Nice work! I have watched a few videos and this is what car audio installation should be; solid, reliable, and enjoyable. I have done quite a few installs in my day but still was able to learn a few trick from you guys. Thank you and keep up the good work, you are doing the industry a great justice.
This is where you separate the rookies from the Pros !!!!! , excellent job guys, first time I seen someone who removes all the seats even the gas pedal to install a stereo. Kudos for this job 👏👏👏 well done 👍
Really like this style of video by you guys... I even like how you guys stop during the fast motion sequences to explain different parts of the install. Very well done! Your "How To" videos are still my fav.
Watching what was previously done in that truck is why I am doing my fifth self-install. Since I don't within a thousand miles of you guys I've little choice...
Ummm, yeah, you're smart. I would work for someone like you. I've always bypassed the factor amp all together and replaced everything down to speaker wire throughout the entire car. but this made me wanna try this on my Audi when I build my system... if I can ever get to it!
Clint L right I thought that stuff was so cool. I stole the idea from Car Audio fabricators RUclips channel. We contacted the company that did it for him and ordered a ton of them. Www.wirecare.com. Plus when your friends or anyone looks at your stuff they know who did it.
Where is the power feed coming through the firewall? Getting ready to install a amp in the titan I just bought, just trying to figure out the best routing
All these 911 videos I've watched look just like all the shop installs up here in Iowa before you fix them and they want 300 plus for installs. I'm about to make the 1000 plus mile trip to get an install done
Any updates on this because I have the same setup myself. I would love to see what these guys would recommend if someone wanted an aftermarket head unit...
I have a 2015 Nissan Titan with the fosgate package and was wondering how to bypass the factory amp so I can add a after market sub? The one it has is to weak.
214puppet if you are just doing a sub. Remove the factory one under the drivers seat. Use a High to low adapter off of the sub wires there. It will work great, just get some like the LP7-2 from PAC
@Five Star Car Stereo, I have the same truck as 214puppet and I would like to pursue your suggestion to remove the stock woofer and put a aftermarket woofer in its place. All I need is the LP7-2 and aftermarket woofer to make it work? I am not knowledgeable on this so I am just making sure I understand.
Is "phase checking" something that comes Standard with all your installs?? Just wondering if could go to any audio shop asked them to a phase check my car.
El_Skippy it is with us, but no. Sadly most installers think they are perfect or just don't care. You can use your phone to do it Android get Polarity Checker iPhone. Speaker pop
i have a hifonix 1600 d Block and in any volume i have it on it cuts on and off no protection mode it stayed cut off today i smacked it and came right back on any ideas
Hector gonzalez I would put a volt meter on it and see what the voltage is when the amp is turning off. It could be a bad or lose ground, fuse holder lose, or the amp is just bad.
When you made your cable to plug into the paa3. Did you connect all 3 pins on the xlr plug? The (+) , the (-), and the shield? Or did you just do the (+) and the (-) to the leads and leave the shield disconnected ?
Regular subs I a regular box will always win. These are audio tools, they get the job done. They are ok and some are really impressive for what they can do in small spaces. Truck life
john holmes depending on location and size 1/8 to 1/4. We have two types of plastic for in the car. Abs and a blow PCV called Sentra. You always have to use Abs under the hood though.
Question. Since the wires going into the mediocre factory amp are low level could I drive the factory amp with an aftermarket stereo? The reason I want to do this is my factory deck is on its way out but I don't want to swap out speakers, etc at this time since I may not keep my '06 for all that long. I'm more than capable of properly splicing in RCA type connections to the factory amp.
Five Star Car Stereo I just want to confirm before I buy. My truck is a 2006 LE Crew with the non navigation RF system that has the sub. Thank you very much for the help.
Lafond RC yes this plug as RCAs on it already, it is made for the Nissan amplified systems. If you have any noise issues, like engine wine, get two Sni1 noise filters.
Thank you for sharing. What upgrade stereo, nav, carplay option do you have for the 2017 Nissan Titan Pro4? I am looking for a bigger and better than stock ( perferrably 9 inch) screen.
Mike Miller funny u say that. I wanna change the factory deck on my 2017 p4x as well to something with apple car play. Great truck but Nissan dropped ball on this one. Put up a video if u do anything. Cheers
I have a 08 titan crew cab with rockford fosgate system. I had a 4200 nex installed but the dash kit I got on amazon was the wrong one? Can you guys point me in the right direction for this? Thanks.
Would like to ask what radio you would recommend, I am original owner of my Titan 2007 LE crew cab with RF system. I need Apple and possible android play. Radio is first speaker would be next as most are sun and heat damaged. Thanks for you time.
I have a 2011 nissan titan im trying to install 2 amp using a lc7i audio control what color wires do i bring from the factory amp to my lc7i audiocontrol to get the right signal for my amps thanks in advance i have the factory rockford system
Hey guys. This is the exact truck and Rockford system I have. I was wondering how to install amps and subs without replacing the stereo unit cuz it would mess with the factory navigation. So how did you guys end up getting the factory line outs converted to rca plugs if you don't mind me asking, and also is there a separate rca going to the factory sub that could be used for a sub amp? Also would you guys be willing to manufacture an adaptor plug to sell? Thanks.
Five Star Car Stereo thanks for the info and response. Do you then just cut the line outs and solder rca plugs right on the ends of the wire? Sorry I'm new to all this.
We installed 2 kicker shallow 10s under the rear seat. He had one there and upgraded to two. The factory sub was not connected to anything, the last shop cut it out.
+jmaslin yes we do a 1-12 Sealed behind the drivers side. We use the Phoenix Gold shallow drive for that. You can order the box from www.brightstarcaraudio.com you may have to call. Ask for Sean and tell them we sent you. They make the box for use special or so they say.

