- Brandon Shephard awakes completely isolated on a tiny island in the middle of a vast ocean. With a seemingly eternal supply of sunshine, can this poor soul scrape together enough necessities to survive? With no contact from the outside world, the odds are against him but with a determined mind, he must learn to face his challenges head-on.

wow i feel old i remember waiting for like the 5th episode
Revisiting this thanks to Corona - gotta love sims 3!
I still come back to re-binge watch these videos and challenges.
I've recently discovered your channel and i am loving your LP i'm trying to watch and get caught up on as many as i can but sooooo manyyy episodes lol i'll be at this for months
Okay... here I am AGAIN! Yes... I'm going to watch this LP yet again while you're away. I put a bunch of Sims in my town from the people in chat on your Twitch streams (Sage, Tink, Cas, and others), as well as a bunch of your Sims - which is what made me want to come back here and see Brandon's LP :) Hope you are doing okay. We all miss you!
Came back to watch this amazing LP!! This is by far the best version of this Challenge. It's very true to the rules and doesn't contain a bunch of money cheats or workarounds that other LPers do and then say they don't cheat. LOL And your home turns out AWESOME! I actually duplicated your finished version of it in my game. It took me a long time and TONS of screenshots, but it turned out great and is exactly like yours. :0) I don't share it since it's not mine to share, but when my Sims are in a tropical location I always have it there so they can live in it. It's like living in a piece of your MS Challenge! Love it! Sure miss you, Llandros! Hope you're doing well. xxoo
I had to laugh at this. I can't believe how many cars I actually get. It's absolutely crazy. I even got one for my Aurora Skies LP family! I feel so bad 'cause you haven't gotten one yet, but at the same time, it's just funny how many I get. I'll send you a luxury care package and hope it's something nice. :)

I remember watching this the day your first episode came out and it's almost been a year now wow! Great videos never been disappointed with any of your videos their great!
Your voice is so calming, not like mine on my LP's HAHA
...and paintings. Oh, and I don't think getting in the water will cool him off. It should by realistic standards, but I don't think it will from the game. You could be in trouble unless you can somehow get a roof or something over his head, both from the heat and from lightning strikes. It was so nice of you to mention me in the video too. :) I love how we became friends and it's so cool how it all worked out. :)
Nice to see someone who thinks the same way as me. I don't think you're harsh on your sim, I do pretty much the same, except I make sure they have a nice bed to start with, and is one of the first things I upgrade, because the better bed, the less they need to sleep, and the more they can make, when awake.

Just started watching this, I know it's an old video but your LP makes me really wanna try this challenge! It's seems like such fun torture for your sims. (It also makes me wanna drop the money on sunlit tides just for that shower!)

Missed watching this! Brandon is one cool sim! I hope one day you will carry on with this story! I have started this with my sim but used another island for more room, so here i am gonna watch this again lol... So if can would be cool to see how they are after the very last one, if your file is still good. If do again just use another island,! So gonna enjoy watching it again! happy simming, dawn

I really love this challenge. I made the original founder be a fisherman and then second generation (Current gen) is a Writer. They have over 50,000 simoleons now!

I just started watching a couple of your lp series. This one, and the Haunted Asylum series. I love them so far. The only thing I don't like (and it's not really a negative thing), is the length. I usually don't like watching videos much longer then 20min, because it's a bit harder to block out a 45min time slot simply to watch a video. I just discovered you, and I'm glad I did. I'm overwhelmed by the amount of LPs you have going on at the same time. I'm going to watch them all...eventually.

Oh man, this is going to be awesome!!! Yeah, you're really going hard core - mcuh more so than I ever could with poor Lynette. LOL! I'm glad you're playing it differently than I am, as it gives two different takes on the same challenge. If you get a bunch of the big fish, you can make a bit of money from selling those. Also, you could write some books. You won't make a whole lot of money from it for a long, long time, but it can work. Heck, if tabcasts are avaiable, so is payment from writing...

hey there! i'm new to watching The Sims 3 LPs and i was so curious about this Midnight Sun world! this totally reminds me of LOST and there was a screensaver that came out in the late 90s called Johnny Castaway that i loved so much which is also about one guy living on an island! i can't wait to watch more episodes of this LP! :)
This reminds me of a challenge I used to do in sims 2. the poverty challenge, you took one female sim and put her on the smallest lot and took away all the money, leaving her with 100. After that she could make money by any means except a job, you were unable to move any sims in but she had to have at least one child, I think, it's been a while sense I played it but I always had five or more kids. If your kids made it to uni, you won! They could now escape the horrible crushing poverty.

Very cool! I did sort of challenge with Sims one went from the smallest home to the largest in the game with No cheats... This will be a lot harder But I think it would be a blast! Thanks for sharing!!!

I started this challenge after I saw Sweetnightingale do hers and my sim fished for three days straight....lol. I'm new to the angler skill, so I wasn't sure how the whole bait concept worked. After seeing you show it... it's so obvious! Blonde moment over here! LOL *slaps forehead*.... Didn't even think to plant stuff either! :0)
I love the 70's, 80's and 90's stuff too..My friend asked me when they (my sims) were gonna start moshing or get Saturday night fever. Lol
Was he a Doctor? Was his dad an alcoholic? Was he engaged to a girl who ran? I love Lost too, really good show.

*snickers* Well, your sim is all alone on a deserted island. :)
I love this!! You know to save money you don't even need the shower. Since sims can swim in the ocean it will take care of your hygiene. That also might save you some money :-). Also, I would laugh so hard if all of a sudden in one episode your sim suddenly had the Castaway (think Movie ;-P) hair and beard lol.May the odds be ever in YOUR favor muahahaha :-).
You'll only need World Adventures to complete it. I also recommend having Seasons, it makes it more challenging!

I found a fire pit very useful for this challenge actually because you could roast fish on it to eat (:
A tablet. Called the Multitab 6000, I think. You can buy it from the Sims 3 Store for 500 or so Simpoints (approximately $5).
6:08 OMG It's Leisure Suit Larry with a beard.
Nraas' "Register" mod. It can only be accessed in game via a computer, and will only eliminate/reduce wildlife, strays, wild horses, and townsfolk - will not remove showtime (if installed) randoms. For them you need to activate the "testingcheatsenabled true" cheat, then shift click the undesirable and select "object" then "delete". That can be done without the mod. Many, MANY times...
