to teach me new words in exchange for showing him the sights. We got stuck together when the pandemic hit and flights were grounded. He was supposed to go on to Paris but lives in New York now.

Idk how ppl didn’t know that💀 Especially with everything she’s mixed with and how involved she is with each of her cultures. Now Nev, I believe it with production. Alysia said to never ever send money because that's buying love. That's just not true. Not all online relationships are Catfish. Honestly, best relationships I've had started online. Not from dating sites or anything. It was from hobbies we'd have in common, start talking, etc. You can get to know people better that way, if you still treat it like a normal relationship. Like I said, sending money ain't the problem. If it's a scam,you should have recognized that long before.

What I never get with these episodes is how the people would refuse to video chat with their so-called spouses but are so happy and willing to video chat/meet up with the Catfish crew 🥴
Catfish pays the participants. That’s why people who are doing embarrassing things are even willing to go on camera. They also don’t pay them until the end and it’s all based on their participation which is why the catfish are always so down to meet the following day to go back over things even if they already have seen that the show is making them look awful from the first meet-up.

That first guy stringing things along for 10yrs.... AND THEN THE CHICK stuck with it after he said she nags too much and loves her "as a friend".

Oh i remember the first one! They wrong for gaslighting and ganging up on Danny when she was obviously the problem. The fact that she straight up came out with "so I'm the bad guy" and all that other manipulative crap. They didn't call her out on any of it.
What did she do? Still acting all distant wasn’t good on his end
But he did string her along and played with her
@@brennathecatlover4360 it was friendship on his end. No more. No less. She wanted more. She acted like he had her waiting on him, but not only was that not the case, she had kids during that time. So who was she "waiting" on or "getting strung along " by? She painted this lovey dovey story but when she was talking to him, you saw none of that. It may be due to me having to go through similar with a woman, but it was easy to read between those lines. She was trying to pressure him into something he didn't want. He was standing on saying he didn't want it, even when she was trying to be manipulative and combative. When that didn't work, she started crying, Nev and Kamie started piling on and defending her, then he caved. They cut all of that from this clip, obviously, but yeah. The three of them were gaslighting him hard and he changed up just so they wouldn't make him look like an asshole on TV. He wasn't stringing her along. She wasn't waiting for him. They trauma-bonded online when they were younger. There's always a sense of guilt when a person is moving on from someone they trauma-bond with, as it should be. That's not healthy. Every time he tried to move on, she preyed on that guilt.
Flip the tables and let Danny be in her position and she in his. He claims to have loved her but went and had kids with someone else. He tries to blame it all on her. Then, when she tries to explain what's keeping her from moving to the next level, he said "oh so I'm the bad guy" and all this other stuff to invalidate what she's saying. You guys would be calling him a creep and abusive. Then, after they got Danny to cave, reluctantly saying "maybe there's something here" (not words someone says if they wanna be with a person), she IMMEDIATELY started acting like he was crawling back, begging for her favor. Tears immediately stopped. She's toxic.

Why, whenever it's revealed that a woman is at fault, people still go "oh well they both did wrong". That's crazy. He told her he didn't want anything more. There's quite a few of these "catfish" that don't be wanting relationships or anything more than friendship and have communicated that. If it's a woman saying it, the guy gets ridiculed. If it's a dude saying it, oh he's strnging them along. The only one I've seen them be fair about was when it was two girls and the "catfish" was no longer attracted and didn't want anything more. She told Kamie that and told the girl that. She started crying, trying to guilt her and told Nev and Kamie they decided to work it out, when it was a lie.
So tell me, if Danny told her he doesn't want to lose their friendship, has said he didn't want it to go any further, has made no effort to go see her, said he didn't want her to come see him and didn't want to video chat until Catfish started calling up his people and disrupting his life, so he was practically bullied into it, how is that stringing her along? Even in the short clip here, he flat out said he didn't want anything more and gave an example, and she immediately proved his point. The example was she called him in the middle of the night "just to talk", when he was sleep and had to get up for work. He asked her not to. She flipped out and started arguing. As he told that story, she said she didn't do that, but flipped out and started arguing!
Then, if she was "waiting" and getting strung along, how is it she had kids in the mean time? Because she wasn't waiting or getting strung along. She was out there getting involved. He would just check in on his FRIEND and SHE would decide to end her relationships just because they were chatting. This is all on her. Stop trying to make other people responsible for the actions of another person, an adult at that.

Well, I'm venezuelan, and when I saw the whole story I knew Fernando was just full of lies. Venezuela is a really difficult country to live in, but I know he just took the money and spent it and was just using Pamela, bless her heart, what a wonderful woman. I was gone keep this to myself as to keep this post positive, but just in case you run off wondering about Pamela and Fernando, his passport ended up being "delayed" so they waited 2 more weeks. Eventually he got the passport but he did not come see her. I'm not sure if he came to the US or not because I didn't care to research any updates about him after finding out he was just B.S.ing her on here. Super weak and if you're desperate to come to the states, sure... and watch how everyone else treat you. If he's already here, I'm sure he'd appreciate how sweet Pamela is because people are ruthless and uncaring world wide.
So, as far as I know, Fernando never did show up for Pamela. As I suspected. He left her hanging again, it appears.

Oh my god stephanies case was terrible. She had relationships with plenty of real life men, but broke it off for someone she not only had never seen or met, but he also lives on the other side of the country?? Thats so terrible not only for herself but for her kids too. My mom used to bring around plently of guys whether they were friends or boyfriends but it confused me. Being a young kid without a father is challenging and when all you want is a fatherly figure, it hurts. Stop bringing your kids around men *YOU* dont even know. And the way she gaslit a perfectly good man into making him things hes this terrible "bullshitting" guy because he couldnt facetime her sucks. Even as a 16 year old now, there are times im too busy to even text someone back even for days or even the days I just dont feel like texting anyone. Im not an adult and I dont have a full time job but I understand people are busy and yeah it sucks, but to push it is even worse and its a terribly shitty thing to do. And I completely understand why he only sees her as a friend because even on the zoom call she was so painfully ignorant to talk to even after he said sorry and tried to explain himself. As a single mother she should be doing better for herself and even better for her kids. Seems like shes focusing more on relationships than her own kids.