Great job guys , I enjoy watching your videos , I have a titan and am looking to do a system am thinking to do 4 8"midrange voice speakers, 1 per door and maybe 2 flat 10 under the rear seat , would you recommend an 8inch and do you know if it will fit
Did you use a metra GM 70-2003 harness in this video? Thanks for the videos I have learned more on this channel about car audio than everywhere else combined.
don't know who made ti this install but he was lazy and celery laking of common sense I mean my first install looks better no experience but if you look on youtube you can find anything
Nice work! I have watched a few videos and this is what car audio installation should be; solid, reliable, and enjoyable. I have done quite a few installs in my day but still was able to learn a few trick from you guys. Thank you and keep up the good work, you are doing the industry a great justice.
I love seeing a sheisty job redone well! More videos like this one!
Sweet thank you we are planning on it, we are just getting a feel for this type of video.
This is where you separate the rookies from the Pros !!!!! , excellent job guys, first time I seen someone who removes all the seats even the gas pedal to install a stereo. Kudos for this job 👏👏👏 well done 👍

Your "How To" videos are still my fav.
more of these redo vidz. also like it b/c it's regular system upgrade and not one of those extravagant $10,000+ super fancy installs.
Cool will do.
I freaking love redo's regardless if you're doing them or I am. Something about showing the customer how it's done properly.
I love that power distribution block. Good thing you fixed that. I like to see a fuse every time you split out a smaller wire.
Justin Gardner the sad thing is that shop always does it that way.
Five Star Car Stereo A shop did that? I suppose it is safe if the main fuse is sized to protect the smaller wire. But, it is still unprofessional.
Justin Gardner I know right. Well I guess a half roll of tape is pretty safe. Where do they come up with this stuff.
Watching what was previously done in that truck is why I am doing my fifth self-install.
Since I don't within a thousand miles of you guys I've little choice...
nice work guys. I've seen lots of those kinds of installs lol.
Ummm, yeah, you're smart. I would work for someone like you. I've always bypassed the factor amp all together and replaced everything down to speaker wire throughout the entire car. but this made me wanna try this on my Audi when I build my system... if I can ever get to it!
Love the custom Five Star heatshrink. Awesome touch
Damn you guys do some killer work
Clint L right I thought that stuff was so cool. I stole the idea from Car Audio fabricators RUclips channel. We contacted the company that did it for him and ordered a ton of them. Www.wirecare.com. Plus when your friends or anyone looks at your stuff they know who did it.

jmk jmk thank you very much
How much was this job?? Looks like you guys did amazing and a quality job..
Where is the power feed coming through the firewall? Getting ready to install a amp in the titan I just bought, just trying to figure out the best routing
Love seeing the job DONE RIGHT!!
Ian Turney us too, thank you
All these 911 videos I've watched look just like all the shop installs up here in Iowa before you fix them and they want 300 plus for installs. I'm about to make the 1000 plus mile trip to get an install done
how much did you guys charge for that rebuild?
How did you run the cord through the firewall
Just wondering how would you install a system into a Nissan Titan with the nav system.
I'm wondering the same!??
Any updates on this because I have the same setup myself. I would love to see what these guys would recommend if someone wanted an aftermarket head unit...

dank9288639 thank you!
How do you know which is positive and negative on those signal wires coming from the radio?
I have a 2015 Nissan Titan with the fosgate package and was wondering how to bypass the factory amp so I can add a after market sub? The one it has is to weak.

How much for a job like this, I have the exact same truck but it's stock with the RFosgate system.
Is "phase checking" something that comes Standard with all your installs?? Just wondering if could go to any audio shop asked them to a phase check my car.

Hector gonzalez I would put a volt meter on it and see what the voltage is when the amp is turning off. It could be a bad or lose ground, fuse holder lose, or the amp is just bad.
Are there any decent head units available to replace the factory one? The factory unit is super low tech looking. My truck is the '17 model SV
When you made your cable to plug into the paa3. Did you connect all 3 pins on the xlr plug? The (+) , the (-), and the shield? Or did you just do the (+) and the (-) to the leads and leave the shield disconnected ?
+Jake Bradford we use all 3, pin 1 and 3 ground and pin 2 is positive.
+Five Star Car Stereo thanks for reply... I made one of these for my paa3 but left the shield pin disconnected .. Wasn't sure if that was right
+Jake Bradford did it work? I just copied one I saw in a tech forum.
How can I get a harness like that for a 2012 Nissan armada?
Would love to see a Nissan frontier. Redo or not.
Where did you fish the power cable from, I'm looking for a hole to pass my cable and cant find one
How bassy was it guys with the two shallow mount subs say compared to a sealed 12 in a 2cu ft box ?
Regular subs I a regular box will always win. These are audio tools, they get the job done. They are ok and some are really impressive for what they can do in small spaces. Truck life
Can i use the factory amp for my tweeters and install a 5 channel amp for the rest??
where can i get one of those long lights that you guys used

would you make and sell that same wire harness
how thick is the abs you use for amp mounts and fuse mounts?
john holmes depending on location and size 1/8 to 1/4. We have two types of plastic for in the car. Abs and a blow PCV called Sentra. You always have to use Abs under the hood though.

+Mike Miller a 9" would be an Alpine
Mike Miller funny u say that. I wanna change the factory deck on my 2017 p4x as well to something with apple car play. Great truck but Nissan dropped ball on this one. Put up a video if u do anything. Cheers

I have a 08 titan crew cab with rockford fosgate system. I had a 4200 nex installed but the dash kit I got on amazon was the wrong one? Can you guys point me in the right direction for this? Thanks.

LVcichlids check out this video. It is the long version of how we interfaced with the factory radio.
ruclips.net/video/6Zw04MVbNsM/видео.html
Five Star Car Stereo thanks for the info and response. Do you then just cut the line outs and solder rca plugs right on the ends of the wire? Sorry I'm new to all this.
LVcichlids for this system, yup. Kind of wish they were all this easy.
I would like to see a GMC Sierra crew cab build with some 10S OR 12S IF POSSIBLE

We installed 2 kicker shallow 10s under the rear seat. He had one there and upgraded to two. The factory sub was not connected to anything, the last shop cut it out.
thanks, I have a 2014 F250 that requires a box behind the rear seat. any suggestions?
+jmaslin yes we do a 1-12 Sealed behind the drivers side. We use the Phoenix Gold shallow drive for that. You can order the box from www.brightstarcaraudio.com you may have to call. Ask for Sean and tell them we sent you. They make the box for use special or so they say.

Nelda Cardenad I tried, he was adamant about keeping that radio. Thank you
For the love of God please turn that alarm off
don't know who made ti this install but he was lazy and celery laking of common sense I mean my first install looks better no experience but if you look on youtube you can find anything
